Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional service and is constantly striving to implement the latest technological advances and surgical techniques when providing surgical care.

  • 1. Exceptional ServiceFrom reception to recovery, we ensure you are satisfied and taken care of. This includes effective and transparent communication, custom treatment plans, and a qualified and trusted staff.
  • 2. A Safe EnvironmentYour safety and comfort are our top priority, which is why our practice takes every precaution to ensure that our patients and our team follow the proper health and safety protocols. Each one of our staff members will go the extra mile to ensure we dont leave anything up to chance when it comes to creating a safe environment.
  • 3. Leading-Edge TechnologyOur practice is continuously striving to incorporate only the most leading-edge and advanced technology and equipment available, to ensure that we are proactively and accurately diagnosing and treating each patient.
  • Dental implants vs. dentures, theres a whole lot of people who have a whole lot to say about both. However, have you double-checked your facts when it came to dental implants? At Atlantic Oral Surgery, we pride ourselves on our exceptional team of doctors, surgeons, and administrative staff who are dedicated to guiding you through the entire process from reception to recovery. A part of that promise is to make sure youre all clued-up about what to expect when considering or scheduling your dental implant treatment.

It is completely normal to approach an implant surgery with caution and hesitation. Upon first glance, the procedure can seem daunting, and the process leading up to having to undergo a dental implant surgery is often also uncomfortable or traumatic.

Oh, the mysterious world of oral surgery. Our team boasts exceptional oral surgeons and staff, who strive to provide the utmost care, professionalism, and clear communication to their patients. However, in an era where unsolicited medical advice is just a search engine away, its easy to get lost in a mix of myths and facts.

This is probably the one we hear the most. Most people are under the impression that recovery from oral surgery is long and painful. In reality, however, most oral surgeries have fairly quick recoveries that dont keep you from your daily activities for too long. You might feel a little tender or have to watch what you eat for a few days, but its not nearly as bad as some of the misinformation online depicts it to be. Each procedure is different and has a different recovery process. Trust your oral surgeon to give you a detailed and accurate recovery timeline.

Check those facts again! In many cases, a specialist will be needed to perform more complex surgeries or procedures. While its true that your dentist plays a crucial role in your dental health larger and more complex procedures will be handed over to your oral surgeon.

To most patients surprise most procedures are partially or fully covered by their dental insurance plan. At Atlantic Oral Surgery, each payment plan is tailored to fit the specific requirements and needs of the patient and is designed to be financially sustainable, without having to compromise on your health.

Dont worry, luckily were here to clear up anything that might still leave you feeling anxious or concerned. At Atlantic Oral Surgery, we pride ourselves on being there with you every step of the way from reception to recovery. If youre looking for more info regarding our practice, procedures or if youre ready to make your booking be sure to contact us here! Wed love to chat and help guide you through the process. Lets bring back that smile!

So I had to have two wisdom teeth removed about 8 months ago, (they were overcrowding and hurting like nothing I have ever experienced) and these surgeons performed the extractions so fast that I was almost amazed. Also, the pain and healing process was minimal after. Which is saying a lot considering it was two wisdoms. The only thing I can say, is the waiting time in the lobby was over an hour.... Which is insane. And their bedside manner lacks some. But, I'll take a pain free removal and fast service any day. I still have to get my other two wisdom teeth removed, and although I'm slightly nervous.... It's nothing compared to how I was.

I got my wisdom teeth extracted and some premolars... so I was very nervous but the survey was quick! The staff were so kind starting from just my initial consultation! The Dr is also very kind and does his best to take care of you. The front desk has also been great answering all of my questions post-op and they always have welcoming smiles and attitudes.

I took my terrified 8 year old son here for an extraction. He was referred here by his Pediatric Dentist. We drove nearly 45 minutes to this office and made sure to arrive 15 minutes early for the appointment. We had to wait an hour before they took him back. An hour for him to sit there and be terrified while waiting to go back. I will definitely let our Pediatric Dentist know to reconsider sending Pediatric patients to this office.

I got my wisdom teeth extracted about ten years ago by Dr. Johnson and had a horrible experience. My gums didn't heal properly and kept getting infected. Dr Johnson would have me come in and without looking in my mouth, he would prescribe a round of antibiotics. After the 3rd consecutive infection, he looked in my mouth and realized I needed another surgery clean out the incisions. The wild part is that my brother had a similar experience. We had surgery at the same time and we both got multiple infections and he needed another surgery to clean everything up. We told our dentist what happened and they said "oh yeah yes normally don't send patients to them". This was 10 years ago, so I'm hoping his practice has improved. But if it's anything like it was, I recommend finding somewhere else.

The most unprofessional experience I have ever had I have a fear of the dentist and no one there was accommodating at all besides the man that did my surgery he was able to make me less nervous I wish I knew his name but the rest of the staff there are completely unprofessional they never asked me for an ID before they started doing my surgery they only asked me for my name and I signed two pieces of paper I explicitly told them after my first surgery that the painkillers that they gave me did not work I had to take the entire bottle for them to work so they agreed on giving me double the milligram I got to the pharmacy and they prescribe me the same exact thing that they did for my first surgery so I was in pain from my wisdom teeth being extracted for over a week I would steer clear from these crooks constantly something is broken I can't even get my replacement teeth now because they lost my x-rays and it's gonna be another month before I'm able to get x-rays so if you want to be without teeth for months do you wanna be in constant pain because they messed up your surgery by all means go ahead go there

I have debated for a couple of weeks about making this review but I think if I would have seen this review prior to going, I would have found somewhere else. The initial consultation went great, or so I thought. The doctor and I discussed everything that was going on with my son's teeth and we set a plan in place. Well we got there the day of surgery and I won't say exactly what happened but as we were waiting for my son to be called back, the office had a couple of "visitors" that had important private things to discuss and instead of the office manager taking them into the back or anywhere else not around patients, she decided that handling that type of business was appropriate for the waiting room to hear. That was red flag number one and exactly when I should have gotten up and left but we stayed. Fast forward a bit, the nurse comes out says my son was done and we could meet them downstairs. We get down there, she hands me a piece of paper with after care instructions, tells me he was a great patient, and hurry's back inside. At this point I'm trying to take care of my son but after we get him home I notice that this kid looked like a pin cushion. They stuck him 8 times looking for vein. 8 times, and according to my son half of the time the doctor didn't even feel for the vein first he just went in blind and dug around then pulled out the needle and moved on to the next spot. Then the plan we discussed with the doctor was not what happened at all and I was never informed on what actually did happen. I had to call and talk to somebody in the office who tried to help but come to find out, after taking my son back to his regular dentist, somebody either the office person or the doctor lied about what they did during the procedure. So in other words, most likely I was told something to try to appease me and it turned out to be a damn lie. I will never use this office again and I will make sure everyone and every dentist I come across here's the whole story so maybe they will stop recommending this place.

Matthew Johnson,Jr done my oral surgery. Took me back to the room. No talking at all. Next thing I remember, an Antheologist covered my face around nose and under my chin. Next thing I remember was being put in my friend's car. DID NOT STOP BLEEDING. CALLED, THEY SAID KEEPING CHANGING THE GAUGE/APPLY PRESSURE. WENT ON FOR HOURS. 911 WAS EVENTUALY CALLED. NONE OF ER DRS COULD STOP THE BLEEDING. I ALMOST DIED!! FINALLY THEY CALLED IN AN ENT. HE HAD TO CAUTHERIZE THE SIGHT WHERE JOHNSON HAD REMOVED BONE IN ROOF OF MY MOUTH. ENT SAID AFTER ALL HIS YEARS OF PRACTICE, HE HAD NEVER HAD TO USE OVER 1BOX OF THOSE SILVERDENE(FOR CATERIZING) HE USED 2 BOXES BEFORE HE COULD GET BLEEDING STOPPED. I WAS SO WEAK. COULD NOT WALK FOR 3 DAYS. KEPT CALLING JOHNSON'S OFFICE, BUT HE DID NOT WANT TO SEE ME, EVEN AFTER TELLING HIM I WAS HAVING LOTS OF PROBLEMS. TOOK AT LEAST 2 MONTHS TO HEAL ENOUGH WHERE I COULD HAVE NOTHING BUT LIQUIDS. I DEFINITELY HAD A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT THIS PLACE AND WILL NEVER GO BACK. EVER!!!! MY OPINION, I WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND HIM FOR ANYTHING. EVEN MY PCP AND ER DR'S WERE VERY UNHAPPY ABOUT THE WAY I WAS TREATED AND JUST SENT OUT OF JOHNSON'S OFFICE. THEIR WORDS, " LOOKS LIKE YOU'VE BEEN THROUGH A SLAUGHTER HOUSE!!!! My SURGERY WAS APRIL 28th, AND STILL HAVING PROBLEMS FROM THE SURGERY!!! I WILL NEVER EVEN PULL INTO HIS PARKING LOT. NEVER WANT TO SEE HIM AGAIN!!!

This is such an awesome place! Dr Johnson and Dr Johnson Jr are both amazing oral surgeons and people. They are the only ones I know of that accepts Medicaid which is a big deal cause dental work is expensive and not everyone can afford it especially those that are receiving Medicaid and disability like myself. They actually care about people more than money which is super rare these days. They are both very professional and very thorough and they talk to you and try to make you feel as comfortable as possible. They don't do anything till your off to sleep so there is no pain and they are very thorough with post op instructions. They also have a good sense of humor, just all around amazing good hearted genuine people who actually care about you. The whole staff there is amazing! No one likes having teeth pulled but they are all so nice and attentive and professional and they make the whole experience so easy and bearable. The whole process was so quick and easy. I called had an appointment 2 days later and the very next day I already had my extractions. The wait wasn't long at all the waiting room is super nice there is a really cool aquarium there with a Nemo and a Dory lol so that's cool. I want to say thank you to everyone there, all the staff and Dr Johnson and Dr Johnson Jr you all are so amazing and very genuine. You can tell you all actually care about your patients and don't want them to be in any pain. I wish you all the best! Thank you so much for making my visits the best experience they could be for having to get teeth pulled lol.I absolutely love this place and I recommend it for anybody. I can't say enough good things about this amazing place and these amazing people. 10/10 highly recommend!

I have been here twice. First for my top teeth which 13 pulled and that were amazing can't say one bad thing about that experience! But then I went back a few weeks later to get my bottoms done 7 pulled...this time was different! From the start one of my extraction sites just didn't feel right. Waited it out but called after three days...all I kept being told was use salt water. Called again the next day...same answer...The weekend came and I was in such bad pain it was worse than any pain I've ever had. I ended up at the er and had an infection of one of the extraction sites ozzing pus!!! Thank God for the er...Also Monday was memorial day so office was closed. Tuesday called they finally wanted me to come in but it would be Wednesday at 2 pm....y'all I got there and they tell me we tried to call you the surgeon isn't in but we sent a mouth wash over!!!! So your telling me after 7 days of excruciating pain your not even going to have someone look and make sure it's healing okay!!!!! Nothing they never even looked in my mouth to check!!!!! My opinion and the way I feel is they got there money pulling teeth after that if you need post care ya better off calling someone else, cause these people didn't care...if you was hurting, sick or ya know having an INFECTION OF THE EXTRACTION SITE THEY MADE!!!!
