I just had a tooth extracted today and I just want to let you know that Dr. P is wonderful. His office staff and his skill set and work ethic are sensational. I highly recommend this office and Dr. for any of your oral surgery needs thank you very very much.

My time with Atlantic Oral Surgery has been amazing to say the least. I was due for wisdom tooth extraction, and also needed molars removed due to the wisdom teeth causing issues growing in, resulting in severe pain and swelling. Scheduling was a breeze with the front desk. They are friendly, attentive and scheduled me as soon as possible due to my severe pain. After arriving for my evaluation I was given a specialized light and laser treatment by Maria to ease my swelling and pain. WOW! I felt my pain fading away with the light after only minutes. This was a life saver as my surgery date wasn't for a week or so. Dr. Justin Ponquinette is the best. He immediately put me to ease and assured me he would take care of me. He explained everything perfectly and made sure I understood what was causing my pain, and how he would solve these issues for me. He gave me multiple treatment options, with the pros and cons of each plan of action. On the day of my surgery, he went over everything with me again. I was visibly nervous and he took the time to calm me and assure me I would be okay. My healing was very fast, and I continued to receive the laser and light treatment at all of my follow up appointments. That machine is amazing! I honestly felt like it was a huge contributor to my speedy recovery. I would recommended Dr. Justin Ponquinette and all the staff at Atlantic Oral Surgery to anyone I know! Atlantic Oral Surgery truly saved my life.

If dental surgery is unfortunately on your "bucket list" to improve your health, fortunately you can skip the research and look no further than Atlantic Oral Care! As a holistic health coach, I am acutely aware of seeking root cause, often overlooked reasons for resilient chronic illness and disease. Some of the most overlooked causes are "dental interference fields", i.e dental issues that interfere with the health of the body systemically or drive disease somewhere distant in the body. I highly recommend Atlantic Oral Surgery. I recently had my wisdom teeth removed, I have only positive things to say. I'm dealing with a few different chronic medical conditions; because of this, there are factors I need to consider (even with routine procedures) that the average person would not have to take into account. Dr. Ponquinette and Maria went above and beyond to make sure that the wisdom teeth surgery did not lead to problems related to my existing health conditions. They also did ozone, stem cell, and laser treatments with me to improve healing and reduce inflammation from the surgery, and I believe these made a huge difference. I wanted to share this here, in case there are others in a similar situation who may not be aware of these helpful measures. I drove 1.5 hrs each way to see Dr. Ponquinette and Maria (even though there were oral surgeons much closer to where I live) because most other places did not offer these options - and it was definitely worth the longer drive! On top of that, the staff were incredibly friendly, understanding, and compassionate. They took the time to listen to my concerns, answer my questions, and even read through past medical records that I had brought to my consultation. It is clear they really care about their patients.

Had an infected tooth on Sunday. Extreme pain by Monday morning. Dr Ponquinette though completely booked brought me in that morning and had me back that evening for extraction. Tuesday no pain, no bleeding just a bit swollen. If I could give Dr P and his staff 10 stars I would. A great experience all around with incredible relief.

Atlantic oral surgery is the absolute best, my niece had her very complex wisdom teeth removed there, and between Dr P amazing skills and Maria's laser / light therapy, she recovered without any problems or complications!!! We are so grateful for the outstanding care my niece received, the staff is incredible as well .

Dr P and Maria pretty much held my hand and helped me through a MAJOR oral surgery...a five hour procedure which included 7 implants, 2 sinus lifts, bone grafts and many many extractions. The care I have received has been nothing short of spectacular and I can't thank them and the entire team at Atlantic Oral Surgery enough for making a difficult surgery something i can put in my rear view mirror and go on to a better quality of life. I cannot recommend them highly enough!!

I was so impressed with Atlantic Oral Surgery, that when I needed another tooth extracted, I knew right where to go. Dr. P extracted my tooth and placed an implant in the previous extracted site. The office is state of the art, like using stem cells for the bone graft, light therapy for healing and swelling, ozone to sterilize the area and a new local anesthetic called Experal, that can keep you numb for three days. I never needed and narcotic pain medication and only took Ibuprofen. If I could, I would give more than 5 stars. Everyone there is top notch. A really fantastic team!!

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Ponquinette and his entire office staff. I went in for four (4) complex wisdom teeth to be removed. I went in nervous and Dr. P made me feel really safe and comfortable. The entire procedure felt seamless. Timely, proficient and he certainly knows what he is doing. Maria, the Office Manager was amazing and caring. We did light treatments combined with laser treatment. I'm extremely surprised with how quickly my recovery was, within 5 hours I was talking/ eating with no pain killers. I highly recommend combining these additional treatments in addition to any surgery, it really sped up the recovery. I recommend Atlantic Oral Surgery, it was a great, safe and amazing experience.

they are literally amazing! took so much time with me, genuinely wonderful. My first light therapy appointment was today and i was kind of nervous but it worked magic! i couldn't open my mouth with out having pain and after my first session i opened it almost twice as much with no pain! they are so caring and fun to be around. a truly great environment and the best care i have ever been given. they found what was wrong with me when other drs couldn't and they don't rush you. they spend so much time with you and want you to feel your best and they want the best for their patients! i love them

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Ponquinette and his wife Maria. After almost 2 months of pain and severe headaches, that included seeing a dentist, my primary MD, and an ENT, Dr. Justin found the problem. On my first visit, he did a complete scan of the area, including my sinuses, which showed nothing suspicious. However, based on my continued pain and discomfort, Dr. Justin recommended a labial frenectomy to remove a band of tissue of my upper lips by my gums. The procedure gave me a measure of relief, but the pain persisted. Dr. Justin suggested I get a Cat scan so he could make a proper evaluation. I was able to schedule my scan (despite the holidays and Covid). The read out from the radiologist suggested a sinus infection, which my doctor treated me for with steroids and antibiotics weeks earlier, to no avail. The next time I saw Dr. Ponquinette we discussed the report and my continued pain and symptoms. I explained to him what I was feeling and how I thought I was losing my mind. He said he wanted to study the actual scan, not merely the report, and he would get back to me with a plan. I had only been home about forty-five minutes when he called me back. After I left, he immediately took the time and went over my scan and found the problem. Dr. Justin explained the procedure and planned for me to come in the next day. Because I had a gap in my teeth by my upper molar, that area of the jaw had deteriorated. I had surgery to remove soft bone that was causing the infection. Dr. Justin biopsied the area and, thank God, it was benign. I no longer suffer from headaches and my jaw and gums feel fine. I am so thankful to Dr. Justin Ponquinette and his wife, Maria. They didn't give up even when I thought I was losing my mind. Maria was extremely helpful, guiding me through the healing process. I got LED light therapy, and some supplements to support my body to heal from the procedure. I was also very pleased with the attentiveness of the staff. I thank God for leading me to such a wonderful doctor and staff.

So happy to read these reviews and see how appreciative ppl are of Dr. Justin and his wife, Maria. Dr.J extracted 4 of my teeth in one visit. I was a little worried about doing that many at once but he was great. It was a lot of work and he removed a boney knob in prep for my dentures. The whole thing went smoothly. I'd recommend him and his team to everyone. Ppl mention Maria, his wife, who is an absolute angel as so many have pointed out. They're such a great match. They should be on Dr. Phil !!!

I had several extractions and ceramic implants and I have always had a great experience with all my appointments. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Ponquinette and his wife Maria. After almost 3 years of trying to save an upper molar that had been bothering me, after seeing multiple holistic dentists and two endodontists who both agreed I did not need a root canal (which I wanted to avoid), I saw Dr. P. We did a cone beam scan which did not show anything suspicious. However, based on everything else I had done and tried and my symptoms, he suspected my tooth was fractured, even though it did not show on imaging. We agreed that it made sense to extract the tooth. I had the extraction as well as the implant placement on the same day. He told me they can't always do that, depending on how things look once the tooth is extracted, but I became a candidate. I opted for PRF, harvesting my own bone instead of using a cadaver, and opted for a ceramic implant. I got ozone therapy, IV vitamin C and antibiotics, laser therapy, and left with oral antibiotics, homeopathics, and some supplements to support my body to heal from the procedure. I came to Dr. Ponquinette because he offers ceramic implants as well as the variety of services offered that combine Western and Eastern modalities. I was also very pleased with the attentiveness and responsiveness of his wife Maria. She made a tough procedure much more calming. I am looking forward to finalizing the process to place the crown and move on from the dental symptoms that had been impacting my daily life.

Fantastic people. Broke a tooth was in insane pain. The helpful staff explained all my treatment options to me and helped me choose what would suit me best. Process went well healed up great.
