Originally from Scotland. Dr. Mitchell received his undergraduate degree from Manchester Metropolitan University, his dental degree at Birmingham University and his post-graduate training from the University of Florida.
Dr. Mitchell has practiced dentistry since 1996 and is active in his profession. He belongs to the American Dental Association (ADA), Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), American Academy of Dental Anesthesiology (ADSA), The Florida Dental Society of Anesthesiology (FDSA).
He has advanced training in dental sedation and the placement of dental implants. Dr. Mitchell enjoys learning and is a member of the Spear Education program. Dr. Mitchell is an adjunct professor and clinical instructor at Daytona State College of Dental Hygiene. Dr. Mitchell enjoys traveling, family time (with his three children), learning languages, audiobooks, cooking, wine tasting as well as health and fitness.

I needed a crown among other teeth work. Dr. Mitchell and his assistants, Evon, surpassed all my expectation. They were supportive to my concerns, and they addressed my dental issues quickly. Had a appointment today and 300pm to get number 18 pulled which I believe is a wisdom tooth..Dr Mitchell office was so great and took me in as scheduled. Had 2 bad past experiences with other local dentist that was a nightmare..Dr Mitchell has a great bed side manner and explained the whole experience that I was going to have..I hate dentist period but I felt so comfortable with him.all the staff is great...I was a new patient and got a welcome letter and a water bottle ..to me that means so much welcoming me to there family. I am going to schedule appointment to have a few implants...I'm a big fan..and kudos to the whole staff...thank you for being so perfect...

I was looking for a local dentist about a year ago after not having been to one in an embarrassingly long time. It has been so long that I had to have an extraction on one tooth and a root canal and crown on another tooth. This office did my root canal and crown. Was it pleasant? No, but it was necessary and the staff was very calming and supportive. Everyone is very friendly and professional. I've recently had my 3rd cleaning with them and plan on continuing with that every 6 months.

Just had my wisdom teeth pulled from Dr. Mitchell and he is the best. I've been seeing him for years and he always is super nice, calming and reassuring about what it is you are having done. The staff is always great, and they do give follow up calls after a procedure has been done to see how you are doing.

I've had so many horrible experiences over the years with tooth extractions at some of the best dentist offices around and I can say that my experience with Atlantic family dentistry went so smooth and was painless the main dentist woman took her time extracting the tooth and it was already broken so I'm assuming it's hard to remove the tooth in one piece but she did it perfectly And I was able to schedule an appointment almost immediately If I'm recommending a dentist then definitely give them a try trust me worth every penny

Dr Mitchell and team are always super friendly and attentive! I've been going to them for years, and the genuine care and knowledge they have regarding oral hygiene and care is phenomenal. From the fantastic team that books your appointments, the team that assists Dr Mitchell while doing procedures, to the hygienists - 5 stars! My only issue is that I wish they had been open when I was a child growing up. I think I would've had a better experience when it comes to going to the dentist - and inevitably not being fearful of having routine maintenance and if need be procedures to fix things. Totally not their fault, I'm just saying that I may or may not be part chicken! Go see them for your next procedure, and rest assured that you are in great hands.
