Dr. Reem S. Shafi, CEO, Two Rivers Dental is the epitome of modern dentistry. She received her dental degree in 1998 and is a proud alumna of the Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. After her graduation, she relocated to Chicago, IL and opened her first dental practice by 2004. During that year of running her own practice, Dr. Shafi realized she had much more potential and decided to open a second practice. Now, a decade later, Dr. Shafi owns several practices, all of which are located in and around the Chicago area. Her company now employs over 140 employees and 30 dentists.
During the course of her professional career, Dr. Shafi has won numerous awards including her induction into Temple University Fox School of business League for Entrepreneurial Women Hall of Fame for the year 2013.
Dr. Peterson specializes in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and treats a wide variety of patients of all ages. He has been placing dental implants since 1987, has extensive experience in implantology, and has successfully treated many dental implant patients throughout Chicagoland.
Dr. Peterson graduated with a degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Northwestern University Dental School. He furthered his training and education through a program focused in Anesthesiology, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Cook County Hospital College of Surgery.
Dr. Peterson enjoys spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. His hobbies include traveling, tennis, skiing and the outdoors. Dr. Peterson also practices law and teaches at a university.
Dr. Virji is originally from Toronto, Canada, where she found a passion for orthodontics since the age of 13. After receiving her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Dr. Virji went on to earn her DMD degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Downers Grove, IL in 2017. Dr. Virji then began practicing general dentistry for 1 year in Toronto before returning to Chicago and pursuing orthodontics at UIC Orthodontic Program. Dr. Virjis dedication for her profession led to her winning 3rd Place Nationwide for the 2021 Dr. William R. Proffit Resident Scholar Award while at UIC. While Dr. Virji practices orthodontics full time, she also works as part time faculty at the University of Illinois Chicago Orthodontic Department.
Dr. Virji is passionate about all areas of orthodontics, but shes especially interested in the advanced technologies that orthodontics is moving toward. Focusing on advanced technologies allows Dr. Virji to provide her patients with the best experience and results.

The place needs a major remodel/cleaning. They make you fill out forms every time even when there are no changes in insurance or medical conditions (unnecessary)

I took my 4 kids ages 7,5,4,3 for the first time yesterday and had an awesome experience. We've been to a couple dentist but had to change due to us moving and insurance. I heard about Ashton dental from a friend who had a great experience with her daughter and I'm glad we went. All of the staff was so polite and patient. My 5 year old has never sat at the dentist by herself. She's always had to sit on my lap and yesterday she did it all on her own. And not once did she get nervous and cry like she use to. My youngest did not want to get anything done but they were so accommodating and just brushed her teeth and the dentist did a quick check and she was done. I would definitely recommend Ashton dental to other families. My 2 youngest were up close watching the older 2 get their teeth cleaned and again the staff was so kinda allowing them to watch and explaining what they were doing. Overall great experience.

This is a wonderful practice. Everyone takes the time to answer my questions, and do a great job working on my teeth. Arlene cleans my retainer every time I come too. Dr. Singh,Arlene and Ana are very patient with me regarding my gag reflex when doing xrays and working on my teeth. They accommodate my request and use child size pieces to take my xrays. The front desk, Margareth and Bridgett are friendly, fast and efficient. Arlene is my favorite employee, she is a gem, very patient and kind , take care of her so she stays many years.

Very bad experience.they wanted to charge me 25 dollars for not coming to the appointment as I was sick.All they care about is money.They want to extract as much money they can from you.They say they will give you discounts if you buy their membership but I didn't see any big discount.The staff that works on the reception is the rudest

I went to Ashton dental for my regular half-yearly cleaning. As always, I had an excellent experience with the Dr. Azimi and staff. Doctor spent lot of time in inspecting and working on each tooth. Doctor's assistants were there to provide all the required help during the procedure. There was not much waiting around; provided very professional work.

I was shopping at Jewel and happened to notice Ashton Dental office in my way to the car. I had been needing to find a new dentist and hygienist for a few months. I called them and I was able to get in the next day! Ana did a great job with my cleaning. She was warm and friendly explaining her actions throughout the visit. Dr. Khan was amazing. I have some anxiety with procedures but he helped me feel calm reminding me to breathe and saying "your doing very good" during my filling procedure. Arlene came in afterward and explained the whitening procedures I had asked Ana about upon my arrival. The entire staff was helpful , friendly and professional. I feel fortunate I found them during a shopping trip. They are all great.
