I joined Atchison Family Dentistry in 1984 with Dr. Corrigan, continued with Dr. Van Dyne, and now get to work with Dr. Patel! My role includes assisting him with patient procedures, general maintenance of equipment and inventory control. I love getting to know our patients on a personal level and helping them achieve all their dental goals.
My husband Bob and I have been married for 35 years. We have two grown daughters, Jennifer (Anthony) and Stephanie (Jacob), as well as three grandchildren, Aaden, Addison, and Callie. My hobbies include reading and spending time with my grandchildren.
I graduated with my Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Johnson County Community College in 1987 and joined Atchison Family Dentistry in 1993. We have so much history together here; it is a joy to come to a workplace when I know we will give our patients the best oral care and advice. The transition from Dr. Van Dyne to Dr. Patel in the last few years has been a smooth process and I feel that the staff, in their professional demeanor, has been instrumental.
I began my career in 1994 after earning my Associates degree from Fayetteville Technical College and my Bachelors degree from Minnesota State University - Mankato. Since joining Atchison Family Dentistry in 2007, Ive provided a full scope of dental hygiene services including oral healthcare and education. I really enjoy being a part of this team, their awesome approach to our patients and Dr. Patels approach to oral healthcare.
Ive been married to my husband Michael for more than 30 years; he is a retired Army Officer. We have two grown children and four wonderful grandchildren. I enjoy reading, movies, traveling, and hiking in my free time.
I joined Atchison Family Dentistry in 2019. Before joining the team at Atchison Family Dentistry, I spent ten years working as a department manager at a local business, which I loved. That experience has helped me excel quickly at my current position supporting our team. I am excited to greet our patients, get to know them and make them feel welcomed at our amazing office. I really believe this is a team that is excited to help the members of our community.
I grew up in Atchison and have very deep, strong ties to the community. Atchison is a wonderful place to be because of the great sense of community here. I have two awesome dogs, Bodhi and Polly, and love to share stories about them. I enjoy how our team strives to make the community for which I love a better place.
