Dr. Barrett graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology in 2001. She completed her four-year dental education at the University of Louisville in 2005, where she also served as Chair for the Council of Students within the American Dental Education Association. She concluded her studies with a three-year post-graduate program for the specialty of orthodontics at the University of Michigan in 2008. Concurrently, she received a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics from the Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies. The results of her graduate research were published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in 2010.

Dr. Barrett is active in many professional organizations including: the American Association of Orthodontists, the California Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Berkeley Dental Society.

Having been deprived of the sun most of her young life, Dr. Barrett goes to the beach often with her husband and kids. When not soaking up the sun's rays she can be found running marathons or attending musical productions.

She brings to the practice 20 years experience which she worked about 15 of those years as an orthodontic chair side RDA until she transitioned to the front office. Ronda enjoys being a part of improving smiles and self confidence in our patients. Her extensive knowledge of treatment and office procedures makes our practice run smoothly! In her spare time she enjoys traveling to see her daughter. She also enjoys camping, fishing the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Rose graduated from Sonoma State with a degree in Biology in 2012 and received her registered dental assistant training at College of Alameda in 2015. She worked in general dentistry for 3 years and then decided to become orthodontic assistant. She began working with Dr. Barrett as an intern and learned as much as she could. Now, she assists with placing braces, taking orthodontic records and doing treatment adjustments. Outside of work, Rose enjoys outdoor activities such as snowboarding and hiking. Her favorite thing about being an assistant is working with the patients. The patients are fun and she enjoys keeping up with their lives, interests, and activities. The best part, of course, is seeing their beautiful new smiles!

We look forward to meeting you at your first visit to our office. During this time, we will help you get acquainted with our office and learn about your orthodontic treatment. We understand that each patient's orthodontic treatment is different, and we promise to give you the personal attention you deserve. Your first visit will consist of an initial examination and a discussion of your potential treatment options. This important visit will allow the orthodontist to determine if this is the right time to begin treatment.

We believe that good orthodontic care begins with open communication. We promise to speak candidly with you about our diagnosis and recommendations, any alternative treatments and any symptoms present that may require further treatment. Working together, we can achieve a true partnership, with one common goal helping you achieve a beautiful, confident smile!

Along with the American Association of Orthodontists, we recommend that a child receive their first orthodontic screening by the age 7. By starting treatment early, we are able to recognize potential problems early and correct them before they become more serious. This not only saves you and your child time, but also money.

Early interceptive orthodontic treatment has proven to be beneficial for the overall desired result. Because a young childs permanent teeth have not finished erupting, we are able to thoroughly evaluate the front-to-back and side-to-side tooth relationships and address any impending problems at its earliest stage.

During your childs initial evaluation we will first determine if there are any problems that need to be addressed, such as potential crowding, open bite, overbite or gummy smiles. It is possible that immediate treatment is not necessary at the time or even at all. However, if treatment is indicated, we will create a personalized treatment plan for your child that will prove to be the most beneficial for his/her specific case.

Early orthodontic treatment varies between patients, but may include removable or fixed appliances that can provide more room for crowded, erupting teeth; preserve space for unerupted teeth; create facial symmetry through manipulating jaw growth; reduce the possibility of tooth extraction; and reduce overall treatment time in braces.

Dr Barrett , as well as her staff, were above and beyond professional in facilitating my request for a new treatment plan for my braces. I experienced some difficulties with my previous doctor which left me with some very painful brackets and discomfort. Dr Barrett was not only patient, she was also very understanding when providing me extended referrals to create a treatment plan that is successful for both my oraldontics as well as my smile.

Strongly recommend Dr Barrett and her stellar staff! I got three assessments and Dr Barrett was the only one who was willing to try not pulling teeth. Worked out great and I'm so happy to recommend this practice to anyone.

Dr Aubrey and her team are professionalism with a smile. While a patient for over two years they showed me great care, patience and flexibility. I was always quickly scheduled for on the fly adjustments if brackets broke or when I experienced any discomfort. They've also taken a great deal of precautions to provide a clean and safe space for treatment in the midst of the pandemic. I'm so happy with my new smile. I highly recommend Dr Aubrey and her team.
