Dr. Ted grew up in Connecticut and spent many weekends enjoying the outdoors and skiing in Vermont. In 1978, following a four-year football career and graduating with a B.S. degree in Zoology from Ohio University, Dr. Ted went on to the Ohio State University Dental School.
Dr. Ted met his wife Linda, at Ohio University where they were classmates. They were married prior to his final year in dental school. Dr. Ted received his dental degree and was admitted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. In 1981, following graduation, Dr. Ted and Linda moved to Boston, MA, so he could begin a one-year general practice residency at the Tufts New England Medical Center. Following the residency program, he entered the two-year orthodontic residency program at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
In 1984, Dr. Ted and Linda, along with their two-year-old twin daughters, moved to Vermont to join Associates in Orthodontics. They settled in Essex, Vermont and over the years, their family grew to five children. Dr. Ted spent many years coaching youth football and basketball in Essex and served for ten years as president of the Friends of Essex Football booster organization. Much time was spent enjoying their childrens youth, high school, and college athletics. Dr. Ted and Linda continue to enjoy the outdoors, as boating, snowshoeing, gardening, and landscaping are among favorite pastimes.
Professionally, Dr. Ted stays active in the dental community. He is a former president of the Champlain Valley Dental Society and the Vermont Association of Orthodontists. In addition, he is a member of the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Vermont State Dental Society, and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Jeff earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Connecticut where he graduated from the Honors Program with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. Moving across the state, he attended dental school and completed his orthodontic training at the University of Connecticut Health Center, both of which are nationally ranked premier programs. While at dental school, Dr. Jeff completed his coursework in the Masters of Public Health Program, finishing his thesis during the three-year orthodontic residency training.
Upon completion of dental school, he was admitted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society and Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity. Dr. Jeff earned his Certificate in Orthodontics and a Masters degree in Dental Science.
Dr. Jeff returned to Vermont in 2001 to join Associates in Orthodontics. He has published three papers in peer reviewed orthodontic journals based on his Masters degree research in sleep apnea and workforce issues. He is a Diplomate and board-certified orthodontist by the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Jeff is a proud member of the Vermont Association of Orthodontists, the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, the Champlain Valley Dental Society, Vermont State Dental Society, and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Zach earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. While at Wesleyan, Dr. Zach enjoyed an accomplished career as the quarterback of his football team and a defenseman in lacrosse. After college, he attended the University of Connecticut Dental School, receiving his D.M.D. in 2012. This was followed by a combined orthodontic residency and Masters in Dental Science, from which he graduated in 2015.
Throughout his dental and orthodontic education, Dr. Zach completed extensive research and has had his work published in one of the top orthodontic journals. He received many distinctions for his exemplary performance as a student, including awards presented to the dental student that displayed excellence in orthodontics, periodontics, radiology, and community service. He was also admitted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honors Society. During his final year of orthodontic residency, he was voted Chief Resident by his faculty for leadership and performance throughout the program.
Dr. Zach returned to Vermont in July of 2015 to join Associates in Orthodontics He and his wife Jessica welcomed their son Teddy in April 2016. While not at the office working with patients, Dr. Zach, Jessica, and Teddy enjoy all Vermont has to offer, whether its skiing during the winter or spending time on Lake Champlain during the summer.
Dr. Zach is a Diplomate and a board-certified orthodontist by the American Board of Orthodontics. He is the current President of the Vermont Association of Orthodontists. He is also a member of the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, the Champlain Valley Dental Society, Vermont State Dental Society, and the American Dental Association.

My daughter is a few months into having braces and I can't say enough good things about Associates in Orthodontics!! Every member of their staff is caring, understanding, gentle, and patient. They're really great at making kids comfortable with procedures that can seem scary at first. The billing folks are also very easy to work with and helped me understand the financial aspects right from the start. Their office and implements are always impeccably clean, and they run fun contests for patients during the holidays. I highly recommend them for orthodontic care!

I've had my braces off for 6 years and I'm still having issues due to their services. They let someone less experienced (not one of the licensed orthodontists) file my teeth after the removal of my braces. I have been left with sharp edges, and teeth filed too low that are overly sensitive to acidic foods like citrus. See the attached image for one of the points they filed into my teeth. My front teeth have also been left with craze-lines from the brackets of the braces. The actual doctors are great, but they don't do enough of the important stuff.

When I was growing up in this area, my smile was taken care of by Associates in Orthodontics, so when all four of my boys needed help, there was no question where I would take them. The plan of treatment was clearly explained up front, and there were never any surprises in our bills. We were always treated with respect, and all the staff was very friendly. We usually saw Dr. Blasius, who was always interested in what my boys were doing outside of their treatment, and was always cheerful and attentive to our needs. As my boys are all out of their braces now, we don't have appointments as frequently, but we are always remembered when we walk in the door. Thank you so much for my boys smiles!!

Great practice, great Doctors/orthodontists, Dr Zach is a very good Dr. and great with kids. I had the braces done for two of my daughters there and I'm very satisfied with the results. All the staff is very friendly and easy to work with.

Doctors are great, staff is amazing. I love that they have more then one office I can go to. My experience with Invisalign was great and Associates in Orthodontics has given me the best smile! Thanks!!!!

Terrible. The orthodontist recommended an immediate procedure, stating it was urgent. As parents, we wanted more information to understand it. We mentioned this to our child's dentist in chittenden county who, as a courtesy, called the orthodontist asking Associates in Orthodontics to explain it to us differently. The orthodontist responded by refusing to treat the child ever again. Associated in Orthodontics also gave us a hard time when we requested records. When our child finally had an evaluation elsewhere, we were informed the procedure was not urgent and possibly not necessary.

I can't thank the Dr's and staff enough at Associates in Ortho! Not only did I have an amazing experience many years ago but all 3 of my children LOVED going and their smiles after!!! Have to say the Essex Office is our favorite! So warm and friendly. They not only took care of making their smiles bright but kept track of their activities over the years, and have helped them maintain their beautiful smiles!! Thanks Guys!!
