My wife had appointment and was there over two hours for initial visit and they still couldn't get her cleaning done . Poor management and scheduling

So here's my story! I have a major gap between my two front teeth that started after having my daughter. I also had a wiggle wisdom tooth. I went to aspen to get an opinion on what to do about my front teeth as well as get the wisdom pulled. The dentist came in.. stuck her fingers in my mouth and started rattling off code to the assistant. After one minute of that (with absolutely NO bedside manner) she shows me the screen and every tooth with an ex was to be pulled. I started to cry like the cartoon tears kind of distress where the tears are shooting out of my eyes. I have ZERO CAVITIES. the only wiggle issue tooth was my wisdom. SHE TOLD ME I NEEDED 14 TEETH PULLED AND TWO PARTIALS. I go to check out and they quote me about $9,000.00 I decide to go to two other dentists for a 2nd and 3rd opinion. Both have told me I don't need ANY teeth pulled aside from the wiggly wisdom which I have since had pulled. The dentist I went with has don't the cleaning, charts, x-rays, etc. And I now have invisalign to fix the gap. Confirmed with new dentist that I still have ZERO CAVITIES (I've never even had a filling, cap, etc. I'm just not prone to cavities the dentist said) So my story turned out positive as I went somewhere else. But my disappointment and complete heartache for those of you experiencing the nightmare that is ASPEN I pray for you and my heart goes out to you. Not only are teeth a vanity and confidence booster they also need to be functional and healthy and not cause pain. The ASPEN dentists do not care. The ASPEN business plan is obviously to pull teeth and make money off dentures and partials. Welp.affordable dentures does that and for the most part they do it well!!!

About 6 weeks ago I had a tooth break off and it was causing extreme pain off and on. I hate going to the dentist so I suffered for about 2 weeks and finally looked up emergency dentists in my area and found Aspen. I called them and explained my situation and was given an appointment for 2 weeks later. I went in and they did 500 x-rays and I was "consulted" with the dentist and of course they tried to get me to "save" the tooth but I told her I just wanted it pulled. They finally agreed and then said it would be several more weeks before they could see me to do that. WTH, that's what I made an appt for! They were seeing me as a new patient and I didn't ask for that. The dentist then told me all the dental work I needed and then gave me phone numbers of some other places to call to see if they could see me sooner. Before I left I then had to see the financial people to give me a rundown of how much everything was going to cost to the tune of over $4000! All I wanted was a tooth pulled that was causing severe pain! I called several places and it was the same, mid September to October before I could be seen. So I called Aspen back and left a message asking them to go ahead and schedule the extraction and NEVER heard back from them. I finally found a dentist and am going today. I will not be going back to Aspen.

45 minute wait after showing up on time for an appointment is all I have to say. If you know you're understaffed then communicate that to your clients. Seemed very unorganized. I like Aspen, but this location is not one I'll try again.

I was set to get 5 teeth pull and get some dentures so I had a couple of appointments to do before then the first one it took two hours to get x-rays and talk to someone about getting it done .The second one they tried to charge me 130 dollars and they told me my insurance was going to cover everything that I don't have to pay out of pocket. When I went to the back to get a web bite done for the denture she ask me if she can reschedule me because she getting ready to go to lunch , I went right to the manager and she had to do the work because the nurse didn't want to.Next appointment get five tooth pull the dentist was pull on my teeth, I felt everything she said I was going to feel pressure, but another guy there last year pulled a tooth and didn't even know he was done ,and she seem to have a hard time doing it to ,they were goog teeth and when they was sewing up my gums the nurse cut my lip ,they are the worse dentist I ever went to. They told me to keep my denture in all day afterwards and it went not stop bleeding and hurting so I took it out ,I call them and tosd them but they said I'm will feel pain ,but I had teeth pull by other dentist never felt pain like this . I'm going to finish my appointment with them to get my last denture ,but next year when I do my bottom because it cost 3500 to do the top I will not be going back and I recommend no one ever goes to them ,I already told a lot of people I know that needed work done .

They scheduled my wisdom teeth appointment and set it up without me agreeing. I also was not told prior to the procedure that I was not allowed to have nail polish or acrylics, as well as it being mandatory to have my person taking care of me in the facility at all times. They moved up my schedule an hour and then was frustrated with me when I was trying to figure out my payment information. The surgeons were extremely kind and made the situation better, but i was kept out of the loop for most of the procedure. I was also not given instructions on how to clean and take care of my removed wisdom teeth.

I honestly cannot say enough negative things about this office! They have been absolutely awful to work with, have wasted my time and theirs, and have charged the wrong insurance for my last visit (Feb 2022) and despite telling them multiple times that they did so, have not made the corrections. I visited multiple times and none of those times did they clean my teeth, but rather told me they could not due to other random things. They told me I had three cavities that needed treated immediately and a possible root canal that may need to happen. I went to a different office to get a second opinion and none of those things were true and that office was able to treat and clean my teeth immediately. Aspen rarely answers the phone and does not give calls back wen they say they will and I am now stuck with a bill, that has been sold to a collection agency, that I should not have and have tried to remedy. I know without a doubt that my current insurance covers what they are charging me. I highly recommend using another office in town whenever possible.

I cannot comment on the dentist themself as we've yet been able to get in to see the dentist. The waiting list is long but my other half finally got an appointment a few months out from setting it up. A couple weeks beforehand, they contacted to follow up about the appointment. He tried numerous times to contact them back, left multiple messages, and never had anyone return the call back to him. When checking the appointment, through an email received, he then found out that it was canceled. No contact still has been received from this office. A complaint will be filed with insurance about the poor service that this facility offers. We'll go elsewhere!

Well made an appointment about a month ago, and now just a few days before my first visit I get a text saying they need to reschedule my appointment. NOT IMPRESSED! Then talked to a friend of mine, he told me his son-in-law had a 4 o'clock appointment and went and the door was locked, he saw someone in there and knocked on the door, they came to door and said they was closed,made no sense why they scheduled him appointment then! So my wife and I will go somewhere else

This place does not offer emergency dental services, although every web site I've tried directs you to them. They lure you in only to tell you you have to make an appointment and your first appointment is only a consult the next visit you can handle your emergency. Wasted 4 hours today so far trying to find a dentist to remove the broken tooth thats sticking out of the top of my gum it punctured only to be give a number or link to this place. Please kindly remove any mention of emergency service to save people a waste of precious time.

It take awhile to get everything done. Be patient cause it's worth the wait. The staff are so nice and pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend Aspen Dental in Lynchburg Va
