James R. Fleenor III, DMD is a lifelong resident of the southeast. He grew up in Georgia and Kentucky, earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Kentucky (2005), and earned his doctorate from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry (2009). Afterwards, he completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Dr. Fleenor has 10 years of dental experience and has been practicing in the great state of Tennessee for the last 7. He is a second generation dentist and has learned a lot from his father, who is a dentist with the Veteran's Health Administration in North Carolina. Dr. Fleenor's main goal is to produce quality work every day and to create the best possible outcomes for all of his patients. This desire for quality at every step of the process is part of why he started his own practice.
Although he gained a lot of experience from working in large and corporate dental practices, it was always Dr. Fleenor's dream to open his own, independent dental office in a tightly knit community. He believes that everyone should have access to top notch dental services, and that the personal relationships he builds with patients are as important as the care they receive.
When not engaged in dentistry or running his practice, Dr. Fleenor enjoys visiting family and hosting them at his home. He is also a skilled woodcarver, having taken part in numerous workshops throughout the southeast, and would like to extend this passion to woodworking soon. He is a practicing Christian who likes deep-water fishing, reading, and constantly learning more about the world around him.

Amber has 12 years of experience in dental practices, ranging from back to front office. She loves helping the patients with any dental concerns to help ease their experience at the dentist. A Middle Tennessee native, she currently resides in Clarksville. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her dog Layla. She also enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, baking and crafting.
Rafael has 7 years of experience as a dental assistant, having graduated from an accelerated program in 2014. He is committed to patient care and strives to create a harmonious and pleasant experience for all patients. He lives with his wife in Chapmansboro, and in his free time he enjoys photography, spending time with his two golden retrievers, and walking the Cumberland River Bicentennial Trail in Ashland City.
Carson is a 2018 graduate of TSU where she obtained her degree in dental hygiene. She was born and raised in Ashland City and currently resides here with her husband and son. She has a passion for dentistry and enjoys educating her patients on different ways to maintain their oral health. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family at their farm.

Dr. Fleenor and his assistant/staff were incredible! So much better than my previous Dentist! Very thorough and informal of what the process would be, POC, and what I was looking at on the xray images. They made sure all my questions were answered. I felt very heard and well taken care of! Thank you guys so much! I will recommend you to everyone I know!

Ashland City Dental is the best dentist around! I should know. After moving to this area, I tried several before having that "at home" vibe. The dentist, Dr. Flenore, is very kind and gentle. His entire staff make you feel at ease. If you have that "white coat" syndrome, or if you are just looking for a dentist... give them a call. You'll be glad you did. I am!

A real down to earth type of environment, not to mention Fleenor is super gentle and he and his whole crew helped me overcome my fear of the dentist after over 10 years without a single visit. Highly recommended!

I dont really leave reviews , usually it takes being really pleased or mad to leave one . The team at Ashland city dental are amazing ! From Amber up front to Rafael and of course Dr Fleenor , will treat you with a professionalism you would expect from a dental office but you also get a personal treatment that doesnt make you feel like a number . If you have been putting off dental care for one reason or another , this is your place . Do not hesitate to call them . You will not regret your decision here .

I'm new to the area and Dr. Fleenor was recommended to me and I was very pleased. The doctor and his staff were wonderful! I had an exam and cleaning with absolutely no pain and I have sensitive teeth. Anyone wanting pain free dental care should visit Ashland City Dental.

Awsome, coutiouse, kind, understanding, attentive. The receptionist helped me with my insurance problem and worked a way that worked out for both of us! Not only the doc and assistant were very attentive to my phobia of dentists and really cared for me and was attentive to my want of a slow paced operation! As well as explained in detail every action he took before doing it I give this place a wonderful review and 5 stars!!! Please if you want great dentistry service consider Ashland city dental!!

Highly recommend!! Great experience!! Everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable. Each staff member ensured my comfort and walked me through what they were going to do before beginning. The office is spotlessly clean.
