When I was a child, I was scared of the dentist. Luckily, I had a pediatric dentist who was patient and kind; he listened to me and made me feel safe taking time to build trust and, in doing so, he completely changed the way I felt about an approaching dental visit.
The care I received from my dentist and his team inspired me. They were calm and gentle, encouraging, and honest. They connected with me in a non-threatening manner, and made sure I always knew that I was the most important person in the room.
I grew up knowing I wanted to help children in the way I was helped, establishing comfort in the dental environment and starting little ones on the path to a lifetime of healthy smiles! Now, almost 15 years after starting to practice, I can say I love everything about my work almost as much as I treasure each child I have had the honor to meet and get to know.
As a pediatric dentist, I am passionate about making sure patients enjoy their time in the office. It is truly fun to chat with kids all day, hearing their stories of different activities, vacations, and things that are important to them. Seeing a child mature, and being part of their life, is deeply rewarding; I miss my patients when they decide they are old enough to move on to a general dentist.
As a pediatric dentist, I am just as passionate about providing each patient with the highestquality of dentistry. Through preventive care and early intervention we are able to establish oral health. And with useful, practical education, about nutrition and home dental hygiene, we help children develop a lifetime of healthy behaviors.
Throughout the year, I seek out continuing education classes to help ensure I am giving my patients the most up-to-date treatment and care. Likewise, my staff and I attend annual conferences and regularly complete online courses. Being a faculty member at UAB also keeps me current on the latest research, emerging trends, and new developments in pediatric dentistry.
I grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and have lived here in Auburn for a decade and a half. If Im not seeing patients, Im almost always to be found with my family: my wife Elizabeth and I have four active children, along with two dogs (Tucker works alongside me in the office as a therapy dog) and two cats. Yes, there is always something happening in our home! When we can get away, we love offshore fishing and relaxing at the beach.
A childs early exposures to dentistry have a lasting impact on his orher comfort in the dental environment and willingness to care fororal health. Dr. Greenleaf is a board-certified pediatric dentist who, in addition to owning Auburn Pediatric Dentistry, serves as faculty at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. As a parent, he is sensitive to your desires and concerns, and cares as much for your familys well-being as he does his own four children.
Dr. Greenleaf is supported by a remarkable, dedicated staff. All our team members love working with children! They are friendly, well-trained, and devoted to giving children a great dental experience. Its not uncommon to find them sitting on the floor, chatting with an anxious little one, or trading jokes during a cleaning. They are just as dedicated to providing you with accommodating, attentive customer service.
Although all our staff members are wonderful people, Tucker, our office therapy dog, is definitely our most popular team member! Hes always ready to greet the children and provides warmth and encouragement to those who are nervous. His happiness and eagerness to spend time with children is reciprocated by their desire to see him!

My daughter broke a tooth while eating a snack at school on Monday; the office was able to see her the same day I called (which was a relief!). Dr Greenleaf said her tooth was broken almost in half and the best thing to do was remove it, which would be her first time having a tooth pulled, they numbed her gums then after she was good and numb she had 4 shots and shortly after Dr Greenleaf began to remove the tooth. Dr Greenleaf and Gracey were amazing with my daughter!!! They told her she was doing a great good and they were proud of her. It wasn't an ideal experience for a scared 7 year old because the broken tooth didn't come out like it should and they had to extract the remaining broken tooth and root... But she got to keep a piece of the tooth, was told she did an amazing job and they were proud of her. Dr Greenleaf and his staff are amazing!! I would recommend them!

This practice has both friendly and professional front desk staff, hygienists, and Dentist. Building always appears clean, organized, and sanitary. Dr. Greenleaf has been my childrens' dentist for many years now.

I absolutely LOVE this pediatric facility. The front desk is very welcoming, the back staff is so sweet , and really knows how to make kids feel comfortable. My son had a emergency and I called an hour before closing , they told me to bring him in , got him in immediately and pulled his tooth all before closing . Highly recommend them !

The front desk girls are always friendly and helpful. The assistants and hygienists in the back are so patient, sweet, and professional. You can tell everyone truly loves their job. I was always terrified of the dentist growing up (hello 90's) and I am so happy that my daughter looks forward to her dentist appointments every 6 months! Keep up the good work y'all! I try to refer anyone I can to your office! You rock!

As soon as I arrived I was greeted by the receptionist at the front she is very nice and sweet , the Doctor was very gentle and nice with my son and I really appreciate that and he was very clear on the procedure that needed to be done. After the procedure was performed they receptionist offered my baby a popsicle that was a very nice thing to do. I would highly recommend them for anyones kids in the age range starting at 2 !

My kids love Dr. Greenleaf and his staff as well as I do! They are wonderful, patient and let me go back with them. I never feel rushed or Uncomfortable when I have a question. I would Highly recommend them to any parent for their kiddos!

Dr. Greenleaf and his staff provided great service for my children during our 5 years in Auburn. The team is professional, courteous and ensured my children were well taken care of during each visit. We will miss them dearly and hope tothe dentist in our new city are just as wonderful as Dr. Greenleaf and his team.

The weather was terrible the day we went to see Dr. Greenleaf and he, & his sweet staff, managed to get both the twins fillings done in about 15 minutes! They are always great, but that appointment was remarkable because of how well they have things organized.

Auburn Pediatric Dentistry is the best place for kids. My two girls always say they're excite to go to the dentist because of the extremely kid-friendly environment they offer. They cater so well to the kids, an the staff is incredibly kind and patient. They make my girls feel so good about their teeth!
