I recently saw Dr. Ryan Dowling for the removal of my wisdom teeth. All of my questions and concerns were discussed in great detail during my consultation. Dr. Dowling and his staff made me feel very comfortable. I would recommend him to anyone who needs their wisdom teeth taken out! The office was also very clean.

Dr. Dowling is awesome! I was sedated and don't remember anything from my surgery. Talk about taking the anxiety away, it doesn't get better than that! If you need to see an oral surgeon, this is the place to go!!

DO NOT SEE DR DOWLING unless you enjoy being screamed at for crying over pain. i had my wisdom teeth out a week ago and i came in to their office today to check on everything and see if i was healing up properly. i have severe anxiety, and they were informed of this before my wisdom teeth were taken out. Fast forward to today. I am sitting in the chair and he began trying to flush it out for me and i started sobbing in pain, he continued going (which i understand is necessary) but as i yelled from pain he started to scream at me for crying. "QUIT, QUIT, STOP" all because i was crying due to the pain he was causing. he didn't stop and ask if i wanted to continue, he didn't ask if i was okay, he chose to scream at me to stop crying instead. I understand being frustrated when you're trying to help a patient who has severe anxiety, however. if you're a doctor or a dentist you should be trained to deal with difficult patients, or at least be trained not to scream at your patients when they are crying from genuine pain. ive never had a dentist treat me the way he did. im 19 years old and to be treated so poorly is sad. my normal dentist i see would have never spoke to me that way. i would rather have all my teeth rot out of my mouth before i EVER see doctor dowling again.

My daughter saw Dr. Dowling and I am OUTRAGEOUSLY disgusted by how he treated her. She has severe anxiety, and we made it a point to let them know that beforehand. He screamed in her face for crying!! This man does not know how to be gentle with patients or show any compassion and I am extremely disappointed. Very unprofessional

All I will say is the assistant was very kind and made sure I fully understood what to expect. She didn't warn me about the doctor and how little compassion and understanding he shows for his patients. Dr. Dowling made me feel like a waste of his time. It wasn't necessarily what he said but how he said it. Zero stars for him.

I went to see Dr. Hamlin for wisdom teeth extractions and he was excellent! He was energetic, easy to talk with, and help alleviate my anxiety around the procedure. I had no complications with the healing process and I would definitely recommend.

Recently I suffered from a tremendous toothache and after an endodontist determined extraction was the best alternative, I contacted AOIS. I have never been a patient previously and they worked me in the next day. Upon arrival and throughout the entire visit, EVERYONE in this office were great. I traveled to this office from NC and Dr. Dowling graciously worked with me to remove the tooth that day; therefore, it was not necessary to make a return trip. I an assure you that would have never happened at an oral surgeon's office in Asheville. If I need oral surgery ever again, this will be where I go. GREAT experience. Thank you so much.

Dental assistant was very informative and compassionate. Dr Dowling came in and extracted two teeth then left and never came back to ck on me. I feel he needs to have a better bedside manner with his patients. Just my opinion. Rest of staff was very courteous.

An incredibly rude group. If the people at the front are rude and unprofessional, never doubt it is not the entire organization!

My son went for wisdom teeth. His insurance told him that this office was in network. We made the appointment than going to check out they charged him 80.00 because they said they where out of network. They gave him amount that he would have to pay. Treatment plan. They listed a lot of stuff. I called spoke to the lady that takes care of insurance she was rude to my son and me and keep telling us they are not in network. She would not call the insurance to see what the problem was. We where told that they were. They sent the first visit after we where told out of network and he paid. They sent a claim to the insurance and it paid. They was paid fast. So than they would owe my son a refund. She told him that would not refund until after everything went thru. My son paid the amount and had procedure done. The dr. and the nurses was very nice and went over instruction. Got home a few days later my son emailed the lady in billing to see if bill was mailed she told him it had to go to medical insurance first which took them 2 months got the denial. Emailed again to see if she had received it she said she just got it which was 2 weeks later. He asked if he could have a copy of the claim. She told him no that he could not that it had the drs. personal information on it. She was wrong he can and did get a copy of it. After several attempts to get a refund back 3 months later he received his refund after several emails. It was paid in network after she said no several times. This lady was very rude several emails and phone calls. Would not recommend this office because of that personnel experience with the office staff. Makes the drs and nurses look bad.

I would give Dr Hamlin 0 stars if it was possible. HORRIBLE! By far the single RUDEST doctor I've ever met in my life. Told me to go find someone else to remove my wisdom teeth. Uncaring about patients and cruel. Sarcastic and too wirey. Cut me off every time I started a sentence and didn't listen to anything I had to say, let alone take it into consideration. Then acted like I was there for narcotics! All i wanted was a medical opinion on why my jaw was in such pain! Originally said it had nothing to do with wisdom teeth. Then said it "probably did, let's see." unhelpful and RUDE. The absolute worst experience I've ever had in a doctor's office in my life.

Wow! From the moment I approached the registration desk, until my dental procedure was complete, I encountered the most courteous and professional individuals imaginable. Every step of the way, they treated me with utmost respect, explaining in great detail what I could expect from beginning to end. I cannot sing Dr. Michael Hamlin's praises enough --he made a difficult tooth extraction painless, and went out of his way to calm and reassure me throughout the procedure. Mark me down as one thoroughly impressed --and totally satisfied-- patient! --John Bowers, Elizabethton
