Dr. Omura is a native of Kailua, HI and received his undergraduate Biology degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He then went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the prestigious Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland, OR. During his time there, he developed a keen interest in restorative dentistry and received multiple awards including the William Howard Memorial Award, the American College of Prosthodontists Predoctoral Student Prosthodontic Achievement Award, the Quintessence Award for Excellence in Restorative Dentistry, and OHSU Alumni Scholarship for Excellence.
After graduating, Dr. Omura worked as a general dentist before deciding to further his future goals as a clinician by pursuing the specialty of prosthodontics. After being accepted to a handful of programs, Dr. Omura decided to enter a three year specialty program in Advanced Prosthodontics at the University of Tennessee. There he had the privilege to serve a diverse patient population with complex restorative needs under the guidance of highly skilled specialists. Receiving extensive training in both the surgical and prosthetic aspects of implant therapy, computer-guided surgery, as well as other complex restorative procedures.Dr. Omura was also involved in research pertaining to dental bio-materials. Upon completion, he earned his Prosthodontic specialty certificate, Masters of Dental Sciences (MDS), and Certificate in Dental Technology (CDT). Shortly thereafter, Dr. Omura successfully passed rigorous testing to become board certified by the American Board of Prosthodontics (FACP). This is a designation held by only 40% of prosthodontists nationally. Dr. Omura is the only board certified prosthodontist in all of Southern Oregon.
Dr. Omura prides himself in maintaining awareness of new developments in the dental field and is committed towards life-long learning. His ultimate goal is to communicate and deliver the best treatment options to the patients he serves. He looks forward to helping the people of southern Oregon in any way he can with their dental restorative needs!

I am not sure why this dentist has so many good reviews. I personally know some of the listed patients he has responded and they are upset. Dr. Omura should be ashamed of his practices. Stay tuned as some of them will be heading to the State Board of Examiners of Oregon.

I was referred to Dr.Omura for TMJ issues which I heard he was good at. He grinned at me and with confidence made me a sleeping device instead of TMJ one and charged me an arm and a leg. His device resembles a torture device. I have sore jaw and muscles. Now I have pain more than ever. He took my mobility and chewing abilities away, I cannot even bite on a piece of bread. I would never go to this dentist ever again.waste of time and energy.

Dr. Omura is a brand new glorified general dentist aka Prosthodontist. He rushed and over treatment planned my case. He hurt me during the whole procedure telling me I'm numb enough. I was not numb enough rather dumb enough to go to this horrible place gaining traumatic experience. please shower Dr. Omura. No one is there for a smell. I would never go there ever again. His work is a mess. Needs redo in another office with enough experience.

I have been going to Ashland Prostidontics for the better part of a year. Dr. Omura his assistant Deanna and all of the office staff have been friendly and knowledgeable. My monthly recall visits have been a delight and I would recommend this office to absolutely everyone. Simply can not say enough nice things.

Dr Aaron Omura gave me my life back! I can't say enough good things about this man. I have been living with HORRIBLE headaches for 3 years. Went to all sorts of doctors but the pain would not go away. My regular dentist recommended me to Dr Omura and I'm so thankful he did. This man knew exactly what my problem was and how to solve it from my very first visit! Two months in and I am pain free . Like I said I have my life back! I read some of the other reviews that are written here and it is clear to me that the ridiculous unfavorable ones aren't authentic. This man oozes knowledge, kindness and humility. Perfect mix for a perfect doctor in my book!

Dy. Omura is an amazing, very knowledgeable, exceptional prosthodontist. He came highly recommended from a trusted orthodontist. I am so glad I found him. He has helped me so much to finally find hope, a correct bite and professional treatment after a difficult time with another dentist. His knowledge is outstanding, he is very patient, kind and thorough. I felt absolutely well taken care of because he is a great teacher and always explains every step of the process and why he is doing this. I loved seeing new cutting edge methods of finding the correct bite after I had struggled with that many, many years and wondered why there wasn't a better way to find the bite. I am pleased with the lovely office staff and assistants as well. They are all very kind, helpful and supportive. This office is organized perfectly and you never have to wait. I couldn't wish for a better experience and I highly recommend Dr. Omura and his office.

The most undesirable money chasing dentist I've ever met. He gives you astronomic treatment plans to where no one can afford. He absolutely doesn't know what he is talking about. I got second and third opinions because I didn't trust him. He is not all that is claimed. Run away please.before you end up leaving with no teeth in your mouth.

Dr Omura is amazing. His attention to detail and patient care are exceptional. As a dentist that refers to Dr Omura for the most complex cases I see, I have absolute and complete confidence in his abilities. For full mouth reconstruction, easily the most well trained prosthodontist in the Rogue Valley.

Extremely unprofessional. They made my appointment and they cancelled it. The entire staff were not aware of what they were doing. Unfortunately, I had an emergency tooth ache and I had to find another office to go to. Wrong choice. It took Doctor forever to want to see me that's why I left.

I wanted to have nice teeth again and was referred to this office. Dentist did not know where to start or what he wanted to do. his lack of confidence made me walk away from his office. I needed some implants according to my other dentist. I think I now go back to the other office. Waste of my time.

I have recently Moved to Oregon due to work. I waited two hours and the doctor is so slow. He travels from room to room and is very unhygienic. He is uncertain of his knowledge. Gave me five different plans which I was so confused that I did not want to ever go back to him. He poked my lips and did not even apologize for it. I will not go back to this dentist. He is a disaster unfortunately.

A rookie dentist. I cannot tell you enough how awkward this dentist was. Pretty obvious he was trying to up sale in a very awkward fashion. He offers veneers that he wouldn't wear them himself. He needs his teeth to be fixed first. Best advice: practice what you preach buddy. I ran from that office.

Back in September of 2020, I developed severe TMJ and the pain was almost unbearable. I first tried the usual full mouth night guard which for me did not help with my pain and the device was really uncomfortable. My dentist then referred me to Dr. Omura and I began seeing him monthly since January 2021. I didn't have much hope that anything was going to help BUT he tailored a treatment plan specifically to me and I am 100% pain free today in only 5 months! Dr. Omura is a gentle soul who really cares. He is very easy to talk to, very professional, clearly explains everything and is extremely knowledgeable! I highly recommend Dr. Omura and am so thankful to him for helping me!

Dr. Omura has helped me more than any other dentist I have seen over the years with my severe TMD. I have had several custom-made night guards and a splint in my more than 15 years dealing with severe TMJ pain; Dr. Omura's pivots are the most comfortable and easy to wear appliances I have ever had. Rather than my more traditional splint-- a bulky uncomfortable thing that covered all my upper teeth and was difficult to wear--the pivots cover only my back teeth and cause no discomfort while significantly reducing my jaw pain. He is a compassionate and patient provider; I highly recommend his practice.
