Dr. Wyne was born in Washington, D.C. and was raised in Poolesville, Maryland. He finished his undergraduate education at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania with a degree in Chemistry and is a graduate of the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore. Dr. Wyne is a member of the Maryland State Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Vy Tran was born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and was raised in Olney, Maryland. She has an older brother and younger sister. She attended University of Maryland, College Park and subsequently earned her dental degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. After receiving her dental degree, she moved to Boston to work in private practice while her husband received his training at Beth Israel Medical Center.
Dr. Tran has an energetic toddler named Liem. In her free time, she loves to cook and spend time with her large extended family. Dr. Tran is excited to return to her home state to serve the Maryland dental community. She strives to provide compassionate care as well as continually grow as a clinician. She looks forward to getting to know each of her patients on a personal level and is grateful to have you trust her with your smile.
Harry S. Gildenhorn, D.D.S., P.A. is a native Washingtonian. He attended George Washington University as a pre-med student and continued his education, graduating from the University of Maryland Dental School. Dr. Gildenhorn has been located in the Rockville area since 1971.
Dr. Larkin was born in Annapolis, Maryland and raised in Mayo, Maryland. Dr. Larkin graduated from St. Marys College of Maryland in 2006, majoring in Biology. She decided that dentistry was her calling while working as an orthodontic assistant in Annapolis. After graduating from the University of Maryland Dental School in 2011, Dr. Larkin completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and returned to Anne Arundel County to begin practice. She has been a member of the Aspen Hill Smiles team since 2020.

I've been going to this practice for about 10 years. I keep going because I like that they take a more wait-and-see approach, rather than drilling your teeth at the first inkling of trouble. I've also had cavities filled here and it's nearly pain-free. I also like that they take the time to explain what they see and answer any questions that you have in detail.

Doctor Larkin is always great. Patient, thorough and very skilled. I haven't seen Dr. Wyne as many times but he is all of the above. Everyone I've had any dealings with at all at Aspen Hill Smiles has been helpful and professional. The doctors, assistant's, hygienist, front office folks are all great. If you need a good dentist, these folks are the best I've ever known

Dr. Wynes' expertise can only be described as excellent. His personal consideration to the patients needs are from a time in dental practice when service was prime motive in the profession. Like medicine, it is becoming a business, in my informed opinion.

From Joyce Brengle: The only thing that wasn't wonderful during my appointment today (September 2) was that my damaged tooth broke into pieces during the extraction (an unexpected setback). Also, because of my tooth infection, the first part of my visit was filled with multiple injections, required to achieve total desensitization (which necessitated waiting periods between each injection.) This, unfortunately, resulted in appointment delays for Dr. Wyne and other staff members, but there were no signs from anyone of stress or impatience, which enabled my own calmness . However, what WAS wonderful about this visit was that Dr Wyne and his assistant were kind, calm, unrushed, friendly, etc, in spite of the unanticipated challenges.. Dr. Wyne, thankfully, was able to attend to other scheduled patients between injections--such skillful time-juggling! The remaining staff members were, as always, friendly and attentive. This wasn't my first visit to Aspen Hill Smiles. Going there is consistently a pleasant experience.
