New patients beware! I recently had a new patient appointment. My first appointment with them had to be rescheduled the day of, as I was told they were having staffing issues that day. My new patient appointment went well the staff was friendly, and the office was extremely clean and welcoming. I scheduled my cleaning at the new pt visit for 2 weeks out. Unfortunately I would be unable to make that appointment so I called to change my cleaning appointment that was set up two days prior. I was told the next available cleaning was in October of 2023. I am shocked that a practice would be openly accepting new patients when the first available cleaning would be 11 months away. This is extremely misleading to new patients who believe they would be scheduled within a reasonable amount of time. Information such as that should be relayed up front allowing patients to be on the same page as the office.

Please, before doing business here Google and read the US District Court, Northern District of New York, Class Action Complaint...Case 3:12-cv.01565-DNH-ATB filed 18 October 2012. It is 70 pages log, but I have zeroed in on issues relevant to me between March and October of this year, not in order...see the enclosed pictures. I have gone through 50 percent of a procedure, have asked too many questions, and have been dismissed and denied medical care. I have all paperwork to prove my claim. I am not interested in a lawsuit, only making clients and future clients aware of what I have witnessed. Also, I was not offered a bib to cover my clothes, I did not see all together sanitary conditions in the operatory I was placed, including dirty floors and left over used dental items from a previous procedure. My next step is to contact the New York State Department of Health. This is Corporate Dentistry at its best. The Fast Food of Dentistry. I began my journey with Aspen Dental in the Cicero office in March and due to their office staff, incorrect billing which cost them over 600.00, and a non professional attitude from the staff and management, non inclusive of the dentist, I transferred to the Camillus office, which in my opinion was a bigger mistake. Both offices want money and positive surveys. I did not see a lot of cleanliness, professionalism, empathy, people taking ownership of their jobs, healthy fear when challenged or fending questions, nor problem solving techniques. The ads on tv put emphasis on a pleasant and promising experience, I saw none of either. Prices changed quickly and some ADA codes were either incorrect or ignored as though they didn't exist. Pat answer..."Oh, your insurance won't cover this." I have never seen a durable dental item which did not have a ADA code and could not be submitted. Do they make items in the back room which cannot be sent to insurance? I guess Melissa the regional manager would need to answer this question to someone higher than myself. I wasn't aware Aspen Dental sells a line of goods which do not have ADA codes. It appears every time the dentist or tech comes near you there is an ADA code to cover what they do, and I have proof of that abuse on their own billing. Not a pleasant or healing experience. Thank you for the unsigned letter dismissing me as a patient. It was one of the nicer things you did for me. Sent FedEx..impressive.

I would like to thank Rhett Brunden and Amanda who was able to get me an appointment at the Aspen Dental Office in Camillus. I spent three days searching for a dentist and was told not until the end of the month after telling them I was in pain. If you are looking for a dentist I highly recommend Aspen Dental. The staff is friendly and very caring.

9:30 appointment and at 10:15 they finally told me (after I walked up to the desk) that the X-ray was being used and it would be another 15/20 min. No communication at all u til it's way past the appointment. Once the one X-ray was taken, waited another hour to be told sorry, but we are behind and short staffed so you will need to come back another day to fix the tooth. Not good when you have to be at work by a certain time and you were told when you made the appointment that they could get you right in. What should have been an hour appointment has turned into two - three hours. If you come here, don't make plans as you will end here for awhile. *edit - office manager is aware

Haven't even step foot and i'm already disappointed. Patiently waited the month I needed for this appointment just to have the time changed without any prior notice leaving me confused over the phone. Unprofessional.

Unfortunately the website patient forms did not make it to Aspen location. The Receptionist needs to work on her people skills. The technicians were friendly and kind. I liked the Dr. Personality.

Had a pretty decent experience. The dentist was a little apprehensive when my daughter went from the pediatric dentist to her first appointment is an adult dentist. (Her pediatric dentist was over 3 hours away and the only pediatric dentist in the state covered by my insurance. She just aged out of the practice.) She was a bit nervous, but the experience made her at ease. She was actually the active party who wanted to get on the ball with her dental health. Gotta love kids! As for me, It had also been quite a while since I've had a regular dentist. I was moving around a lot for work. Finally, I decided to go here as it was recommended by my insurance. They got me back on the right track after going to the dentist irregularly for almost 11 years, Other than a cleaning here or there. Decent experience over all.

Back in November my wife took my daughter there. She set up a care plan and our out of pocket was to be 140.00 when I took her in to the do the work they charged me 133.00. I said I'm sure my wife paid this already. They said you have to pay it or no work. So I did. Then they pulled me aside and said u need to authorize the work today. Sign here. I did and then they handed me another care plan. I'm like this isn't right we already did this. I went home and sure enough my wife paid and so did I. It has been 5 months and no refund and no communication. They admitted the mistake but refused to refund the over payment. They kept giving me excuses and will not follow through. Very poor customer service. I am still expecting them to refund the 133.00 and now at this point any credit not used for the cancelled visits too because we will not be doing business there again. By the way I have the paperwork I expect a refund.

Everyone was so kind and did a good job regarding everything. My dentist, Dr.Kirk Finlay, did an extraction; very professional and painless! I asked for him to do my next extraction next week too

I'm not one to make my complaints public. But i have Been given the run around through almost 4 people and a wrong email to try to contact a higher up manager to try to get a refund. I was Seen twice at the Camillus location and both times my work was no where near exceptional. I felt It was rushed and very unprofessional. Along with uncomfortable conversations being held in front of me as a new client at this location. The first time i tried to call, i wasnt Given a name but they were sweet and gave me a manager complaint number. They were also very kind. I was Told a manager named " Kasey" would call me. Instead i got A manger named "missy" who was close to awful with my customer experience. My work is uneven, sharp, exposing in areas where it should not be and I am In excruciating pain to the point i can not Eat solids and my teeth are very sensitive in the 3 spots they did work. I had No pain in any area prior the work i had Done here as aspen . I'm very upset because now easy work is going to turn into more work that needs to be and now also fixed because the lack of integrity and work they have done in my mouth. If the manager Amanda contacts me that will be 4 people to try to get A Hold of for any answer on the refund i am asking for because of the terrible work that was done to me. Upset i have To try to be heard this way for a problem to be fixed that they caused. I would NOT recommend this location personally EDIT/UPDATE: 4/2/22 I am losing 1 of the teeth they worked on. And got an infection from it. Will probably lose another tooth/get a root canal canal.(which they said i am more than likely going to lose the tooth) They didn't remove the entire cavity out of ANY the teeth they worked on. (3 teeth) So they have to be redone. I have seen 2 separate dentist and an oral surgeon to confirm this. Honestly i am thinking about suing. I have insurance but the time Off and PTO i will have to use because of their mistakes is heart breaking. It's unnecessary i have to use my personal time i worked hard for, to fix their horrific dental work. Please please DO NOT!!!!!! go to any aspen :(
