Kind. Attentive. Gentle. Experienced! I'm new to town and feel sooo fortunate to have been directed this office. I had a GREAT visit even though I am THAT white knuckle patient! I'm actually looking forward to the follow up treatment plan! #AwesomeStaff

Dr. Risinger was highly recommended for the dental needs of my son. My son needed extensive dental work, though no fault of his own, was born without a few adult teeth. My son was very self conscious about his looks. Dr Risinger and his amazing staff made him feel comfortable and preformed a miracle in two hours. We still have a few things to finish up with, but the difference is between night and day for him. I could not believe how wonderful his first procedure went. He will be completely done in four weeks and I know it is going to be amazing. I have a confident son now which we are so grateful for. We cannot thank Dr Risinger and his staff enough for everything they have done for us. We highly recommend his office for dental needs.

I had a crown and some filling work done here. Great staff, nice office space, and Dr. Risinger explains everything very thorough and even showed me images of my teeth on the screen as he explained what work needed to be done. Everything was as explained to me and there were no surprises. I would recommend to family and friends!

I had an appt this morning and it totally wiped out my fear of dentistry! My dental technician, Lisa, was so patient and kind. And Dr. Risinger is fabulous...very personable, kind and answered all my questions without feeling like he was rushed...very good experience with Athens Advanced Dental!

I had a crown and some filling work done here. Great staff, nice office space, and Dr. Risinger explains everything very thorough and even showed me images of my teeth on the screen as he explained what work needed to be done. Everything was as explained to me and there were no surprises. I would recommend to family and friends!

Late 2017 I came to AAD for tooth pains. Doctor said he saw nothing wrong with the tooth in question, but didn't like a filling that that was done previously by another dentist. TRUE STORY: The doctor numbed the wrong side of my mouth prior to drilling on the other side (blamed my obvious level of pain on the fact that I had a low pain tolerance and therefore needed more numbing agent). Nurse admitted to screwing up my charts. The front desk pretty much told me the doctor waived any fees due to the error. Six months later I get a collections notice. Mid 2019 Filling falls out (the same filling the dentist insisted needed to be redone, yet I had never experienced any pain or discomfort). I am returning to submit this review after a family friend said they were referred to this office. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I hardly ever write a review on anything I do. I just learn what is good from my perspective and what is not. But I feel I should write one for this office. I came into Advanced Dental with a broken tooth. The staff were really nice and helpful for my first visit in getting me setup. I was taken back to a chair within a few minutes and didn't have to wait. X-rays were taken so they could get a better view of not just my broken tooth but all my teeth. The Dentist came in and asked what the visit was for instead of assuming what I needed. The dentist will listen to you and ask questions and then give you recommendations on what you can do. Then you can choose the path that suits your needs. He performed a root canal on my tooth with no pain whatsoever to me. They have different options for procedures for pain you should ask them about it. Overall it was the best experience I have ever had at a dentist. They kinda make you feel like family. I would recommend them to anyone. Great Job Drs. Risinger and Renee y'all are top notch.

Dr. Risinger is the rudest person in town! I've never seen a guy be so rude and be so well known for being a genuinely bad person. Never had any dental work done with him, but i would never take my kids or myself there. For someone to be so arrogant and rude all around athens i'm surprised he's been able to run a business in athens!

Dr. Risinger is Rude & Rough. The tooth he crowned has not fit right this entire Holiday. Going to be looking for a New Dentist to fix this ASAP. Too nervous to go back there. He ripped the corner of my mouth both during the temporary crown. and the permanent crown. The was the second chance I gave him. I'm done.
