In the last 5 years, I've had them keep a handful of appointments and had nothing but problems trying to reschedule at thier request. Unprofessional at best. Beyond irritating. I edit to a 3 because the staff are very decent, and it's not thier fault for the main issue I've had.

Everyone there does a good job but I recently had a situation that made me upset, i was schedule 9/21 at 8 am for an appointment and was notified only when I got there that it was canceled. I missed a call from them and so they call my contact list which was my mother. They gave her the message that I needed a crown and that they needed a confirmation from me to move on with the process and so my mom told them she'll have me call them back for the confirmation since I am the patient. I called back the same day and there was no answer called back a couple times the week before my appointment and left a voice mail for them to call me back at my number and there was no call back. Due to the fact that they didn't get a verbal confirmation from me my appointment was canceled. My schedule is pack due to school and work so I try to be open whenever they have openings but since I wasn't notified that my appointment was canceled I felt like my time was wasted. I hope moving forward we have better communication with each other.

Made an appt over the phone. Drove out to Germantown. Office is closed. Who does that?

Aspen Dental as well as Forward Dental are one in the same. I scheduled an emergency appointment at Aspen Dental for horrible tooth pain. After two hours of x-rays and fancy 3D tooth imaging, they could do nothing for me until I booked an appointment with their hygienist (who was out). I was extremely dissatisfied and disappointed that Aspen Dental is more focused on their upselling of services than taking care of the patients needs. Shame on you Aspen Dental, you are an embarrassment to the Dental world. Aspen Dental, don't waste your time with your copy and paste reply of: call the Customer Service Team, so they can address these concerns. It continues to show Aspen Dentals lack of bedside manner and care for actual patients when they reply is the same to all bad reviews ( which there is a lot of)

I went in for a new patient appointment. Did not receive a cleaning. Getting X-rays taken was very uncomfortable. After the exam I was quoted on work that needed to be done. When I tried to schedule a follow up appointment I was told I would need to pay my portion up front. After expressing my concern about paying before services were rendered I was told that because other patients scheduled appointments and missed them I could not pay on the day of my appointment. It is unacceptable for me, a new patient, to be penalized for old or current patients missing appointments. Most doctor, dentist, and medical offices charge a fee for missed appointments- which makes more sense. Needless to say I chose another dentist.

I never cared to go to the dentist office prior to going to the Aspen office located in Germantown on Appleton avenue. Dr. Brown and her staff members Tanesha, Unique and the rest of the staff not only professionals but were some of the most wonderful caring kind-hearted people that I have ever met they took care of all my dental needs as well as answered all my questions that I had. Unique was extremely helpful with getting me the financial assistance I needed to get my dental treatment. They not only helped with putting a smile back in my mouth but put warmth back in my heart and I will continue to go back to them for all my dental car

I didn't like the way they told me about a bump they found on the roof of my mouth. No bedside manner, just scared me.

Cracked a tooth on the Friday before Memorial Day. Called Aspen to see if I could get an emergency appointment. Was able to get an appointment for the following Tuesday, which was fine I was not in any pain. The dentist rattled off a list of procedures I needed to get completed and in what order. He only addressed my cracked tooth when I brought it up. Then we went to the office to discuss payment. First question I was asked is how I wanted to pay for my over $3000 list of procedures I was floored I only came in to get my cracked tooth fixed. After I told them all I wanted was the tooth to be fixed. I paid for the crown prep/crown and thought I was getting a temporary crown then coming back in a couple of weeks for the permanent one. Not what happened, the dentist just filled the large hole in my tooth. He told me the hole was too deep and I may need a root canal before the permanent crown. He told me he wanted to wait a month and see how I was doing. I scheduled my appointment for the crown prep for the end of June. I went into work after the appointment and received a call later in the day saying that I need a hygiene treatment before I could get the crown prep done. I asked what is a hygiene treatment is? Was it just a cleaning because my insurance covers two cleanings a year. The person on the phone could not tell me the difference between a cleaning and what their hygiene treatment was. Only thing she told me was that I need to pay over $350 for the treatment before I can get my crown. I was giving Aspen a chance up until this point. Why was I not told about this hygiene treatment when I was scheduling the crown prep? After all this I cancelled my appointment with Aspen and will wait for my regular dentist to have an opening. I felt like I was being taken advantage of, especially after being called back and was told I need to pay more money before I could get my tooth repaired.

Dr Onela extracted my tooth with no difficulty, relatively pain free until the anesthetic wore off. I would recommend him without reservation.

Dentist thoroughly explained what's going on, what needs to be done and why. All the employees were friendly and concerned about my well-being. Non judgmental. I highly recommend

The dentist is great! The assistant(s) are great! And the Cinderella, I guess you can call her finance, was excellent and explained all the options

Had some major dental work done late last year at this location. The dentists for the most part did an excellent job. However there are major issues with my multiple visits. First I had two crowns installed that were delayed multiple times, well over a month. Sometimes I would show up that day to have the crowns installed only to be told they had not arrived due to issues sending in the scans. Sometimes they would call an hour before my appointment to tell me there was a delay. Handled poorly there, but I gave them the benefit of doubt on it. After all my work was completed I was stopped on my way out and told I was going to need to pay an additional $400 in charges, even though previously all bills had been paid. Was told they didn't calculate how much my portion would be compared to my insurance, now after all work was done and I was literally walking out the door I'm hit with a charge for more money. No call to warn me ahead of time, no attempts made to prepare me for it, just a sudden addition of $400 to my bill. Now nearly a month and a half after all work is completed I have been sent another bill with another nearly $400 in charges. Again no calls, now I'm stuck with a second bill, adding up to almost $800 total I'm having to pay after I was told no more payments would need to be made. No explanation on the bill, no call warning me or to explain what it is. Fully insured, but I guess it didn't matter too much. Stay far far away unless you want to be billed hundreds of extra dollars after you are told multiple times you have paid in full and that there will be no further billing to you.

I was told to be in the office 15 minutes before my appt at 1:30pm and I was not called in to see anyone until 1:45. They did have a meeting. but I think waiting 30 mins was along time. Once I was called into see office manager and dentist everything was great. I understood everything and I am willing to go ahead with what they suggested. Also I made this appt online like what was suggested but later last night I got a call confirming my appt and she could not find me on the schedule. I am thinking if I hadn't taken that call would I not have an appt.

Natalie at the front desk was absolutely amazing. I was on so much pain and had virtually no money and she went above and beyond to try and help me get some relief. Edit: Again natalie was great but they let me go without any pain meds and when I asked about getting some just for a few days bc of the tooth being pulled they said no bc they want to pull more teeth. I will not be back

Cancelled on me once before the pandemic started due to no dental hygienist on area. This would've been fine, however, yhey cancelled on me the day of the appointment after I had taken off for work. Now if I cancelled on them the day of, I'm sure I still would've been billed for their time. Had another appointment a few months down the line during the pandemic and they cancelled the day of my appointment again (this time due to poor scheduling) after I had called and asked if I was still good to go earlier that week. Needless to say I'll go somewhere else that actually values my time.

Hi first i want to say that I'm happy with my new smile and I'm working on it feeling as good as Aspen dental has me looking and the dentist is great ( note ) he likes saabs also the old ones but he did great working with me and so far so good now that the swelling has come down and I had a baked potato I feel much better but I have to say one or two things that needed a little help on with some of the staff the first day I was there a man came in for his appointment and from listening to the hostess at the front desk she brought up his money and I guess he had already made a payment what she had to let him know that she was doing him a favor by letting him come in for his appointment I didn't like that. And just one more thing please tell your customers your name if you want them to be happy with your service. I did like how clean they keep the office and they do work as a team and I hate to say it this way but the very nice black girl did make me feel comfortable with the office for me to give them my business . One more thing. I'm on tic tac and I saw all this about new ways of doing implants and I wish I could have been informed a little bit more about that but overall I gave them four out of five stars for a job well done thank you Aspen Dental
