General dentists Stuart M. Youmans, DDS; Melissa A. Youmans, DDS; and Benjamin R. Emery, DDS, practice a full scope of implant and general dentistry in Casper, Wyoming, with expertise ranging from dental implants to porcelain veneers, crowns and bridges.
I was raised in Casper, Wyoming, and graduated from Natrona County High School. I gained my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wyoming in Laramie and my D.D.S. from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Training includes a one year general practice residency at the VA hospital in Omaha, Nebraska with special emphasis in oral and maxillofacial surgery and trauma. I moved back to Casper with my wife Melissa in 1998 and we started Aspen Ridge Dental. In 2004, we opened our new state of the art facility where we are able to focus on providing unparalleled oral health care for Central Wyoming.
My special interests of dentistry revolve around implantology and the oral surgery aspects of dentistry. With well over 1,500 dental implants placed and restored, I have become a leader in the community in this discipline and Im one of a very few dentists that not only places, but restores dental implants. Other areas of interest in the field of dentistry for me are the treatment of complex full mouth reconstructions, TMJ disorders and diagnosis, and adult/child handicap hospital-based dentistry. It is with great pride that I have privileges and operate out of the Casper Surgical Center and Wyoming Medical Center on a regular basis on these special needs patients. I take great pride in the extensive continuing education that I complete on a yearly basis to stay current with the ever changing practice of dentistry.
My personal life is fulfilled with love of faith and family. Melissa and I have three beautiful children, two daughters and one son. I have always enjoyed the outdoors with hunting and fishing as well as being an accomplished pilot holding a private and instrument rating. It is my goal to live life to the fullest never taking a single day for granted. It is with this mindset that I so much enjoy my family and my practice equally.
Hi! I was born and raised in Osmond, Nebraska, and graduated from Creighton University. After graduation, I attended Creighton Universitys School of Dentistry. Stuart and I founded Aspen Ridge Dental in 1999. We have been married for 20 years and have three wonderful children: Brooklyn, 12, Kaylee, 10, and Eli, 9.
Love where you live; love what you do. This is the motto by which I live life. I love what I do because every day I get to inspire and help people achieve their optimal health. It just so happens that I practice dentistry.
My wife and I moved to Casper in 2009. We love Wyoming! We love the people, the culture, the open spaces, the seasons and the blue sky. So much so that we wanted our two kids to grow up in Wyoming. I love competing in challenging athletic events such as long distance trail runs, intense mountain biking races as well as multidisciplinary events such as the Casper Strong.
I love helping people reach their optimal health goals. Dentistry is the perfect avenue in which to achieve this. All too often people wait too long to see a dentist due to fear of being judged or due to their perception of hopelessness. What I love most about helping these people is showing them compassion and empathy and giving them options on how to treat their condition. Listening and understanding their needs is the platform on which I operate.
If youre not moving forward, youre moving backward. This is especially true in dentistry, where research supported improvements are constantly emerging. I feel that it is my professional obligation to my patients to provide the best treatment modalities available at that time. This means that I am dedicated to lifelong learning through continuing education. Did you know that the State of Wyoming requires zero (0) hours of education for a dentist to renew his license? Because I believe in lifelong learning, I dedicate at least 80100 hours of education every year.
Doing good in the community is fundamental as a healthcare professional. I am passionately involved with Smiles for Life (a nationwide charity geared towards underprivileged children), Smiles for Kids (a local organization focused on orthodontic care for children), Give Kids a Smile (Community Health Center of Central Wyoming), Health Care for the Homeless, Crown Council organized, dentistry- based humanitarian work in the Dominican Republic, T-19 and Medicaid programs.

Aspen ridge was able to get my husband in, with in 2 hours after another dentist made a hole from his tooth into his sinus, and fix it. They were very kind. I highly recommend them.

I would highly recommend Dr Stuart Youmans and his excellent staff.for any dental procedures.Dr Youmans knowledge and skills exceeded any that I have ever experienced. My regular dentist wanted me to go to WYOMS and have the the Hardy brother oral surgeons remove four teeth that were complicated extractions.Because of a prior disaster involving Dr Jack Hardy and a family member, I would never receive any dental services from WYOMS, nor would I recommend any dental services from them. Dr Youmans offers an exceptional dental alternative for patients seeking excellent safe and competent dental care.

This place has been great. I went there after not going to a dentist for a few years and had a couple of issues. They were prompt with their services and got my mouth back to healthy in no time. My hygienist is amazing and makes every visit very comfortable and is reassuring. I'd highly recommend them to anyone.

Returning to Casper after a 40 yr absence, I had to find a Dentist and figured some of the best information for finding an office would come from previous patient's comments. Aspen Dental was described as a friendly, caring, welcoming office where you were always comfortable and had full knowledge of plans and procedures. I have been a patient there a few times and find the comments not only true and accurate but maybe a little understated. Everyone I've come in contact with are not only serious, motivated and highly professional people, but they are just plain nice people. I would never consider going anywhere else.

I have been to several different dentists throughout the years living in different locations. Aspen Ridge has the best staff and Doctors around. I won't ever go anywhere else. For the first time in a very long time I am not afraid to even have my teeth cleaned. THANK YOU!!!!

Dr. Stuart Youman and the entire office staff are incredible! The first time I had ever been seen by Dr. Youman was as an emergency during outside office hours on a Saturday. He confirmed my situation as being very severe and immediately came up with the plan of action. He worked me into their full schedule just a couple days later and performed an amazing procedure. I will forever be thankful for what he and his staff did for me. They are kind, professional and make you feel at ease, they immediately earned my trust. My family and I now have a new place to go for all our dental needs. I highly recommend Aspen Ridge Dental!!

I just had my wisdom teeth pulled at Aspen Ridge Dental. The staff were kind and happy to answer any questions about the procedure. They did everything in their power to make me comfortable during the surgery, and sent me home with ice packs, medicine, and a homeopathic pain reliever to speed up the healing process and keep me out of pain. Despite working at a difficult angle, as my teeth were coming in horizontally, the experience of the Aspen Ridge team let them extract them with ease. Whether you are looking for a simple cleaning or orthodontic care, I would highly recommend going to Aspen Ridge Dental.

Dr. Emery came highly recommended for orthodontia treatment . When it came time to get my daughter braces, he was our first consult. We shopped around and opted to go with Dr. Emery, even though the office was not in our dental network. He was kind and very thorough when explaining our treatment options. We are extremely pleased with the results and his continued care of her. His staff was always happy to see her and knew her by name. I absolutely recommend his services if you are looking for good quality care.
