If i could rate a zero I would. I will never do business with Aspen dental again. I went in for my yearly check up. As a new patient. I knew they were going to take x-rays and do the general cleaning. Which is covered by my insurance. However after getting the x-rays, checking my gums, checking my bite, and checking for cavities I did not receive a cleaning. I was told that I had gingervitus and they would schedule a follow up appointment for a deep cleaning. Which I agreed to due to not receiving my cleaning. Then I checked out. I had to pay $380 for the visit. I agreed to the oral cancer screening which cost $30. I paid $23 deductible. The other services should have been covered. I was told that I was charged a fee to hold the next appointment. When I questioned the fee to hold the next appointment I was told it was because a lot of people canceled their follow up appointment. I completely missed the fact that I had paid in advance for services I did not receive. I know my fault. The lady who was finalizing my bill is an extremely fast talker. She did not answer a direct question. Instead she gave a lengthy explanation. Which I found to be very overwhelming and confusing. So confusing that I didn't know which questions to ask. I didn't know to ask for a detailed billing before I left. I then called my insurance company who confirmed the Dentist is in network. They confirmed that as a new patient everything should have been covered. They stated I should not have been charged for the next visit or a fee to hold that appointment. Today I canceled my appointment. I asked for a detailed explanation of the bill to be sent to me. I was told that it will be submitted to my insurance company. I was told that she had to get confirmation to refund the $380 credit , minus deductible and cancer screening, which is on my account. So now I wait. At first I thought they were very thorough. Hindsight they overcharge. They are confusing so you don't know what you are being charged for. And they shouldn't charge for services you haven't received. I do not recommend Aspen Dental.

I'm not quite done with my treatment (dentures) and hoping things improve. One thing that concerns me is a lack of information. I have immediate dentures now, so I'm going in periodically for adjustments before getting my permament dentures. After the last time with soft reline they actually fit worse. Basically, there are things I haven't been able to eat since the last adjustment that I could the day before. I went in a week after and was told they could't do a thing about it. I would think another reline would be an option since that's exactly what they will be doing on my next visit. I wasn't even told what I can or cannot do with them. Or anything printed I could refer to later. I've not even gotten a reciept. So far, everything has been word of mouth. Now here's what really concerns me. I wasn't given an option on the dentures I would actually get. In fact, I wasn't even AWARE there was an option until after I went in for my immediate dentures. When I asked about that they explained I was getting the highest quality dentures they offer, and was perfectly fine when they brought up with 7 year warranty. Especially after being told the warranty would cover things such as being dropped or other accidents. Again, I've not been given paperwork. So now I find out the warranty only covers issues arising from a flaw in workmanship. Which oddly worded on the website. "Oops happen. So can denture breaks, cracks, and fractures..." That leads me to believe an "oops" on my part is covered. Companies don't typical point out there is a very real possibility their work is going to be subpar. Would a flaw in workmanship even go 7 years unnoticed. There's more likely to be an issue from normal wear and tear......which isn't covered. According to the website anyway. I've not seen an actual copy of the warranty. Regardless, what I, and the person that was with me, were told was dropping them is covered and doesn't seem to be the case. As I said, I've not gotten my permanent dutures yet and I'm hoping my experience gets better. But to be completely honest, if I hadn't paid in full I'd probably be going somewhere else. There are a LOT of red flags telling me I'll have issues in the future. Well.......CONTINUING to have issues in the future. So far, I've not been able to get a receipt, been given little information about what I've already had done or any instructions (verbal OR in writing), it appears I was told what the warrany covers it does not and the fit of the immediate dentures is WORSE after adjustment. It was getting more confortable which allowed me eat a wider variety of foods, many of which are now impossible to eat. I seriously doubt it, but if that's typical, or even a possibilty, I should already know that. It would be a part of all that information I've not gotten. I really try to give people and businesses the benefit of the doubt. And it takes a LOT for me to complain, let alone take the time to write a review. In sitations like this I check the paperwork first to make sure I have a legitimate complaint. Again, no paperwork. So as usual, I start searching for answers online. Needless to say, I didn't find any useful information. However, I DID find other reviews, as well as other information that didn't ease my mind one bit. In fact, I found WAY more than enough ligitimate information to be even MORE concerned. EDIT: Michelle, will do. I also have an upcoming appointment. I'm a bit strapped for time that's not scheduled. On top of this, I'm dealing with my mothers chemo appointments.

I had a appointment scheduled six months in advance. I showed up for my appointment and they overbooked appointments and couldn't fit me in. Thanks for wasting my time and for wasting a vacation day.

Please note: This should be a zero star review. I went to Aspen Dental to setup a cleaning. I have Invisalign which makes my teeth sore sometimes. The girl in charge of doing my X-Rays came to get me and as we were walking towards the room where I would have them done, she just seemed like she wasn't very friendly. She literally opened the door and didn't say anything after that, kind of rude. Moving onto the X-Rays themselves: She was very rough and getting them done hurt the roof of my mouth and under my tongue. I have consistent neck and jaw pain so holding the mouthpiece for the x-rays was kind of painful. Once I was finished with those, I was moved to a different room. I was examined by the lady who did my x-rays and by an actual dental tech I believe. During the exam with the tech she performed what they called a "gum test". Which the lady called out numbers 1-5 repetitively. I've never had this test done before, and the apparent end result was somehow she said I have "a little gingivitis but no plaque". As I've mentioned already in this review, I have Invisalign and I take care of my teeth and trays non stop! From the time I wake up, till the time I go to sleep. Not to mention this "gum test" she did was basically, pushing on my gums with a metal dental hook that is used to scrape teeth with. She also stabbed my gums and because I bled that's how she determined I have gum disease??? If anyone is reading this, DO NOT GO HERE. I wanted a cleaning because I'm due for one, and because I have "gum disease" they want me to get special treatment for that before I can receive a cleaning. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that the patients decision on what kind of care they want esp. when they're paying out of pocket after insurance? It looks like previous reviewers have also had the same experience, what a shocker!!!!

The visit was just fine. I have two broken teeth. Both of which I just want pulled. I am in pain. I missed a day of work, which cost me roughly $300, to have teeth pulled. I was told over the phone they would take care of it. After a 2 1/2 visit at the office, I leave with nothing done other then things told to me that I all ready knew. I came to have teeth pulled. I did not come to have information given to me for the next steps. Let me say again, I'm in pain. I scheduled the appointment a week ago. Waiting that long in pain to have the teeth gone. Now I have to wait longer to find an actual dentist to take care of it. Or I wait until the earliest visit I can get with Aspen which was 12/27. That is 2 1/2 weeks away. Are you kidding me. The window says walk ins and emergency cases welcome. That is false. Just because I was no hysterical in the office doesn't mean I was okay. I stayed calm and I show little emotion. Having said that, I was in extreme pain which still exist. Aspen dental gives me a quote for $4800 worth of work but send me right away with broken teeth. The staff is good. No complaint with knowledge or ability. I do have a problem with a visit that was totally useless and actually cost me hundreds of dollars for absolutely nothing. I would recommend this place for nothing other then a cleaning. Broken teeth and in pain, I'm told to just take Tylenol and ibuprofen for pain. I don't have a little boo-boo on my finger, I have broken teeth with pain pumping from them. I hope all the doctors are resting well tonight bc I'll be up constantly brushing my teeth and trying anything to rid myself of the pain.

My husband and I both started going to Aspen a few months ago, and our experiences have been great! From the ease of scheduling online, to the friendliness, professionalism, and compassion of all staff, to the efficiency and quality of the care they provide. Best dental experiences for both of us!

The staff was nice but I wouldn't recommend this place unless you have really good insurance or deep pockets and don't care about the wasted money from hidden cost. They offered me an unnecessary procedure and would not do any of the critical procedures until I did the unnecessary one.
