A transplant from Maryland, Dr. Qamar has been living and practicing dentistry in the Berkshires for several years. She is passionate about dentistry, and loves spending time with her family, enjoying good food, and traveling around the world. She is also a nerd and a cat lover!
Our office is located in a charming 100-year-old house. We have lovingly and painstakingly updated it to provide a welcoming and comfortable space for you. You will be treated in a private, spacious room where you will have our complete attention. Our office is centrally located in the middle of the beautiful Berkshire Hills and we offer full-time hours so that you do not need to put your life on hold to improve it. We are happy to welcome new patients and our dedicated team will ensure you are satisfied with your healthy, natural smile.
At Asmara Qamar, DDS, we care about your teeth just as much as we care about your wellbeing and the wellbeing of our community and planet. In addition to being digital and paperless, we are proud to have the latest techniques and technology to offer best practices in infection control and environmental conservation. For example, we utilize cassette sterilization, which ensures you are treated with sterile instruments, and have state-of-the-art mechanical equipment which conserves hundreds of gallons of water daily. We also have air purifiers to cleanse the air of impurities and pathogens, and use in-office distillation and a plumbed water cooler to reduce plastic waste and transport-related carbon emissions. Most importantly, we practice conservative dentistry to help save your resources as well as those of the planet!

Honestly the best dentist I've ever had. Incredibly thorough, mystically gentle and loaded with modern technology, and you actually get to spend real time with the actual dentist during every cleaning, which is not the norm. I no longer dread my regular appointments.

I highly recommend Dr. Qamars practice to anyone seeking the very best dental care. She far exceeded my expectations with her professional but warm and respectful approach to me for my dental plan. Shes very informative about each procedure and answered any concerns I may have had. She has a unique modern office and together with her wonderful assistant and receptionist I love the friendly team effort and always have a great experience there.

I am a very happy patient of Dr. Qamar. My experience with her and her assistant was gratifying. She has a great deal of patience and her work is outstanding. I got a crown and it came out perfect. The whole experience was positive.

Dr. Qamar is very professional and knowledgeable. Being it was my first visit, I was kind of nervous. But her relaxed, amiable disposition really put me at ease. I had a very good experience with everyone at her office

I would highly recommend Dr. Qamar to anyone who is searching for a new dentist! She and her staff make you feel comfortable the minute you walk through the door! Dr. Qamar answers any questions you might have and thoroughly explains all the procedures while she is doing them. Dr. Qamar's kind, gentle reassuring manner makes a trip to the dentist a very positive experience!

I hadn't visited the dentist in a long time because I was scared of the dental cleaning procedures. However, the environment here was very relaxing, Dr. Qamar was kind and made sure everything happened without pain and with approval before proceeding. Highly recommended :)

I have never felt so welcomed in a dental office! Or, had a dentist clean my teeth!! (Blown away!) I felt like I was the most important person in the room. Dr. Qamar took the time to review my medical history with me and better understand my dental needs/goals, as well as look over my x-rays and explain anything I didn't understand. This personal attention to my dental health care has me looking forward to my next dental visit! They're absolutely wonderful and I can't wait to go back!

Saw the add in the paper for Dentist Asmara Qamar DDS, called, made an appointment back in November, It was the best call I have ever made. Asmara is wonderful, I have been back 4 times, I personally will never go to anyone else . Every time I leave her office after an appointment, I feel so proud to know her and her fine team. I'm so happy I called and made an appointment. This girl is a game changer. She is a dental craftswoman, and borderline Dental Wizard. You won't regret it. Park out back, driveway on the right facing the front of the building.

Great new Dentist in Berkshire County! Dr. Qamar and her staff are fantastic! I had a cleaning one week and the next week a couple cavities taken care of. The Doctor explained everything clearly about the process and it was all painless. There are so many complements that come to mind, my favorite is there is no upsell she cares about what I need. The office submitted my FSA payments to my insurance and I was reimbursed. Thank You Dr. Qamar I'll see you in 6 months!

I first had the pleasure of meeting and becoming a patient of Dr Qamar when she was practicing In Bennington, VT. I was so disappointed when she left that office, but I found her in Dalton, MA-well worth my 50 minute commute!!!! She is the kindest, gentlest dentist I have ever been to. Her office atmosphere is very welcoming and calming. She takes the time to talk to you, ask how you've been ,and wants to hear what you've been up to. She even asked about my husband (calling him by first name) and my grandchildren. Dr Qamar explains everything she is doing before she begins. She is never rushed and continually asks "How are you doing?" I've never had a dentist explain X-rays and actually do the cleaning herself. Her dental equipment is state of the art with patient's comfort in mind. Her office staff are both knowledgeable and efficient, as well as personable and friendly. If you're looking for a new dentist, look no further!!!! Give her office a call.

Dr. Qamar is completely thorough at reading the sensitivity of a patients comfort. She routinely checked in on my comfort level through my initial cleaning, and again when I returned for Crown work needed. I initially was a patient of hers in Vermont and thrilled that she has her practice here in the Berkshires. Her office is friendly and welcoming, with very relaxing decor. Setting up appointments was a snap! Very quick real time turn around. Her extended hours into the evening is a wonderful option. Thank you.

As a person with Dentophobia, I was extremely anxious. Dr.Qamar, Madison, and Karen all made me feel at extreme ease! When you enter the office, there is a sense of calmness. Dr. Qamar was encouraging, gentle, and very supportive. My dental work outcome was way better than I anticipated after years of avoidance, all due to previous negative experiences at other offices. I am grateful for her and her staff! If you haven't seen a dentist in a long time, I suggest her! You will not be disappointed, she is truly amazing!

I am new to Dr. Qamar's dental practice and could not be more pleased with her care. I have had bad experiences with dentists in the past that unfortunately resulted in anxiety around dental issues and a too long lag in care. Dr. Qamar and her hygienist Madison instantly put me at ease and reduced my anxiety with their warm and welcoming natures. Dr. Qamar is not only a skilled practitioner, up to date on the very latest practices, but is also gentle and does an exceptional job explaining everything that is happening. The office is spotless and clear attention is given to infection control procedures. Dr. Qamar has become our family dentist and we could not be more pleased with Dr. Qamar and Madison.

When my dentist of 40 years retired recently, I was devastated. Who would I find to replace him? As I was searching for a new dentist, I came across an ad for a new dentistry practice, Asmara Qamar, DDS. I was drawn to the promise of a "small, personal and comfortable practice". With new patients being accepted, I decided to call for an appointment and stepped into the office two weeks later. Dr. Qamar and her staff were welcoming, professional and caring which put me at ease immediately. Dr. Qamar has a very pleasant, calming personality. One senses that she truly cares about her patients' comfort and wellbeing. Dr. Qamar's practice incorporates the latest technology which provided a greater opportunity for me to participate in my oral care. She reviewed my x-rays with me and carefully explained (in layman's terms) what they revealed. Everything looked great--except for a cavity which had infiltrated the area beneath an old filling! Dr. Qamar explained her recommendation for correcting this and an appointment was made for the following week. To say I was dreading this procedure is an understatement! However, Dr. Qamar and her staff understood this and their calm confidence and skill quieted my anxiety. Dr. Qamar explained the procedure during each step so I knew what to expect and paused frequently to make sure I was comfortable. The next day I received a follow-up phone call to see how I was feeling. (By the way, I'm doing fine.) This blew me away and demonstrated the personalized patient care and concern that is central to the philosophy of this practice. I have been extremely satisfied with my recent experiences at this practice and would recommend Dr. Qamar without hesitation. I am so thankful to have found such a skilled, caring and professional dentist.

Dr. Qamar and her staff are outstanding. The office has state of the art instrumentation. Dr. Qamar not only is incredibly skillful but also goes out of her way to make sure you are not having any discomfort. She also takes the time to explain everything to you - including a comprehensive discussion of your x-rays. I have been to many dentists in New York City. She is the best!

I recently moved to Pittsfield from Boston, and I needed to find a new dentist in the area. I was incredibly lucky to have found Dr. Qamar's office. Nothing about my appointment felt too rushed, she was kind and gentle, and relieved me of any dental office anxiety that I was feeling. She did an excellent job explaining my X-rays to me in great detail. Her receptionist, Karen was also wonderful. After they fixed a broken molar they followed up with phone call the next day to see how I was doing. I can't recommend Dr. Qamar enough, and I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Dr. Qamar's office is modern and appealing. The staff is friendly and competent, and Dr. Qamar is great! She fixed a chipped tooth on my first visit. My cleanings are comfortable and quick. I cannot recommend this office enough.
