Dr. Aubin has been an Orthodontist for 20 plus years. He could not imagine doing anything else. Creating beautiful smiles can be life changing for many patients. A beautiful smile is warm, welcoming and can act as a key in bring about a bright future.
In the pursuit of excellence, Dr. Aubin is committed to achieving the highest quality of patient care in Orthodontics, TMJ therapy, and Obstructive sleep apnea. His goal is to customize treatment in a comfortable, caring and fun environment.
Outside the office, he enjoys kayaking, hiking, camping, snowboarding, and traveling with his family. Working with his hands-on home improvement projects, in and around his home and office, are vital to his balanced approach on life.
Dr. Aubin attended Georgetown University School of Dentistry graduating summa cum laude with his Doctorate in Dental Surgery. After dental School, he spent a year in a residency program at New England Medical Center in Boston. He then practiced dentistry for a year in Massachusetts and went on to Tufts University School of Orthodontics for his specialty training in Orthodontics.
His commitment to learning the latest techniques is instrumental in providing the very best care for his patients. He attends numerous continual educational lectures throughout the year, learning about developments and advances in dentistry. As an active member of the national dental and orthodontic societies he contributes time for the betterment of these organizations. He also lectures to dentist and medical providers about the benefits of orthodontics and the needed to diagnosis and treat TMD and Obstructive sleep apnea. In early 2020 he conducted a 2 hour lecture to approximately 100 dental professionals about the interrelationship of Orthodontics to TMD and Obstructive sleep apnea.
Giving back to the community is an integral part of Dr. Aubins office philosophy. He believes that supporting children in their extracurricular activities enhances academic performance and general well-being. Recently he donated mouth guards to numerous town sport leagues. (Northborough and Southborough Lacrosse and Northborough Pop Warner Football Teams etc.) Helping to ensuring the dental safety of the participates as they interact with their peers. He has also sponsored teams: Northborough Baseball & Softball Association, Shrewsbury Little League, Wakefield Woman's hockey, etc. He has also donated free services and products at the Northborough Applefest & St. Marys Family Fair.
He formed the accredited,Northborough Council of Continuing Education (NCCE) , study club for dentist and dental professionals. This study club has hosting approval by Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).

I just had the realization that I was previously living with TMJ dysfunction and pain for 10+ years and Dr. Aubin's office was quite literally a 5 minute drive from my house this whole time. Right across the street from the Farmland store I would go to from time to time.. This man cured my TMJ symptoms and is probably one of last few providers in the dental field that I feel really cares about treating patients. I love this guy. My TMJ issues were described to me by my oral surgeons as stemming from muscular/fascial pain. They wanted to treat me with botox injections, eating softer diets, nightguard for clenching, etc. But these are mostly just modalities for treating the symptoms and not the root cause! Through treatment with Dr. Aubin, we found that my comfortable bite position is when my lower jaw is positioned more forward, which I believe is where my mandible should be. I now no longer have clicking or popping, jaw pain when I chew or talk at length, or migraines. He has everything you need for TMJ (cone beam CT, joint vibration analysis, and his knowledge) and also uses the night time (deprogrammer) appliance and a day time repositioning appliance. Based on my research of TMJ pain users on Reddit, the people who've felt their TMJ was cured/relieved also had providers use these same appliances & strategy. I've recently went back to the same oral surgeons who've tried to treat me with the soft diet advice, etc, and they've confirmed my TMJ is good where its at, but now my occlusion is off. Normally, this could be corrected with orthodontics but my case is definitely a bit more complicated. I've found out that I have a deficient maxillary jaw. Most likely due to my tongue tie and poor tongue resting posture during growth and also previous ortho treatment as a kid while not having my tongue to the roof of my mouth. I will need to have my maxillary jaw advanced forward, which I hope to achieve through surgically assisted maxillary skeletal expansion with reversible pull headgear (giving me a few mm of forward advancement). But my baseline, TMJ structure, is good. Thus I've been set out on a good path by Dr. Aubin in achieving my medical goals of having a healthy, functional jaw and airway breathing. Hope this review helps. If you have TMJ issues, I will always recommend Dr. Aubin. He has told me he gets more stimulated in learning and treating craniofacial pain than he is about just putting braces on people. So you're in great hands if you have TMJ problems. The only complaint I have is I wish the lady at the front desk in Wakefield could be nicer, and a more respectful human being.

Dr. Aubin and staff have been great! I am in my late 30s and had braces and an expander as a kid. Over the years a few teeth moved out of place, so I went to Dr. Aubin seeking Invisalign to get back a perfect smile. He noticed my very narrow palate and recommended that before aligners, I do a palate expander to widen my smile. I sought out opinions from two other orthodontists who said palate expansion in adults simply wasn't possible. I've had my removable expander for over a month and so far minimal disruption to my day to day life, very little pain, and I'm adjusting to speaking with it in well. The best part, I've experienced a significant increase in my ability to breathe out of my nose, which I always struggled with and thought my only option was corrective surgery for a deviated septum. Dr. Aubin said I should see benefit through palate expansion in my airways, and he was right. I saw an increase in my airways within the first two weeks of turning my expander. Dr. Aubin takes a holistic look at issues and corrects at the source of the problem. I'm so grateful I found Dr. Aubin and staff, as I'm already seeing benefits above and beyond what I expected.

Aubin Orthodontics is 100% AMAZING! Not only are their services top-notch and affordable, but the staff is also friendly and accomodating! True story...my daughters NEVER once complained about going to their ortho appointments in two years. And Dr. Aubin's estimated treatment time was spot on for both. I have recommended his office to multiple friends and family!

I am very glad to provide feedback on your services. I did not know about you until I had an emergency regarding my jaw locking etc. after recent dental surgery. You were referred to me from a local dentist in Wakefield Ma. From the moment I came to you in Wakefield with my situation; I was completely amazed by the very personalized care I received. Sure, there may be other places that provide personalized care; but your office goes beyond that. Let me first start with the staff that Dr. Aubin has. The promptness of returning calls if you are busy. The courtesy of actually listening to a patients concerns coupled with the genuine desire and flexibility to try and accommodate making an appointment for the patient while understanding how busy life can be for folks is so appreciated. The professionalism while explaining insurance or any other administrative issues; is clear and instills a sense of trust that you are doing all you can to try to help the patient financially regarding the type of insurance they have. Insurance as you know can be very complicated sadly. The staff in a nutshell is quite efficient in diffusing what could be a scary medical situation or confusing insurance stuff etc. They make you feel right at home. Dr. Aubin, some people know their profession and simply administer treatment by the book with little or no explanation or otherwise. You will not get that with him. His open honest dialogue combined with his pleasant personality will make you feel as though you made the right medical choice. His in depth experience beginning as a dentist then an orthodontist throughout many years; will allow you to clearly see this doctor has dedicated his professional career to providing the best that orthodontics has to offer. Anyone's first impression of any medical/dental practice is often based on the front office staff. Dr. Aubin's office replied quickly when I left a voice mail to schedule my first appointment. Dr. Aubin went over the options to unlock my jaw and ease my TMJ, but he went into length about cold laser treatment. I was at the point where I was fully expecting to need surgery, so the option to try something non-invasive sounded almost too good to be true. After a few weeks of cold laser therapy I can fully open my jaw, yawn, eat more than yogurt and soup. Amazing! It had been weeks since I could move my jaw, and years since I could fully open my mouth without it popping or locking up. The office was great at finding appointments that fit my schedule, and they were always prompt with getting me in after I checked-in. It was almost bittersweet when I was done with my treatment.
