At Auburn Pediatric Dentistry, we believe each child enters our office as an individual with a diverse set of characteristics, needs, and behaviors. We embrace all children and work hard to adapt our practices to make each visit successful. It is a privilege to oversee the oral health needs of your children, and we will treat them in the same manner we would treat our own children.

We enjoy watching children grow over the years and become successful in maintaining their oral health. From the very first visit and throughout subsequent years, our specially trained team works to provide a comfortable and fun environment where children can feel relaxed and are able to learn about their oral health needs.

A partnership between you (the guardian) and our team is important in promoting healthy oral habits at home. At Auburn Pediatric Dentistry, you can expect a professional, fun atmosphere where you will be invited to play an important role in your childs oral hygiene.

As decisions concerning treatment options are needed, you will be fully informed of all treatments and possible outcomes. This will be conducted in a friendly, informative manner and will only progress when all options are fully understood and agreed upon by you.

We appreciate the opportunity to teach children the importance of oral health care and help them develop good habits when they are young. We believe these habits contribute to positive overall health benefits for the rest of their lives. Thank you for the privilege of being involved in the oral health care and overall development of your child.

Hello, friends! My name is Jamie Williams, a dental assistant for Auburn Pediatric Dentistry. I have worked for APD for 6 years now. I started working here after completing my externship from dental assisting school. I am married and have three kids.

I first met Dr. Derrow when my youngest child was referred for dental treatment by another office in town. My son was 4 years old and had never had any treatment other than a cleaning. After such a positive experience with Dr. Derrow and staff, my children have been patients ever since. I went back to school after all my children were in school full time, and became a dental assistant. I completed my externship at APD and was hired right after. I am happy to be part of a team that makes dental treatment a fun and positive experience.

They are so good at making my kids relaxed at the dentist. We drive around 90 minutes and it's well worth it.

My daughter loves Auburn Pediatric. She was always scared of the dentist. We started coming here and she loves it. She doesn't cry and refuse to go. The staff is very friendly.

Dr. Derrow and her staff were so wonderful and welcoming with my daughter during her appointment. My daughter has a lot of anxiety when it comes to dental and medical appointments and the staff was able to make her feel calm and even made her smile several times during and after her consultation! Thank you for the excellent first visit!

Our son was a patient here until they contacted his Orthodontist directly and forced them to remove his braces against our wishes, citing multiple cavities as the reason. We tried to get them to retract this to no avail. After the braces were removed, it was confirmed that he, in fact, had NO cavities, but the process to straighten his teeth, that we spent thousands of dollars on, has been halted.

We had a planned procedure today that the dentist failed to prepare us for. Rather than work around the hiccup, we were quickly referred elsewhere for treatment.

The staff at Dr. Derrow's office is always so welcoming and friendly. My boys are never nervous about going back to the dental chairs on their own. Dr. Derrow has always taken a moment at each visit to chat for a moment which makes the whole experience feel very personal!

The dental assistant was amazing. She made my daughter feel comfortable and she was so nice. The dentist made me feel a little off towards her. Not a welcoming feeling with her. Other than that she was kind to my daughter

We went to Auburn Pediatric Dentistry after my daughter fell and hit her mouth on the edge of a wooden toy box. She ended up knocking her 2 front teeth loose. The entire staff was so friendly and made my 2 year old daughter feel safe and comfortable. They did so much for us and saved my daughter from losing her teeth. We now send my son there as well and both kids absolutely love everyone there and are excited to go every 6 months.

UNETHICAL. Shame! Still remember when she informed me my 3-yr old had 8 cavities. Got a 2nd opinion after she also charged me 3x amount previously quoted (she did bring that down). 2nd opinion dentist assured me my child had zero cavities. 8 years later, said child still cavity-free. Also, Dr. kept sternly telling my child to swallow the toothpaste. He had always been instructed by me to never swallow toothpaste. Hopefully Dr. DERROW is more ethical today than back then.

I would highly recommend getting a 2nd opinion if an extensive treatment plan is offered here. Dr. Derrow recommended placing 8 stainless steel crowns on my 4 year old son along with several fillings. When asked about other options she told me there were no other options and that this is standard of care and proceeded to tell me all the costs which was close to 5k. Dr. Derrow questioned my concerns with replacing half my sons teeth with metal crowns at the age of 4. Today I went for a 2nd opinion at a much larger pediatric dental group where they took more X-rays and on teeth that were being recommended with treatment some had no issues. They recommended 1 zirconium (tooth colored) crown on a back tooth and traditionally repairing a few "tiny" cavities with fillings. The office went through the films showing not just the picture but all the views of the actual health of the tooth. The cost being just over 1k. I share my experience because many parents accept the first treatment plan offered because they believe "doctor knows best" this is a prime example of why parents should get those 2nd opinions. The mental health and self esteem for my son would have been dramatically affected if we trusted her. I do strongly believe there needs to be a second provider in the office for Dr. Derrow to consult with on her treatment recommendations.
