Although we prefer to see our patients for a comprehensive examination and x-rays for their initial examination, at Transit Valley Dental Care, we can treat a variety of traumatic dental injuries, including teeth that have been chipped, moved, or knocked out entirely - and usually on the same day as the accident or injury.
Traumatic dental injuries often occur as a result of an accident or sports injury. The majority of these injuries are minor - chipped teeth. Its less common to dislodge your tooth or have it knocked completely out but these injuries are more severe. Treatment depends on the type, location and severity of each injury. Regardless of the extent of the injury, your tooth requires immediate examination by a dentist. Sometimes, your neighboring teeth suffer an additional, unnoticed injury that can only be detected by a thorough dental exam.

Dr. Athans and staff are the best! I have extreme mouth sensitivity, and they are always gentle and checking constantly that I'm okay, Dr Athans takes time with you, and really cares, he provides quality dental work, that lasts. I have crowns that are over 25 years old and still perfect! We are very lucky to have Dr Athans and his whole staff for our dental care.

I was in tough shape with my teeth , afraid to go to have anything done and finally had it when all I could eat was mushy food. John evaluated my issues and we made a plan to correct everything. I am so glad I had him do the work; it's done right, looks wonderful and it's quality materials. You can tell a big difference from not being able to smile to- give me a smile and I'll smile BIG back! It's made my life-Thankyou to the whole office that helped me too! I would highly recommend John big time!

What a great experience at Transit Valley Dental Care yesterday. It had been a while since I was in for a cleaning and check up but Julie, the hygienist thoroughly cleaned my teeth without any discomfort!! Dr. Athans came in and reviewed my x-rays and gave me some advice on techniques to better clean my teeth. He also did a complete exam and used a light to screen for oral cancer. Beautiful modern office with a very professional team that makes you feel comfortable from the minute you walk in. Thank you Dr. Athans and team and see you in 6 months!!

Had my first visit. Dr. John and his staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. They made the normal dread of going to the dentist a thing of the past. I felt comfortable right from.the start. Procedures were explained before and as they occurred. I have found my new dental care team!

Highly recommend Dr.Athans and staff for the very best care. He takes time to ensure that you are comfortable and not in any pain. I recently had my crown replaced, the whole process took 3 hours and went so quickly. Back to normal the next day, no issues at all. The entire staff is friendly and makes your dental appointments a pleasure. Great piece of mind, that my dental care is in such good hands!
