Today I had the most pleasant visit to the dentist. This practice is unlike any other dental practice I have ever been a patient of. Their professionalism and friendly staff is truly outstanding!

Everyone was friendly and courteous. Was pleased with the schedule that was set up for me. Sherri at the front desk was very helpful with insurance info. Dr.Morey very informative with the plan and my needs. Caitlyn, the hygienist, was gentle and the cleaning treatment was pain free.

When I spoke with Aspen Dental by phone, I really thought it was too good to be true. The associate was very kind and empathic - but maybe she was just trained to act that way? I drove right down to Aspen Dental / Hudson Valley Dental Associates to check them out in person. Everyone there was really, really nice, and the office manager was very generous with her time and sympathy. Spooky. Are they all just well trained? I took a chance and made an appointment for a free initial exam, making it clear that I did not want to be presented with a crazy list of expensive work. At the appointment, I was apprehensive, but everyone worked to set me at ease. True, I had more x-rays than Superman's Christmas gifts, but all that imaging allows you to see exactly what they're talking about. Everyone on staff was completely transparent (was it the x-rays?), up-front, and had incredible patience. It was Mr. Roger's neighborhood, only with sharp implements. Sometimes when something seems too good to be true, it turns out to actually be true, at least at Hudson Valley Dental. The recommended work was exactly what I expected from my dental history, and it was presented with no pressure. I love these people.

The dentist and her assistant had wonderful, reassuring, supportive personalities. I am deathly afraid of dental procedures, due to a past procedure with a dental surgeon. They made my visit today an excellent experience taking away my fear, fixing my issue in a timely manner, and gave me hope for further dental work that needs to be done. Rutland Aspen Dental deserves 5 stars from their receptionist to billing to the Dental Hygienists and the Doctor (Dr. Morey)

All of the staff was nice. I was treated respectfully and didn't feel judged like at previous dentists in the past. Unfortunately, they couldn't do anything there to fix my jaw pain, and didn't have a lot of suggestions on how to allieviate it or what my next step should be.

Everyone I dealt with at Aspen Dental was truly wonderful at helping me as a new patient. Tara, Caitlin, Sherri and Laryssa all helped me in their own areas. I am so glad I found my new "dental home". I would recommend them to anyone. Sincerely, Nancy Pierce

I am blown away by the compassion I was shown today at Aspen. I needed an emergency visit and couldn't get into my normal dentist. They got me in within 2 hours of me calling. I was treated with compassion and dignity the entire time. Dr Morey and everyone else there was so kind. Dr Morey was so gentle. This is the only time in my entire life that a novocaine needle didn't hurt. Again blown away by my entire experience today. Definitely recommend Aspen especially for someone with anxiety about dentists

Aspen dental isn't really a dentist, but rather a corporatized dental practice which specializes in locking it's patients into debt and leading to complaints of its patients being overcharged or given unnecessary treatments. Their staff have been trained in high-pressure sales tactics. Yes, they accept most dental insurance but if the patient is still short on cash, they will sign you up for a 'no-interest' credit card of which they profit from. Yes, they do offer free exams, but they're just another sales tactic to scare and pressure you into unnecessary treatments, thus maximizing they're revenue. Their Dentist and Sales Representatives are usually given a quota each quarter and face repercussions and even termination if it isn't meant. I visited Aspen in February for a broken tooth. I was, like all patients, provided a free exam. They took X-rays and a dentist sat down and looked over my teeth. I told that I had several cavities and that my broken tooth would have to extracted and replaced with an implant. The dentist then sent me to see there patient service representative who gave me an invoice for approximately $7,000 after insurance. From there they sat me down and went over all possible finance options, including they're no interest credit card. At no point was I given a the opportunity to speak then dentist and throughly discuss treatment. The representative kept trying to pressure me into applying for the credit card and putting a down payment down right then and there. At this point I saw nothing but red flags. I advised that I'd like to get a second opinion as I was unsure about the cost and the recommend treatment. I was told I could, but they stressed the importance of booking as soon as possible as special finance offers wouldn't last and that new patients were booking regularly. I know now that this was just another sales tactic. Even after telling the rep I wanted to think it over, they still guilted me into booking a deep cleaning for $330. In their defense it was more than likely needed as I hadn't been to a dentist in sometime. I had since located another dentist with a private practice. She advised that I only had two cavities and that my broken tooth could be treated with a root canal and crown. She also confided in me that my the deep cleaning I received from their hygienist wasn't that good and that I still had stains and calculus in between my teeth. She back this evidence up with photos of my teeth she had taken during my preliminary exam. I was flabbergasted that Aspen had not only lied about the severity of my teeth but recommend an extraction and implant that I not only didn't need, but couldn't afford. Upon doing my own research, I discovered others who had fallen for bogus treatment recommendations that not only lead to sever debt, but medical complications with they're teeth and mouth. Investigative reporting from Frontline-PBS and ProPublica support the narrative that Aspen is nothing more than a for profit business that puts the dollar before the patient. I plead with the community of Rutland to no longer seek dental care from Aspen. They have no place in our community until they change their for profit culture.

I have never NOT had a good experience at Aspen Dental. Dr. Morey is incredible, the reception staff are all incredible, the hygienists are incredible. Every time I come in, I always feel warmly welcomed, and it brightens my day. Not many dental clients look forward to dental appointments, but I genuinely get excited because I know that the whole team is going to take care of me
