Dr. Michael Mashini of Aspen Dental in Benton Harbor, Michigan is by far the best dentist I have been to in 50 years. He's caring..patient..answers all of your questions and is really good at the work he does. I was afraid of the dentist until I met him. I will continue to go there for all of my dental needs and could not be more grateful to have him working on my smile. If you have anxiety/fears of the dentist...this is where you need to go. :) Thank you Aspen Dental and Dr Mashini!

If you want a place who knows how to make you feel bad over the lack of insurance, the state of your mouth because of the lack of proper dental care as a child, and probably a bunch of million other things, then this place is for you. But yes, thank you repeatedly telling me that my gums are inflamed. What do you want me to do about it? Some of us are more concerned if we are going to lose two of our front teeth and worsening the tooth infection. And yes! Thank you to my hygienist today for freaking telling me I need to get my two front teeth filled in! I clearly wasn't aware and don't have panic attacks about how I'm suppose to afford this when I can't even freaking see someone to get a payment plan! My best friend is upset and feels lied to because both of us were told if 50% was paid upfront ($900 btw) then I would be able to get on a payment plan. Funny how depending on who I talk to, it's yes you can or it's of you qualify. And then there's no one ever avaliable! Maybe this should've happened back in September/October so I wouldn't be struggling now to know whether or not I want to continue here. Didn't y'all have a financial dude named Dave or something like that? What happened to him? Did he leave just like the other front desk lady who told me I would be able to get on a payment plan (yes, she actually told me yes I can not if I qualify)

Would be nice if they actually had bothered to go through with the payment plan like they talked about when I first started going. I can't exactly make the full payments they want right now from having to call off of work so much due to another infected tooth.

Confirmed my appointment for a cleaning. Was on time but they were way behind schedule. 45 minutes later I was seen my a hygienist who took X-rays then brought me to a room where I thought I was going to get my teeth cleaned. She explained that the dentist would be in to review the X-rays to see if anything was needed. I was told that my cleaning would not happen at this visit even though that's what I made the appointment for. After the dentist met with me I was shuttled off to their patient advocate who told me my insurance didn't cover the type of cleaning I needed and it would cost me $400+ out of pocket. I will not be going back. I can find a dentist that is not run like a corporation looking to charge exorbitant $$$ for a service and who is respectful of my time.

Excellent staff ...everyone is friendly and knowledgeable very patient.... both dentists are friendly and compassionate ...I'm very impressed with this facility

This dentist was the only one that would work with my insurance so I gave it a shot. You have to go in for a "consultation" before getting a cleaning, which was pretty much fully set up for them to try to upsell me on aligners, which would cost $5000 and are totally unnecessary! I happen to like my teeth, thank you! The day before arriving, I gave the receptionist my insurance information on the phone. They lost it, and asked me multiple times at my appointment to write my social security number down for them. An absolute mess. After trying to sell me braces, I was told they would call me to schedule my cleaning, which is all I wanted. I never heard from them again, but I wouldn't have gone back anyway. This place is messy, corporate, and cares more about profit than your dental health - go elsewhere!
