I was so nervous going to Aspen as I have had very negative experiences at the dentist's office before, but their staff and doctors were so sweet. They were also very honest about my care plan and actually gave me choices with no pressure.

Aspen Dental did an excellent job from getting me in quickly as a new patient to pulling my broken tooth that same day. Thanks!!!

Everyone involved was very caring and concerned for my mother. The final cost will be 1/2 the price of anywhere else we checked. Win-win!

One of the few dental locations that still take our Medicare Advantage plan that is supposed to include dental. Most other dental offices will no longer take anything but a separate expensive dental insurance plan or pay them up front and file your own claim. Our last primary dentist who we liked a lot quit taking our United Healthcare insurance so we had to find someone who would. Very professional staff once you get passed the front desk staff who almost never answers their phone all day. If you are lucky you can leave a message. That can't be good for business. At check in she asked me to use a Wifi tablet to answer a multitude of medical questions until the tablet locked up and would not clear. Then she printed out a page for my account to fill out instead but it had someone else's name and insurance on it. Once I finally got a new paper with my own info I had to start over entering everything again but by then the staff came to get me before I could finish. My wife waited in the lobby where multiple other people were still waiting and some were loudly complaining about their service issues. Others were standing outside complaining because the doors were now locked and no one would answer the phone. The exam room was so cold from the AC they gave me a blanket for most of my exam which I appreciated but wondered why the employees keep it so cold. While I felt that the professional staff that performs all of the exam steps were thorough and competent, I did not feel that this office has worked out all the many service related issues and appear to be primarily focused on very inexpensive new patient exams to get patients to sign up for more expensive long term care with higher out of pocket expenses. Not sure if we will make this our primary dentist office but due to handy location and the fact that they are up front about insurance and out of pocket cost for all future services I would recommend everyone give them a try and decide for themselves whether to make it their primary dental office.

Went to Aspen Dental as a new customer and a cleaning. The Dengal asst. took about 18 X-rays and then I was seen by the Dental Technition. This tech checked my gum line and gave each tooth a number rating 1-4 with 4 being not good. I had only a few 4's. A few minutes later this tech said sorry but I have to do it again because I hit the wrong button on the computer. Now all of a sudden I have a bunch of 4's... I asked about my teeth cleaning and the tech said you have to have a consultation first with the office manager?????? This is where it gets good. This Manager Micha Mathis said I need a deep gum cleaning and your insurance doesn't cover it so out of pocket will be $232.00. I politely declined and she says you cant decline???? I said please explain that to me. She said you have a disease and we cant clean your teeth unless you get this procedure first as we could lose our license. I told her I disagree and after some choice words with Micha she kicked me out of her office. I asked to speak with her supervisor and she said you just saw her?? She said it was the dentist and owner of this Aspen Dental office Candace Jayne Thompson. I said okay I will wait to see her and she said no get out of the building and I will have her call you. Still waiting on that call... Make sure you also check Yelp reviews and do yourself a favor and Stay far away from Aspen Dental in Blue Ridge. This so called office manager Micha Mathis is very unprofessional and rude. You have to wonder if her boss Candace Jayne Thompson reads these reviews? you would think she would put a stop to this strong arm tactic due to the numerous Yelp reviews I have read with this same complaint. Or maybe this is her business strategy? I spoke with several other local dentists to see if they take my insurance after my visit with Aspen Dental. I explained to them what I just went through at Aspen Dental and all of them said its an ongoing problem they hear from there new customers about Aspen Dental in Blue Ridge, Georgia.

Dr. Barton was welcoming and answered all my questions. Taenla "Lou" was wonderful. Made me feel comfortable and listened to my concerns. Awesome experience. Stacy in hygiene took the extra time to explain to me the procedure. Great office staff.

Dr Okonoboh showed real concern and listened to my concern about my dental problems. He was patient and did not act like he was in a hurry to be somewhere else. He made sure I understood what procedure he recommended and what to expect. He went over the details two times and asked several times if I had any questions or concerns. I am glad I decided to use Aspen Dental in Blue Ridge. Completely happy so far.

Brandy is an amazing hygienist! My mouth feels squeaky clean when she's done. She's very personable and calming... who needs stress when visiting the dentist! Dr Thompson is fast and thorough and willing to make everything fit just right! Love this office!
