Dr. Lamansky earned his D.D.S. from the University of Iowa. He did his residency at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, MN where he specialized in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Dr. Lamanskycontinues his education by participating in two different study clubs and is a member of the following organizations:

Dr. Lamansky has practiced orthodontics in the area forover 25years and has personally treated over 10,000 patients. Dr. Lamansky met his wife Carol in college. He lives in Wausau with his wife and has two grown daughters, Kaitlyn and Laura. Both Dr. and Mrs. Lamansky are amateur musicians. Carol has taught music in the public schools as well as privately. They are both active in several non-profit charitable organizations. Some of their other interests include theatre, bicycling, hiking, and snow-shoeing. Their family is completed by their dogs Remy and Louie!

I enjoy reading, fishing, and going up north to our 5thwheel trailer and relaxing by a firepit making toasted marshmellows. In the Fall, we love watching football, and in the springtime I like working outside in the flowerbeds.

Hello, my name is Lynn and I have been with Associated Orthodontists since May of 2007 working in the Wausau office. I had 4 years of dental experience before joining the team here. I am now a chair-side assistant working closely with Dr. Lamansky. I also assist with patient education and do most of our lab work, along with taking x-rays, photos, and impressions. The best part of the job is meeting new patients and I enjoy working with them one on one throughout their treatment.

In my spare time, I enjoy riding Harley with my husband and spending time with my family and our pets. I have 2 children (one of each) who make each and every day something new! I also love the outdoors, camping, fishing, and bow and rifle deer hunting. The hunting seasonis great for us, because all the family goes out together for the hunt!

  • Safety and comfort are of the utmost importance in our practice. Our sterilization procedures brings a whole new level of protection to our patients. We deliver the highest standard of sterilization in dentistry.
  • Its more important than ever to brush and floss regularly when you have braces, so the teeth and gums are healthy during orthodontic treatment. Patients who do not keep their teeth clean may require more frequent visits to the dentist for a professional cleaning. Adults who have a history of gum disease should also see a periodontist during orthodontic treatment. Watch the two videos below on the proper care of braces during orthodontic treatment.

What can you eat? Lets talk about what you shouldnt eat! For the first day or so, stick to soft foods. Avoid tough meats, hard breads, and raw vegetables. Before long, youll be able to bite a cucumber again. But youll need to protect your orthodontic appliances when you eat for as long as youre wearing braces.

When you get your braces on, you may feel general soreness in your mouth and teeth may be tender to biting pressures for 3 5 days. Take Tylenol or whatever you normally take for headache or discomfort. The lips, cheeks and tongue may also become irritated for one to two weeks as they toughen and become accustomed to the braces. We will supply wax to put on the braces in irritated areas to lessen discomfort.

To successfully complete orthodontic treatment, the patient must work together with the orthodontist. The teeth and jaws can only move toward their corrected positions if the patient consistently wears the rubber bands or other appliances as prescribed. Lack of cooperation following instructions and damaged appliances lengthen the treatment time so, please follow instructions.

The assistant called me AND my father to TELL us to come in ASAP to MY SCHEDULED appointment due to one canceling before mine. Very unprofessional as we were not even given the option, we were TOLD, but we obviously declined as that's the whole purpose of a scheduling an appointment. Super rude staff that I'll never forget or ever recommend. I always dreaded going to my appointments and never felt so belittled by someone in the dental field. Actually very traumatizing and SO unprofessional. If I could give a 0 I would.

My son has been going here for over a year, maybe almost 2 years for his braces . The dentists his really friendly, and he cares about his patients he has. The front desk ladies are sooooo friendly and polite, and they will actually have conversations about your life outside of the dentists office. I like it when Dr. Offices have polite and respectful front desk workers; it show me the place and the Dr and Nurses and front desk workers care for their patients' needs and health. they take their job to heart and treat everyone equally..This is differently ASSOCIATED ORTHODONTISTS IN WAUSAU WI.. THANKS FOR TAKING CARE OF MY SONS TEETH. WE REALLY APPRECIATE IT.

Amazing! I got my braces on in 2006 and off in 2008. Never had a problem during or after. To this day my teeth are beautiful. He put small permanent retainers in and they've never come out or caused issues either. The staff is so friendly! Best ortho in the entire area!!

Wonderful work from Dr. Lamansky, 5 stars to his supportive staff. They were all very informative, hard when needed to be on our teenage son, and accommodating to our hectic schedules. Our son is diligent in his brushing cares more now, that he looks great, than before. We are pleased with the outcome you have given him. Thank you all!

Nice, friendly, helpful staff. Office runs efficiently. Helpful with insurance questions. Explanation of diagnosis, corrective process was great, illustrated with great photos of the patient. Dr. Lamanski did not seem hurried, and spent time with us. Highly recommend this practice!

This is was our third appoint at Associated. After talking with Debbie (very rude) multiple times.. I took my daughter in for her braces appointment. After going through the waiting period for badger care. Yes, badgercare we then after approval came back 8 weeks later ( I FULLY understand badgercare waiting period is out of Dr's hands.) We then were talked down to at our appointment. Dr. Lemansky was talking about a Mara and that it would cost 450.00 (Again FULLY understand and easily could have paid it. STILL greatful as braces would be about 6500.00) STILL HUGE DISCOUNT. Simply and politely stated the heads up on a potential cost would have been nice to know as we were waiting for the 8 weeks on badgercare. HOWEVER, was then told that "he was the "boss" and felt that we should be greatful as he doesnt get paid nearly enough for badgercare patients. And somedays he wonders why he even does it." At this point I stood up told he we would become a self pay through another very well known Orthodontist (who we were referred to earlier) and always treated us well even knowing our insurance was not accepted and we would be self pay. and he would be reported to Badgercare. I work in healthcare. I understand Badgercare does not pay to the fullest. Therefore, certain providers do not choose to accept it. There is NO mandate that they must in a private practice. However, I refuse to be treated like white trash and watch others be treated with the same unprofessionalism and lack of respect. Especially in front of my daughter who has a SEVERE overbite that is causing her to bite the roof of her mouth. I did not ask for Lupus, or to have to fight my ex-husband who has a very well paying job to carry insurance through his company. I only bring these points up to solidify I am not one of the "charity cases" that sits around smoking pot and popping out kids to "work the system". I find in my line of work many of us are one paycheck away from being one of Dr. Lemansky's "poor paying customers". So the next time I am mandated to work a 16 hour shift to care for a disabled human, or pick up brain matter off the side of the road after being called at 3am at least I can know that my level of care, dignity, and respect is not mandated by a paycheck.
