He started his practice in 1982 with a vision and passion for helping people all over Atlanta improve their lives through quality dental care. He took pride in the excellence of dentistry he provided to everyone who walked through our doors.
Dr. Benk was constantly on the cutting edge of dental technology, continuing his training throughout his life so he could offer only the best to the patients of our practice. He not only required this of himself, but of every dentist who worked with him.
As a team, we could always deliver high quality dentistry consistently, no matter which dentist performed the work. Dr. Benk believed you should never let a day go by and not learn something new or help someone do better. Because of that deep-rooted belief, we have constantly improved our services while still maintaining our family environment.
Today, my son Joshua and I continue Dr. Benks vision of our practice. We are achieving this daily with an unwavering dedication to helping Atlanta residents improve their smiles, oral health and well-being. Dr. Robert Schmidt is a graduate of Emory University. Dr. Schmidt earned his dental degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, graduating in 1987. He has now been practicing dentistry in the Atlanta area since 1987.
Dr. Schmidt is one of the first five dentists in the expanded Atlanta area (and one of the first twenty dentists in the entire South Eastern U.S.) to achieve the highest certification level in the Invisalign Technique. He is also an inductee of the American Academy of Gold Foil Operators, an honor bestowed upon only one graduating dentist per year.
Dr. Schmidthas completed advanced hands-on training with Implant Seminars, a live surgery master series program for the study and application of dental implant placement. He has also attained a Fellowship withthe International Dental Implant Association.
He was one of the first dentists in the country to complete the Implant Innovations Synergy training program for state-of-the-art restorations of dental implants. Furthermore, he is the dental consultant for the Hemophilia of Georgia Organization, and he trains dentists to properly administer dental care for their hemophiliac patients.
As a solid contributor to the community, Dr. Schmidt serves as the Executive Director for the Citizens Commission on Human Rights and as the Vice-President for the Narconon Center of Georgia. He is also a strong sponsor of the Drug-Free Marshals program.
While practicing in Atlanta, Dr. Schmidt serves in many leadership roles in the dental arena and in the community. Best known for his early dental disease detection skills and focus on preventive care, Dr. Schmidts patients say his personal commitment to their individual needs is the trait that makes him such a special person and a stellar dentist.

I had an extremely difficult extractions d Dr. Garcia and his assistant handled it with ease. I couldn't believe that this extraction took longer and was more extensive than any other however they had me set up that there was hardly any pain. Hands down the best practice I have ever been to.

ADC is conveniently located in downtown Atlanta. Has a very modern office environment with the latest dental technology. The staff friendly, courteous and highly professional. Also has safe parking available for patients.

From the moment Rosa answered the phone I knew I was dealing with a first class organization. She was super pleasant and extra helpful in securing an an appointment right away as I was having a time sensitive dental issue. She even followed up trying to get me an earlier appointment. When I arrived I was comforted by all the new technology they've incorporated to making their office patient friendly.Dr Shmidt was awesome and thorough and patiently answered all my questions, in addition to resolving my dental issue. I've been to dentists all over the country from off Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills to Miami Beach and hands down this is the best. Looking forward to getting my future dental work done by these courteous super competent professionals .

Service was wonderful it's just the payment was way more than I expected and wanted me to pay that amount on the spot which I'm grateful that I got service. They don't allow billing so I had to set up a plan to make payments every other week so next time I got I'm gonna have to save enough money for my dental services

Wonderful Dental Office! I came to Dr. Schmidt at the start of 2020 with a lot of dental issues. Long story short, I had broken my jaw a few months prior and had a long list of dental needs. Dr. Schmidt and his team are really great at their jobs. I had many different types of cleanings (periodontal and normal) and procedures (crowns, porcelain caps, resin fillings, etc) at this office and was always treated with the utmost respect. If I ever had any issues with my dental work, the Atlanta dental center team was quick to respond and treated me as a priority. On top of their excellent work quality, they are also just a very friendly bunch of people. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Atlanta Dental Center to anyone in the area. I recently had to leave the Atlanta area otherwise I would happily have gone back to this practice for years to come.

For what I paid and value received I was ripped off. The quality, fit and discomfort made them unusable. I went to another provider that did the work to my satisfaction delivering a new quality product that met my expectations.

I have been a patient at Atlanta Dental Center since 2017. I have been a 100% satisfied with the service. I had an emergency case once and I had the care needed right away. I would recommend this place to everyone. Great place, great team!
