Dr. Omar Ata graduated with honors from the University of Illinois-Chicago in 1976 with a Bachelor degree in Biology. He continued on to the University of Illinois College of Dentistry where he graduated in 1981. Dr. Omar Ata remained at the University of Illinois where he taught comprehensive dental care for over three years. Dr. Omar Ata completed a comprehensive orthodontic training program utilizing the straight wire technique from 1987-1989 with Dr. Bob Gerety.
In 1996, Dr. Ata was the first to utilize CAD-CAM technology to mill computerized dental restorations in Central Florida. He has been providing state of the art comprehensive dental care for Osceola County and South Orlando since 1984.
Dr. Joseph A. Ata was raised in the central Florida area where he attended Lake Highland Preparatory school, graduating with honors in 2001. He attended Nova Southeastern University as an undergraduate from 2001-2004, with a major in Biology. He enrolled at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in 2004.
From May 2008 to March 2009 Dr. Joseph Ata provided his services to a free joint venture clinic between Broward County and Nova Southeastern University. The clinic offered free dental care for recipients of the Broward Country Ryan White Grant and BCPP Grant.
Dr. Joseph Ata has taken over 400 hours of continuing education through the Medical College of Georgia on the topic of dental implants. He is an Associate Fellow in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. An associate fellow must undergo rigorous testing to be certified by the board of the AAID. Dr. Joseph Ata is alsoa member of the American Dental Association and the Florida Dental Association.
In 2010, Dr. Jill E. Ata attended a Straight Wire Orthodontic training program, which included 132 hours of continuing education. The program focused on using a combination of functional appliances, mainly in mixed dentition and fixed orthodontic braces in permanent dentition.
Dr. Jill E. Ata is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association and the Central Florida Dental Association. She is also an Associate member of the International Association of Orthodontics. She has been in private practice at Ata Dental Associates since 2009.
Dr. Ireni Mikhailgraduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in May of 2014. Shortly after shebegan hergeneral practice residency at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY and completed the program in June of2015.
During herdental education, sheconstantly challenged herself, striving to broaden herknowledge and perfect herdental skills. Shehasdeveloped proficiency in many fields of dentistry including restorative, fixed and removable prosthetics, rotary endodontics, surgical extractions, basic orthodontics and pediatrics. Shehasthe special skill setsto treat emergency dental and medical situations as well as managing patients with complex medical histories.
Dr. Elizabeth Santiago was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Speaks fluent Spanish and moved to Florida when she was 15 years old. She attained her Bachelors Degree in Health Sciences at Florida International University in 2010 and earned her Doctorate Degree from Howard University, College of Dentistry, in 2017.
Dr. Santiago developed proficiency in restorative dentistry, removable and fixed prosthetics, molar endodontics, routine and surgical extractions, as well as implant placements and implant-crown restorations.
Dr. Santiago is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association and Central Florida Dental Association. She is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Overmeyer was born and raised in Winter Park, Florida where she attended Trinity Preparatory School and graduated Cum Laude in 2006. She, then, attended the University of Florida, where in 2010 she received a Bachelor of Science in biology with minors in Spanish and business administration. There, she went on a dental mission trip to Nicaragua, and that is where she ultimately found her passion for dentistry. Seeing the impact that the profession made in each persons quality of life and happiness was enough for her to realize that she had to make it her life. Dr. Overmeyer, then, graduated from dental school at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 2014.
Dr. Overmeyer has learned many of her skills under the 6 year mentorship of her father, a local retired dentist. She has, also, attended numerous seminars and continuing education courses to help expand her knowledge and training. Dr. Overmeyer has acquired skills to include dental treatment of younger children, surgical skills to include impacted wisdom teeth and dental implants, full orthodontics, and traditional fillings and crowns.

I went to my Dentist and he is charging me a lot of money. He said he can't fix my partial dentures because it's only covered my insurance up to 6 years. I went to ATA & I saw Dr. Jo ATA. He can fix my partial dentures with new t even $200. From now on I'm going back to him. This place is amazing and the whole staff is very friendly and helpful. 5 stars for the service and 5 star for Dr. Jo ATA.

I travel 240 miles from So. FL to see Dr. Ata & his staff. They are all "artists". They are kind, totally dedicated to your comfort & their work. I had to have very extensive work done and I never felt the slightest bit of pain. They have done amazing dental work on me. I'm feel so blessed to have found Dr. Ata's practice and I will never leave him. TEN STARS !!!!!!

Very disappointed. Was there for an extraction. Dr had my chair at an angle so that my head was below my body so that she could sit in her chair and look down my mouth. Dental asst was not attending to suction and doctor pulled crown off and dropped it down my throat. She yelled out suction suction to the asst but too late. I proceeded to sit up and gag and cough for some 5 minutes with no instructions from anyone. I finally cough it up.

My dental visit with Dr ATA is always a pleasant experience. I was there to get my teeth cleaned, and my hygienist did an excellent jog, she is checked to ensure my gums were still healthy. I have going to Dr. ATA for over 12 years, and I continue to be pleased.

Went a couple months ago for my first cleaning with ATA Dental. I saw Robin and she did a fantastic professional job. Explained things to me in detail. Fast forward to yesterday when a piece of the back of my tooth fell off. I go in expecting to need a filling or some kind of repair. Although the doctor could have sold me a bill of goods and I wouldn't have known any better, she told me she didn't think I need more than just a bit of polishing ro remove the rough edges. Thank you!

Today I went to Ata Dental front front receptionist to check out to Xray Tech Sonia to Dental Hygienist Paola to Dr. Milkhail and Dr Josepha Ata Dr Santiago make u feel warm calm and not look down at you no matter ur race ur financial status or ur gender we are all family and here to take care of ur teeth no matter what.. Since 2015 I have been waiting for my employers to provide a dental insurance that is accepted here. I am ecstatic to be back! Until you have been stuck in the corporate dental providers for service, you will never appreciate a family run dental business as much as Ata Dental. The entire staff is welcoming, professional, and caring. The dentists have been the best I have used in the last 25 years! It's so comforting to visit this team 7 years later and the same staff is here! There are new members because the practice has grown, not because they had turnover. The office is beautiful and clean. Any questions asked are thoroughly answered and explained so that you truly understand. If you are searching for a dentist, this is it!
