Dr. Shih is a Board-Certified Periodontist and a Diplomate of American Board of Periodontology. Originally from Brazil, she attended Marquette University for her residency followed by a three-year residency program in Periodontology at the University Minnesota. Dr. Shih has been practicing the art of periodontics for over a decade. Dr. Shih is proficiently trained in all aspects of periodontics including non-surgical and surgical treatment of periodontal diseases, periodontal bone regeneration and periodontal soft tissue grafting. She also has extensive training in the surgical placement of dental implants, hard tissue grafting including sinus augmentation and soft tissue grafting to enhance esthetics of dental implants.
Dr. Shih is dedicated to delivering the highest quality dental treatment. She believes in prevention first and foremost. She strives to provide her patients with the best treatment options available focusing on what is necessary for their long term oral health.
My practice emphasizes dental health and personal integrity. I do not suggest unnecessary treatment and do not employ unproven or trendy methodologies. I am devoted to preserving and enhancing your oral health by working side by side with your primary dentist. Together we can formulate the most suitable plan and coordinate that treatment to achieve the most favorable outcome.
Dr. Svoboda has been a practicing specialist in Periodontics for over 30 years. He is a graduate of Marquette University School of Dentistry and completed a general practice residency at Woods Veterans Administration Hospital and completed his periodontal residency at the Mayo Clinic.
In addition to providing periodontal care to his patients in both Fond du Lac and Beaver Dam, Dr. Svoboda also maintains a part-time faculty position at Marquette University School of Dentistry in the Department of Surgical Services.
Dr. Austin Dodge is a specialist Periodontist from Marquette University. A green and gold blooded Wisconsinite, he was born in the Fox Valley, and grew up in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Sciences, Doctorate of Dental Surgery, and Masters of Science in Periodontology at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Dr. Dodge was trained on the motto of Cura Personalis (care for the whole person) and always strives to do what is right for his patients. His top priority in patient care is to establish a partnership with his patients in order to work together to achieve their goals and establish exceptional oral health.
Periodontal disease is complex; as such I feel it is essential that each patient completely understand the root cause of their disease and the rationales for treatment. That way we can work together to establish life-long periodontal health.
When not in the office, Dr. Dodge lives in West Bend with his beautiful wife, Amanda. He is dedicated to the betterment of all the communities he is a part of including the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, his church, and the new town he calls home. If he is not in the kitchen cooking up a new dish, Austin enjoys golfing with his twin brother Dr. Ryan Dodge, hunting, fishing, triathlon training, or anything else the beautiful Wisconsin outdoors has to offer.

My Periodontal surgery experiences with Dr. Shih have been extremely positive. Dr. Shih is highly professional, knowledgeable, kind, and caring. She is concerned about putting you at ease through any procedure, explaining what she is about to do and throughout the procedure; and is available to answer questions as needed. Dr. Shih is "Magic" with her professional skills. Thank you very much Dr. Shih for making my experiences A+!! The best care in the region. I've had periodontal issues for a few years and have had (unsatisfactory) work done by two other periodontists in the area (no names). Then I found Dr. Shih, my savior. No issue was too big for her to solve. In fact, the more difficult, the more she was intrigued. Her expertise and professionalism put the others to shame. Her examinations and detailed explanations made clear what was wrong and what was possible to repair. No issue was too delicate or difficult to address; it was a great relief to submit to her skilled hands. In addition, she demands the same professional care and attitude from her dental assistants and her front office personnel, all of whom are friendly and willing to work with/for you. Also, Dr. Shih has three offices (West Bend, Beaver Dam, Fond du Lac) making it even easier to get the best care anywhere. If you have periodontal issues you know you want them, need them, fixed correctly the first time. Dr. Shih is the premier periodontist you need to call. I am so glad she's a member of my health care team.

I can't say enough good about dr shih and her staff. Everyone was gracious and helpful. They went out of their way to fit me in on an urgent basis. They took wonderful compassionate care of me. Everyone was wonderful.

Dr. Shih and all of her staff are awesome! Having periodontal surgery in the past, I was experiencing a great deal of anxiety. Dr. Shih and her staff did a great job of making me feel comfortable. The procedure went better than expected and the follow up care from the staff was exceptional. I highly recommend Progressive Periodontics!!!
