Aspen Dental in Nokomis, Fl is the BIGGEST scam I have ever seen. Ridiculous X-rays only to tell you that you need some ridiculous treatment that, of course, your insurance won't cover. It's a racket and I intend to file a complaint with my insurance company and the state of FL. It's a factory that needs to be SHUT DOWN!

They were friendly and the office is clean. They explained what I needed and layed out the payments and what was covered by insurance. Great experience. Highly recommend.

Our insurance referred us here. I had an issue that is serious to me. They took me in and the staff from front desk to dentist was courteous, honest and gentle! I am very happy to have them to rectify my issues. This all came after a major hurricane and thank goodness they were up and functioning! Thank you Kari for being patient and quick with me! Also Aaron the office mgr for laying out two plan of actions that were affordable!!

Ive been going to Nokomis Aspen since July 2022 with nothing but professional and compassionate care from the front desk, to Aaron the office manager to Dr Leon and her assistants, always kept me informed and as calm as I could be considering Im a big baby and terrified! Super group of people to work with! Thank you for your care and compassion!

Our impression of Aspen Dental at this location was so negative we will never try another Aspen Dental, although my husband had been to another location (that referred us to this one due to insurance changes.) The rude and uncooperative girl at the front desk refused to answer our questions and wanted to charge my husband $140 for a service he did not want or need and that our insurance would cover in full - and yet she refused to confirm that BEFORE we got into the dental chair and wanted to charge him before the appointment and before he had his questions answered by the dentist. We figured once we're in there it's too late and we're at their mercy. We don't need a big mess to unravel with the insurance company over this office and their overzealous desire and rude office girl. They were insisting on a service my husband did not want. Don't we have dental patient's rights to go for just a normal tooth cleaning and refuse alot of expensive unnecessary other dental work? The rude girl at the front was clearly incapable of her job, called me a name, refused to answer my questions, and handed me my insurance card back - and we were SO RELIEVED to get out of there we ran!!! The waiting room was overbooked with people who had been waiting an hour and that wasn't a good sign either. The dentist might be good but we'll happily never know. It's stressful enough to go to the dentist but who needs one with a rude gatekeeper? This Aspen Dental Office is bad news.

my first visit was scary the assistant in training almost gave me x-rays without the protective vest and left the plastic cover on the piece that they place in your mouth to bite down on not sure if I'm going back .

Professional and prompt. My only complaint is that they don't have stickers to give you after (you get a sticker when you vote, why not at the dentist?)

Dr. Leon and her hygenist were great. It was my 1st time having a filling at Aspen and they were attentive to my needs,they were happy Dr leon did an excellant job with the novacaine and i felt nothing

The staff is very friendly and makes you feel at ease with every step of the process. Dr. Leon was very informative and explained everything in an easy to understand way. Aaron, the office manager, was so helpful with explanations and getting me set up with a payment plan to have everything done that I need. Will definitely recommend this office to friends and family.

This place is a scam. Twice now I have left a dental cleaning that is suppose to be covered by my insurance with a bill. They state its because I got a fluoride treatment that isn't covered for $50 and then $18 a quadrant to "check the depth of my gum pockets". I said I never authorized additional work to be done on me to the girl at the desk to which her response was that I can always elect to not have the procedures done. I asked "how am I suppose to elect to not have a procedure done that I did not even know you were doing in the first place." She just shrugged at me and told me I owed them $139. It was an actual dentist who did the procedure and she was so rough and quick with everything. She must have slipped and apologized at least 10 times. I only started using Aspen Dental after my company switched insurance companies to one that my previous dentist did not take. I never had issues with my last dentist, either billing wise or the comfortable care I got. I will never return to this place.

The Yelp reviews almost steered me away, But my toothache told me to go, Receptionist was new and learning, I only waited about 10 minutes when the dental assistant( the only one there). Came out and got me, She was awesome, we talked, she kept me calm, The back molar had to be pulled, the dentist was cool and collected, The tooth was stubborn! But she drilled the rest out. I left feeling pretty good, In an emergency situation I'd go back for sure.

They never call you back. They never correctly submit your insurance. Low staff in office. UPDATE!!!!!. 3-14-2022, My wife had a appointment today at 3 pm. She arrived and seen her friend Nance who had a 2 PM appointment and was told they were under staffed today and to wait till 3 pm. They never call her to inform her although they said they did try. BS... They said my wife's appointment was for 1pm and they tryed to call her which is not true and they never tryed again or followed up with a text. The girl working there with tattoos that claimed to be a asset manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. Can I give 0 stars.

As someone who normally likes going to the dentist, I really wanted to like this office. My first visit and cleaning was fine but it was all downhill from there. They did not call to notify me that the dentist was out sick, so I took time off of work and drove all the way there just to have to reschedule. I understand things happen, but they really should at least call ahead of time. They also overcharged me by nearly $200, and then proceeded to call me by the wrong name twice when calling me back for treatment. They did refund the overcharge, but only after I had to reach out to the office manager again as I was told by the front desk staff that "sometimes he just forgets." I also had to go back since a tooth directly next to one they filled chipped less than a week later, likely because they made a mistake with the filling as I've never had that happen before. They claimed it was due to being an old filling and that on the original X-rays it showed some decay. If this is true, why didn't they say something about it during the initial consultation? I also requested a copy of the x-rays and was told it would take 2-3 business days, it has now been 2 weeks and they still have not sent them. Either way, I would definitely not recommend this office to anyone.

This location was very clean and professional. My time at the office was a little longer than I would have liked, however, I was treated with courtesy and knowledge as to what services would be provided today and at future visits.
