One star. Wouldn't recommend. As nice as the staff is, any time my interaction with a place ends in the Emergency Room, I just cant recommend. I've got to go back to get a permanent crown put on, and see why this tooth that didnt hurt prior to the procedure, now hurts. Pleasant staff, absolutely, but... my visit ended up in the Emergency Room. The etching used to prep your enamel for a filling is 40% acid. That acid eats away soft tissue, that's why the instructions on the etching say to remove with high volume suction. It apparently sat on my soft pallet and burned away tissue. I was numbed up so I didn't feel it at first, just a really sour taste. Once the numbing started to wear off, the pain gradually increased. When i asked the dentist about it, she claimed the hemoatagent had sat back there causing the burning and that it would go away quickly. Did she lie, or was she just incompetent? Hemostatic agents react to blood not saliva, and shouldnt have done anything to my throat. The instructions on the etching tell you to go to the ER in case of an exposure, so that's where I ended up. Unfortunately, there's not much to be done about oral chemical burns but to rinse the area and apply a topical anesthetic, so for a week and 2 days I gargled with cloroseptic 4 or 5 time a day. The damage caused my uvula to swell, that started to interfere with swallowing quite a bit, not enough to prevent swallowing but imagine having a finger in your throat while trying to swallow. On the up side it only hurt a little to talk, but I couldn't eat anything with any sort of texture because it felt like swallowing a hot dog wrapped in sandpaper.

I had my dentures made there and I've had nothing but problems with the bottom one. I get raw spots on my gum and it causes me problems when I try to eat.So my advice to anyone reading DO NOT go here! Unless you want to have the same problem that I'm having.

The doctor and the office manager are very nice, but the black lady is a bit rude, also she numbed the wrong side. I was supposed to numb my top gum but she numbed my lower gum and the back of my tongue, and for a moment I felt like my tongue was blocking my throat and I couldn't breathe...she is horrible and shouldn't work there, the doctor needs a better assistant. And, they don't floss and polish your teeth for deep cleaning, I don't know if this is normal.

Update: Customer service is huge. Mistakes happen and my issue is a rare one, but one to be aware of. The staff has been courteous and the management has been understanding. I was contacted by Aspen Dental who has offered to make ammends, so I wanted to update this. Adding 3 stars solely based on the post op service from the company. Original: one star. Very nice group of professional people. Very clean place. I have no complaints at all. Was told to expect an hour and that is exactly how long it took start to finish! Really appreciate that from a doctor appointment.

Half of the staff was really nice, the other half was really rude, and it seems they adaopted that from the dentist herself. She was super rude to her assistants right in from of me, and rude to me aswell. Super uncomfortable and even an embarrassing visit. The dentist also didn't listen to anything I said, or had concerns about. I'll never come here again.

I was absolutely delighted with my experience at Aspen. Particularly with Brittany, who was terrific to work with. I'll definitely be doing all my dental work with them in the future. Highly recommended!

First visit went well! Made an appointment to have a tooth extracted and was told after I filled out all of my personal info for a payment plan that I pay half and then the next week the other half would come out of my bank account. I gave them my social and ALL of my bank info. They called me the same day as my appointment asking me to come in early bc it was the surgeons last day but was told at my first appointment he would be there through the month of may. Then when I had to reschedule bc I couldn't come in early they told me no bc they'd have to refer me somewhere bc it was the surgeon's last day, then they proceeded to tell me they didn't know what I was talking about when I wanted to make sure about my payment plan THEY helped me come up with! Very unprofessional and if you actually care about your teeth I wouldn't recommend. It's a paycheck and they could care less if you are comfortable at all.

BEWARE! DO NOT GO HERE! This place said they were in network and accepted my insurance. I went for a yearly exam, cleaning and had a few cavities filled. I paid the bill they quoted me on the first appointment after they ran my insurance. Two weeks later, I get another $135 bill in the mail, then another $150 bill a few weeks later for services they LIED TO ME about that my insurance covered. I keep calling and NOBODY WILL RETURN MY CALLS!

I called to ask if they take my insurance, and, all the woman wanted to do was talk loudly over me. And would not answer if they even dealt with my dental insurance company. She was only interested in my making an appointment to be seen to determine what was needed. Why would I do that if I don't even know if they take my insurance? It was a simple question, Do you take WellCare by Allwell from Medicare. Is that so difficult?

Terrible service !!I want my money back !! The assistant on the phone is rude she just cut me OFF the phone when I was claiming for my mother's denture! They think they do a good job , but they are so far to do that!! The technicians don't know what they are doing ,the last adjustment they do to my mother's denture was horrible! First my mom can't eat with those denture, neither soft food and when she try to speak it looks like whistle second: it caused her sores and painful , third it looks like a horse denture even I payed for the best material apart the insurance covered the most cost!!! And fourth: they think because we speak Spanish and my mother is an old lady she have to accept anything they do and they are wrong!!! The last time one of the technicians polish very bad the denture trying to "adjustments " and now that denture looks like transparent horrible!!! What kind of services they are offering in this location of Aspen Dental 1100 Sunbury rd. Terrible service I don't recommend this place for any seniors denture!! And I want my money back ASAP they can not force anybody to take a piece of denture like is better for a horse and not for an old lady who only want to eat properly with no pain!!!! I hope if Aspen Dental is reading this review solve my problem in the next Days! I need my money back!!!

Customer service experience here was great, but afterwards became a nightmare. I signed up for financing to get my wisdom teeth removed - the financial company was incredibly predatory and charged undisclosed "fees" every month that was equal to the monthly payment -- I had to pay twice the monthly payment I was told I would pay or else I would have never paid off any of the principle. They also charged me for an X-ray fee even though I never received an X-ray here. They then tripled the price and sent that "debt" to an aggressive collections agency that hit my credit report. Just altogether a predatory system.

Honestly I'm really upset with my experience with Aspen dental. Went in as a new patient for wisdom tooth pain. Immediately they were trying to tell me that I needed branched for cosmetic reasons and were being really rude about me not have having braces as a child. Like sorry my parents didn't have $3000 lying around for cosmetic dentistry. Going into this appointment I knew from previous work that I only had 3 wisdom teeth in total and only one was causing any actual pain. They did do an X-ray with a dirty looking bitewing covered in black " stuff", they only wiped down the bite plated with an alcohol pad. Before I could say anything they shoved it into my mouth. Afterwards they never showed me my x rays and even clicked away from them as soon as I turned around to look at them. They then tried to tell me that I needed all 4 wisdom teeth removed and that the bottom one were crooked. They quoted me over $1000 with my insurance to have all 4 teeth removed and refused to run my secondary insurance. It was also a pain to give them my primary insurance, even thought I had filled out everything online and emailed them my insurance info as requested. They acted like I was the dumbest person ever for not having a physical insurance card with me, I have never had dental insurance send out a card and no one I have asked has a card either, so I'm not sure what the attitude was about. Luckily I went and got a second opinion. The other dentist confirmed that I only had 3 wisdom teeth and removed them in office the next day. None of my wisdom there were crooked but they were pushing my second morals pretty bad, cause my pain. I was only billed $200 as they ran my secondary insurance and they were upfront with me about the cost if my secondary insurance wouldn't cover the work, which was only $830. Overall, I feel like they tried to scam me big time and I am genuinely concerned for other patients, mostly older adults, that I saw in office. At best these people are incompetent with less than desirable manners, and at worse they are scamming people in pain that don't know how to or can't advocate for themselves. I definitely would not recommend anyone go to this location and I am skeptical of other ASPEN locations.

waited for 45 minutes to get a quote on partial dentures. they took about 30 x-rays and then the dentist started talking about my other teeth. I ask if she understood why I was there and what i came in for. She said that she did but she was the doctor and would decide what we talked about. I walked out and will never return. Doctors need to start look at people as customers instead of patients

The little dentist lady can be very hard to understand at times but out of all the dentist I've been too in the last few years, this one has been the best.
