From the age of seven I knew that I was destined to become a dentist. After having completed dental school, five years in the Navy and a General Practice Residency, I came to the realization that my interests lay in the pain relief aspects of dentistry. I saw pain as a complex challenge that required solving a puzzle. A puzzle composed of multiple, seemingly unrelated, components.
Today I know that it is not just the desire to alleviate pain that motivates patients, it is also their desire to retain their natural dentition for the rest of their lives. I have discovered that everyone has a slightly different agenda for their teeth and for themselves.I have become the person they would consult when they wanted to save their teeth, regardless of the obstacles in their way.
My practice and I have evolved to address the needs of these patients. I have developed the skills to ensure that I can save their teeth whether the patient needs a simple pulpotomy to alleviate their immediate pain, complex root canal therapy on a calcified molar, or a surgical apicoectomy to repair a perforated root.
Once I leave the office I enter a different world. My personal life consists of stimuli chosen to balance, yet complement, the stresses of the office. My passions are music, tennis, running, hiking, biking, and playing the saxophone.
Dr. Sempira received her DDS from the Indiana University School of Dentistry, completed her Endodontic Residency at the Medical College of Virginia (VCU), and her Apicoectomy and Surgical Continuing Education was completed at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Dunwoody. Dr. Sempira has been in private practice since 1999.

The staff was warm and friendly. They explained every step of the process of the root canal to me and answered all my questions. I was kind of scared because never had a root canal before, but I felt very comfortable and at ease during the procedure. Thank you for a great Job.

I was treated very professionally. The doctor was highly experienced, effective and efficient. I felt like I got very personal attention. I was able to speak with somebody immediately whenever I called. I was even able to get assistance after hours during an emergency.

Dr. Helen Sempira and her staff treated and cured a very bad root canal infection. The root canal procedure was done by another dentist. It took awhile, but Dr. Helen Sempira and her staff were determined to get the job done, and the job indeed was done. I would recommend anyone to Dr. Helen Sempira. The environment is clean and welcoming, and all the staff are very kind and friendly. The gentle wave treatment they provide is just as painless as advertised, I almost fell asleep in the dentist chair.

Great experience! The staff was warm, welcoming, professional and very kind. I took my 12 year old due to an accident, he was treated well and we both left feeling super impressed. No issues with missing forms, insurance challenges etc. Could not have asked for a better experience!

Dr Sempira and her staff are the bomb. The staff is very informative and attentive, and professional. De Sempira and her assistant was exceptionally awesome. Leslie is very racist. They did not want to prescribe me medication that would help my situation, they charged me even though my insurance covered it and had the police harass me when I called to ask for information. They are very unprofessional and I WILL NEVER recommend anyone I know to go here. They are the worst group of people I have ever had to deal with!!!

Dr. Sempira is phenomenal, and the staff is also incredible and kind. When I came to this practice, I had some extreme anxiety when it came to dental work. They were so peaceful and calm, and Dr. Sempira is so gentle. Believe it or not, I now take naps while getting root canals. (Without medication!) Highly recommend this practice!
