After not being able to get into the Aspen Dental in Onalaska today I made the 47 minute drive to Winona because I broke my tooth today! They got me in and everyone from the front desk, assistant, and dentist were great and I'm so grateful they were able to put a temporary filling on so I didn't have to walk around with a hole in my front tooth. Have my procedure scheduled next week and don't mind driving extra for professional and friendly care!

The dentist was very personable and made me super comfortable. They weren't pushy just trying to refer me out like other offices have recently. Thanks Aspen Dental I'll be back Tuesday.

The people who work here want over and beyond to help me today. I had to travel 2 and 1/2 hours to get here, the understood and did 3 appointments at once for me today.y next appointment they scheduled me in to get both appointments done in one day!!! I can't explain how wonderful they really are

WARNIING READ FINE PRINT! Initially my experience was great. I got new beautiful dentures. They've been hurting me the past few months. When I started this process we forked out a decent amount of money. I financed $2500 with an interest free loan for I believe 18 months. In the busy time with everyday life, covid and high prices and paying other bills, sometimes you forget things...like your interest free loan time is up. No warning, no email. And bam here comes that interest. I was down to $700 and now it's $1700. It's such a hardship. I know we all should pay attention, but all my other loans have given a heads up. This one tiny fine print you need a magnifier to read it. So disappointing! So if your financing please pay attention to FINE PRINT!

My appointment was scheduled for 11am, and the doctor was out getting coffee. I sat and waited for 25 minute's waiting for him to get back. That made me mad... You (the doctor) know you have a patent at 11, but still leave to go get coffee... The assistant even called to tell him his patent was there and waiting and he took his time.... Rediculous...

One of the worst dental experiences I've ever had. This is the first time I've ever been anxious doing any dental work. If you're thinking about going to Aspen, go somewhere else. The staff I had did not explain any of the procedures they did, it felt rushed, and was very rough. I've never had a dental experience like this and from reading other reviews they are not likely to change. I had a routine cavity filling and was rushed to sign a consent form. When I asked to read the consent form, they said yes but continued to do prep work and asked me questions not giving me time to read/understand what I was signing. The dentist put numbing gel on my gum and kept working. A few minutes later, he told me not to swallow the gel. It should have been stated first as I did not know. I learned after the fact that swallowing the numbing gel makes part of your throat numb. Which is a uncomfortable experience. However, this is something the dentist should have communicated. I was then injected with the local anesthetics and was expecting the dentist to wait for the anesthetic to take effect but he did not. He started removing the cavity right away, which hurt. I let them know that it felt extremely sensitive and cold. To which he responded, "you shouldn't be able to feel that." I agree, I shouldn't have been able to feel it. He gave me a second injection of the anesthetic. With the second injection, my heart rate went up due to the epinephrine and I didn't feel well. When he tried to start removing the filling, I had to ask them to wait until my body was relaxed and my heart rate was normal. In my previous dental office, when I had a filling, they would give the anesthetic time to take effect. I thought this was common practice but it is not at Aspen. When the filling was completed, the dentist said, "Good job, not so bad right?" and walked out. The dentist and the dental assistance did not go over after care. If I had not recently had a cavity filling at my old office, I would not know what after care should be like. Also, if you are a new patient, like I was, they will not tell you until the end of the appointment that they do not have a dental hygienist on staff. Currently, they have a dental hygienist coming from the Eau Claire branch on Thursday's. My cleaning was scheduled out three months from my original appointment. If I had known they didn't have a dental hygienist in the office, I would not have made an appointment here.

Every appointment I had at aspen the dentist always was distracted. I had to have cavities filled. Not even weeks later they are falling out. The dentist is the only one there. Stopping in between steps to go check on someone or to do other dental work. Staff is very unprofessional. Taking about there personal life in front of while I was in their chair. I am currently trying to find a different dentist to fix my teeth. Since they insured me having poor enamel wasn't a issue. I've changed my diet and brush my teeth 3+ a day to keep my cavities away. But I need my ones fixed since aspen fixed them so horribly. If I could give 0 stars I would...

Sharing this review from an anonymous account because I don't want them to risk seeing my name and then thinking negatively of me as this is not going to be a good review as I am a current patient there. It's almost like a factory that they have there. They try and jam as many appointments as possible. I came in for two teeth fillings and I asked how long the appointment would be. They said an hour. I was in the chair for over an hour and a half. At one point the dentist stepped out and I was sitting alone for 10 minutes without any communication as to why. Would have been nice to atleast know what's going on. If you're going to tell someone an hour then make it an hour, I had places to be and was late due to their incompetence. There was also an assortment of people coming in and out asking questions at one point another patients name was mentioned pretty sure that's a hippa violation but I don't know nor do I care, it's just recklessness. I'm not sure where the previous office manager went, he was a delight to work with and enjoyed every interaction with him. I don't mind coming here but the professionalism is persuading me to go elsewhere I hope this is addressed.

Aspen dental in Onalaska is not somewhere I will ever go again. They are pricey compared to many other dentists in the area and never seem to have consistent staffing. They are always going through changes with their staff which leads to issues with making appointments. They require a down payment to make an appointment to have teeth pulled. They wanted me to pay for getting a cavity filled 9 months in advance. Since my last visit there, my fiance had gone there to have teeth pulled and cavities filled. He used insurance and we were given a quote in which we had to pay a down payment, we did. He got everything done, then received an additional bill. At first it was 500, they made a mistake in billing the insurance and were trying to put it on him. Then it became 30, we weren't going to pay because it was a surprise bill.. and it came weeks after his last appointment. Then the last bill we got from them was for 24.70 and they have sent it to collections. They sent a 24.70 bill to collections for a surprise bill. The one thing I will say is that the staff is generally friendly and you will get your teeth fixed. But beware that they practice surprise billing here and will send you to collections for measly amounts.

I had to get two teeth extracted and My dentist told me I was gonna feel only pressure and if I did feel pain to let her know and when it came to the first one I felt all the pain and no pressure and when I told her that I felt it she told me that if that hurt then I should try child birth she also told me that she has been a dentist for 12 years so I thought that was unprofessional of a veteran dentist

Very professional and quick service. After my local dropped the ball with figuring out a treatment plan I switched to Aspen per a friend's suggestion. Very happy.
