Gave me detailed information to make a informed decision on my dental plan and what would work for me long term.

This is one of the worst low country bait and switch dentists that I've ever encountered. Someone's mouth must have exploded in the bathroom the night before and nobody cleaned it up. I was the first patient and when I went into the bathroom, it looked like someone was beat up with brass knuckles. There was blood everywhere. Then, even though my great insurance covered my cleaning, Aspen dental told me that I needed a special super duper cleaning that wasn't covered and I had to pay out of pocket. They then presented me with a dental plan for my mouth that cost upwards of three grand and none of it was covered by my insurance. I have great insurance that covers all of my dental and this place is an absolute joke. The dentist barely speaks to you and then hands you off to some specialist who tries to get you financing so you can pay 25% interest. Screw these people and don't go there. They're well known for their bait and switch.

Dr. Busbee, the general dentist, failed to follow the written treatment plan, even after I questioned the deviation from the plan. His actions forced a 3 month delay in my ability to proceed with the implant orocess with the oral surgeon because of inflammation from his improper care. My reason for proceeding with Aspen was to facilitate the process...now I am months behind.

From the greeting as I came in the door, through the entire process, to the farewell as I left, the staff was friendly and professional. As a "dentaphobe", I have always been far more than uncomfortable on visits, but this experience was worry free.

From the time I got in the door until I left these ladies at Aspen Dental in Bluffton were amazing the environment made me feel like I was at a friend's house, it was calm and relaxing. Dr Busbee was gentle and very informative about the care I was about to get. The Hygienist was funny. Courtney the assistant if you go there ask for her you will laugh your whole visit.

I had an appointment at 10:30 AM. I arrive 10 minutes early as requested by Aspen Dental. I was in the office and had waited and watched different people being called back. I asked the receptionist if she could check on my appointment and she said she would. Ten minutes later, after she makes two external calls, she turns around and ask someone about my appointment. The receptionist disappears and it's 11:15 AM and I have to flag down a hygienist to check on my appointment. Then someone comes out and tells me that my hygienist had a family emergency and they were just made aware of it. I don't have a problem with not being able to have my appointment due to the family emergency but I do have a problem with the lack of communication in their office. I had taken my lunchtime to go over and have my teeth cleaned which is less than an hour and I ended up spending almost two hours in the office. They did apologize for the inconvenience which I did appreciate and they rescheduled me for another day because I was not able to be worked in. But again the lack of communication and leaving me sitting there and the receptionist not saying that it was an issue that I was sitting there for so long was a problem.

I went to Aspen Dental for the first time on 8/12/22. Numerous ex rays were taken and the dentist did an exam. The dentist reviewed the x-rays and completed the exam. He found no issues. I was surprised and very pleased. With no insurance, the x-rays and exam were free. Go to Aspen dental in Bluffton. They treat you right.

*****So, I'm editing my previous review.. I had issues with my gum area and was under the impression that I had a piece of tooth left in the extraction site. I went back to be seen again and was informed that the x-rays didn't show any pieces of tooth or bone left in the area. I mean, I'm no dentist so, I understand that I was wrong, but I really didn't appreciate the way the doctor spoke to me. He was extremely condescending. He did send an antibiotic prescription in for me to help speed up the healing process. After this second experience, I've changed my mind and I don't think I'll be returning to this office again in the future. I went in with a broken tooth and not having been to the dentist in a couple years. I didn't expect to actually have the tooth pulled, I assumed I would have to be examined first and then, come back for the extraction, but they had a cancelation and were nice enough to offer to go ahead and remove the tooth while I was there. They also worked with me on my bill, letting me pay part of the total the day I was there, and the other part when I got paid again. I'll definitely be back!

Unfortunately, I have periodontal work that needs to get done BUT these ladies made my appointment actually pleasurable! Im new to SC & everyone was so friendly! They dealt with my insurance & let me know exactly how much $$ was covered & how much wasnt, they set up my next 2 appts & told me how long they would be & exactly what to expect. So, there will be NO surprises! Absolutely NO complaints from me! Very organized, very professional & extremely friendly office

The greatest experience I've had with a dentist! She was sooooooooo amazing. I went in very nervous for a tooth extraction and she made sure I felt very comfortable and knew what was going on as she was doing it. She was also very attentive during the pain test after the numbing and numbed it some more to the point where I felt absolutely nothing. Barely even any pressure.

Broke a tooth and called Aspen. They got me in and filed down the sharp edges so I can be pain free while I wait to have a crown put in. Nice people, excellent service.

Update on my bridgework, previous post described my extremely dissatisfied treatment. Returned to have second permanent put in but when assistant tried to pry off old bridge I experienced sharp pain in my good tooth, I told her it hurt , she stopped and got head assistant to partially cut it off and remove, after second permanent bridge was put in I said it was really bothering me and was told it would take a week or so to calm down. This is after three temporary bridges, two of which where defective and two additional bridges, one in which assistant ordered wrong color. After a week my good front tooth was hurting still so I returned to office concerned that they had done something to it. Was told according to exrays I needed a root canal on tooth that was perfectly fine when I went there. Gave me a referral to specialist for root canal since he doesn't do them and said have a nice day. I waited a few days before contacting this office to tell them I want a full refund if I'm going to have to pay for damage they did. I was told I would be contacted, so far not.
