As a child, Dr. Tristan Hudson loved working with his hands, taking things apart to see how they worked, and had a natural curiosity for the world around him.Since then, he has always been committed to improving himself and being a leader in his field.Throughout his life he has pursued excellence and has taken steps to ensure the best outcomes for himself, his family, and his patients.
Dr. Hudson was born and raised less than 25 miles from his practice, At Ease Dental.He grew up on a family farm west of Maysville, AR, where his family raised cattle, chickens, and hogs.Dr. Hudson graduated valedictorian of Jay High School where he was active in FFA, 4-H, and TSA.He then went on to study chemical engineering at the University of Arkansas, where he was president of his fraternity and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Dr. Hudson then went to work as an engineer and continued his education while working.During his three years as an engineer, Dr. Hudson obtained his Masters in Operations Management as well as an Executive Masters in Business Administration, both from the University of Arkansas.
Realizing he missed working with his hands, Dr. Hudson then attended the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, where his previous experiences as an engineer were a valuable asset that lent him the knowledge and perspective to make lasting dental restorations.While at OU, he was recognized for his outstanding work in oral surgery and clinical research.In fact, Dr. Hudson has been a presenter at several national and international dental continuing educational meetings, where he presented his research in the area of dental materials and orthodontics.
After graduation, Dr. Hudson associated for a geriatric dental organization, providing care to seniors and the disabled in facilities all across Northeast Oklahoma and Southwest Missouri.Dr. Hudson has been an active learner throughout his dental career and has taken continuing education at over 5 times the required level.To stay current on the rapidly changing dental industry, Dr. Hudson is a member of these professional associations:
Currently, Dr. Hudson has taken a special interest in providing care for an aging population, focusing on oral surgery, implants, and sleep dentistry.Dr. Hudson enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, but his favorite part of practice is building lasting relationships with patients.He loves this part especially because those trusting relationships ensure they receive individualized care that meets their needs of having a pain-free, functional smile.
During his first semester of college, Dr. Hudson met his wife, Brittany.Together they have three wonderful children, Hadley (6), Bowen (5), and Laurel (2). Youll notice that you dont see any pictures of Tristan by himself.This was by design, because he believes without the love and support of his family, he wouldnt be the man he is today.When Dr. Hudson isntat the office, he enjoys spending time with his extended family (four out of his five siblings all live in NWA, and his parents live in Bella Vista and Bentonville) playing fetch with their dog, Hammie, snow skiing, swimming and scuba diving in Beaver Lake, and volunteering through their church.
