Associates In Dentistry Family Dental Centers began in Canton, Illinois in the early 1970s. Because we offered a wide range of quality services and accepted dental insurance benefits by several major area businesses (i.e. Caterpillar and International Harvester now Navistar, Keystone), our practice quickly grew and added four new locations. This included our Elmwood and Washington offices in 1974, our Bartonville office in 1978, and our central office in Peoria in 1983.
Today, Associates In Dentistry has a total of five Family Dental Centers, 19 fully-equipped dental operatories and 10 hygiene operatories. We are the largest group-owned, non-corporate dental partnership in the Peoria area and have continuously expanded our services to meet patient needs.
Our Family Dental Centers employ over 40 professional and support staff including registered dental hygienists who provide teeth cleanings and other preventative treatment services, trained dental assistants who work chairside with your dentist, and numerous scheduling, billing, accounting, insurance and administrative staff. All account information, scheduling and management reports are supported by Eaglesoft.
Dr. Quintana received his undergraduate education from Illinois State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology. He received his dental education from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry and completed a hospital-based residency at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.
Dr. Quintana is passionate about preventative care, educating patients about their oral health, and access to care. His mission is to provide the best possible care in a safe and efficient manner. Dr. Quintanas clinical interests include cosmetic dentistry, dental extractions, root canals, and dentures. In addition, his training in hospital dentistry allows him to provide safe care to medically compromised patients as well as provide treatment to children and the elderly.

I have been looking for a new dentist for some time now. I am so grateful for a friend's recommendation that I call Associates in Dentistry. They were kind enough to set up an appointment quickly, as I had a slight issue that I felt needed attention. Dr.Thum and his entire staff deserve a 5- star review! Everyone was kind, professional and helpful. Dental visits can be a source of anxiety for me. But I did not experience this with Dr. Thum and his crew. Everyone made me feel completely at ease. Thank all of you for that! I am so happy that I am able to continue my dental health needs and care right here in Canton.

It's been awhile since I've been to the dentist. I'm in a handicap power chair now & the room I was put in wasn't really handicap assessable, but the staff was very patient and accommodating to me anyway. I will be going back for some work I need to have done.

I had my front crown break off at the gum line. Our regular dentist is semi-retired and would not be back for days. A in D got me in that afternoon, and I walked out with a temporary crown (made by a dental assistant who trained at MTI) that looked as good as any real crown. My new crown came in Monday, and it is perfect. No pain. Staff is wonderful. So, I have a new dentist: Dr. Thum! I hope he has no plans to retire soon!!

Dr. Pore is the best! I just had bridges put in for my front upper teeth and it looks fabulous! She is meticulous about fit, bite, matching color of existing teeth and overall looks and comfort. The whole process from extraction to bridges took a little over two months and even the temporary work looked great. I have lived all over and had many dentists in my lifetime. Dr. Pore is by far my favorite!

It's been a while since I seen a dentist, my experience with Dr. Pore and the staff of Associates ln Dentistry we're great. Would definitely encourage anyone who is uneasy of going to the dentist to go there. Staff is funny, attentive and very professional.

My 2 year old had his very first dentist appointment today with Dr. Thum. He was amazing with him! I didn't catch the hygienist's name, but she was so sweet to him as well! They did a great job of making him feel comfortable. Highly recommend!
