I made an appointment at Aspen Dental on Electric Road at Tanglewood, Roanoke, VA. and told them the procedure I needed. The appointment was about 2 weeks in the future, and I was emailed paper work, and listed the desired procedure at several places on the paperwork. Upon arrival, and was taken into the procedure room on time. I noted on a wall placard that only one dentist was listed. The attendant escorted me to the x-ray room, and she casually asked what I was having done today. I told her, and she stood silent for a moment, and then said the dentist who does that procedure left. She implied that the departure was recent, when I asked why I had not been informed. She gave me a written referral to another area dentist at my request, and I noted it was not to another Aspen practice, as there is one at Valley View and one in Vinton. After leaving, I called the Aspen Valley View location and left a message, which has not been returned as of 2 days. I chose the Aspen practice because they were the only one I could find who would accept both my dental insurance and Medicare Advantage dental coverage. Needless to say, I'm frustrated.

I live in Roanoke but was able to get an appointment for a check up and cleaning in Christiansburg. They then shut that down to just a check up only telling me this half way through the appointment with me in the chair. Completely unprofessional, but apparently it was extenuating circumstances. My biggest reason for my one star review is because when you call the Tanglewood or Valley View office they do not answer the phone and do not return my phone calls. They also do not accept online appointments at either location. I had thought as an existing customer that would change. No communication. No appointments. I liked my first experience with them because it was nice and clean and friendly. They helped my son through his first checkup in a great way. According to the website I now have to travel 2 hours to be seen. How is it worth my time to stay with this company when they don't want my business or anyone else's for that matter. At least ANSWER THE PHONE. 2 months of daily calls and nothing. No one should have to call the national number to get seen locally. Ridiculous.

Beyond unprofessional. Waited nearly 8 months for an appt. And the day before my appt. they call and cancel it because they didn't have any dentists working at the Valley View location. They call and reschedule, the soonest available appt. Is another 3 1/2 months away. They wait til the day before this appt. and leave a message that they are cancelling again even though I confirmed over the phone and online, even completing paperwork. I have been in pain forever waiting to be seen by these people. Lesson learned. Gonna call a real dentist I guess. Do not go here if you value your time and require a modicum of respect. I will make it my job to let everyone know about this place. I hope this place goes out of business as soon as possible.

The staff is wonderful to work with. The only small negative is you can never reach them by phone. And when you leave a message you don't receive a return call.

Aspen Dental has been the most pleasant dental visit that I've ever experienced. The staff is great. And they get me in on time and out quickly. Kudos to them at Tanglewood

I would have given 5 stars if my appointment wasn't automatically cancelled the initial visit because I didn't answer the phone when they confirmed the appointment, nor did they leave a message.

I have had a rollercoaster ride of a relationship with this company. It started off great, then went completely in the toilet, and now it's back to being great again. I was honestly not surprised when the location at Valley View shut down. The staff at Tanglewood are curteous and professional. I haven't had to wait long for scheduled appointments, and so far, they have worked with me and my busy schedule to make sure all my needs are met. They also perform their procedures correctly. Thank you Aspen Dental @ Tanglewood for renewing my faith in your company. I hope your level of quality of service continues and doesn't go the way of your predecessor.

This place is a total nightmare. We started with them due to insurance that covered our dental. After waiting 6 months for an appointment to get a cleaning, had to be subjected to x-rays that were painful and not covered by insurance and no cleaning. They try to get you to pay before you get any work done. Finally had the first cleaning and my husband and I both had fillings. Had to pay even though they said it was covered by insurance. We went back for a second cleaning. I got mine done and they let my husband sit there for another half hour and said he didn't have an appointment. I had made these 6 months before and responded to several emails to confirm. So we rescheduled him for yesterday. Again responded to confirmation email. He sat in the waiting room for 10 minutes after signing in and they said they canceled his appointment. Said they left a voice-mail. It is an hour one way to this office, they left a message 20 min before the appointment. It has been more aggravation than it is worth. Don't waste your time!!!!!

Absolutely Ridiculous!!!! Scheduled a appointment 6 months ago. 2 days before my appointment they call and cancel. So we reschedule mind you the next appointment is 3 months out. I was not pleased but scheduled anyways. So here it is Friday before my appointment and they called and canceled again. And guess what next appointment available is not until October. I will be taking my money and business somewhere else since they can not seem to get me in their office.

I was a patient , prepaid my plan , and was bounced around from Tanglewood to Valley View for 4 months only receiving 1 extraction and half a dental cleaning. They kept calling me to reschedule pushing my work to 5 months even after I canceled my services. I do not recommend Aspen . They are the most unorganized operation I have ever dealt with. Giving 1 star only because it's the only way to post a comment.

An absolute disaster! I went here and got a filling that came out less than 10 hours later and when I called they said they would do it again without charging me but that they couldn't do it anytime soon because their dentist wasn't with the company anymore! That was 4 months ago and now they will not return my phone calls or schedule another appointment for me! Don't even waste your time!

Find someone else! They will take your money and then schedule you months out only then to cancel and never reschedule with you. And when you call to try and reschedule they are never there and never respond to messages left. TOTAL NIGHTMARE!!! Paying a $2,000 bill and still have ANY work to be done MONTHS later!!!

Wife's been here 2 times since December and they are Lifesavers. Been very good to us and we really appreciate it. Will definitely go back to them. I was sent this as soon as we left Aspen. I'm not gonna change my 5 stars, but they didn't call wifes pain medicine in. Still GRATEFUL though that took the time to help her.
