Dr. Jeff Rodgers has been in private practice since 1995. At Ashford Pointe Dental, his focus is consulting with Dr. Hughes regarding general dentistry patients with a special emphasis on restorative, implant, and cosmetic dentistry.

At Sleep Better Georgia, which shares an office with Ashford Pointe Dental, Dr. Rodgers specializes in dental sleep medicine. A Diplomate of both the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine (ABDSM) and the American Sleep and Breathing Academy (ASBA), Dr. Rodgers is a board-certified expert in sleep, treating patients who suffer from obstructive sleep apnea and snoring. He is committed to raising awareness of sleep issues and oral appliance therapy as a treatment option for the common, but often undiagnosed, condition of sleep apnea.

Growing up in the Atlanta area since he was two years old, Dr. Rodgers graduated from Norcross High School and earned a B.S. in Biology from Lee University in Cleveland, TN. He is a 1995 graduate of the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. After graduation, he worked for five years as an associate in a dental practice in Tucker, GA. In 2000, he opened Ashford Pointe Dental and Sleep Better Georgia which he considers home and where he plans to retire.

Dr. Hughes graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She attended Clemson University where she majored in public health, helping mold her philosophy of educating patients to guide them to better oral health. In dental school, Dr. Hughes served on the student board of a local free clinic as well as a district coordinator for the American Student Dental Association.

Dr. Hughes combines her passions of travel and dentistry and has completed mission trips in Panama, Costa Rica, Ghana, as well as studied dentistry in Italy on an educational trip during dental school. When she is not at work, Dr. Hughes enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Cricket and Winnie, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers.

Theres no B-team here just the A-team! Well, the APD team! A certified dental assistant for almost 30 years, Susan has worked at the practice since 2007. She loves helping patients achieve successful treatment, no matter what it may be. She and her husband Matt live in Roswell, GA with their son, Jackson. In her free time, Susan loves to refurbish furniture, whether it be painting a piece with chalk paint or milk paint or restoring it to its natural beauty.

Bette has been on the team since 2000 and truly enjoys working with patients as well as the Ashford Pointe Dental team. She has three children and nine grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys reading and cooking, as well as going to concerts , plays, and festivals (pre-COVID).

Lois loves talking to people and that comes in handy since 2019, Lois has been at the helm as Ashford Pointe Dentals front desk supervisor. From Louisiana, shes bringing traditional cajun dishes to Georgia! Shes married and loves to visit her grandson as often as she can. When shes not cooking or grandma-ing, Lois likes to read, play tennis, and go boating. Her English setter named Cosmo rules the roost at home.

A rookie on the Ashford Pointe Dental team, Betzabelt is shining in her position as Lead Dental Assistant. An avid animal lover, Betzabelt volunteers often at animal shelters and has one rescue cat who is spoiled rotten! In her spare time, she enjoys drawing, sewing, prop-making, and photography.

Madi, Ashford Pointe Dentals Sleep Assistant, has been making waves since joining the team in the summer of 2019. The most rewarding part of her job is seeing her patients quality of life change following their treatment. Shes the youngest of three and enjoys spending time with family and friends. Traveling and exploring new places tops her to-do list and being a former college tennis player, she picks the racket back up every now and then. Her three-year-old golden retriever, Dansby, cant wait for her to get home every day!

I was excited about the entire process of saying farewell to the CPAP machine. Staff was very optimistic from hello to have a great day! Dr Rogers was cool like the other side of the pillow.

I don't enjoy the dentist in any shape or form. However, Mrs. Betty cleans my teeth so well. The office is caring and kind.

Dr Rogers and his staff take sleep apnea, and me, seriously. They listen to what I'm saying and advise accordingly, and when necessary, refer me to another one of my providers. When problems related to sleep apnea have arisen, I have been able to see Dr Rogers in a timely fashion. I appreciate both him and his team!

Dr Hughes is one of the best dentists I have ever had. She makes you feel at ease at every visit and is very compassionate with those of us who have a hard time tolerating tooth pain. I highly recommend her!

So thrilled with my new crown!! Came a few weeks ago to get crown placed, but Dr. Hughes said the fit wasn't tight enough which would give me problems. She and her assistant, Betzabelt, fixed it by: 1. diligently working to get the images that would show the lab what was problematic 2. returning crown to lab get it "just right" 3. placing the "just right" crown and doing all the fine tune adjustments to make it "just perfect!" Plus they were super friendly and helpful along the way. I am so grateful Dr. Hughes took the time to get it right and am so thrilled with the way my mouth looks and feels!! THANK YOU, Ashford Pointe Dental!! I am SO SO HAPPY!! PS (March 24) Dr. Hughes and Betzabelt SAVED THE DAY!! The day I was supposed to go on vacation, my front tooth broke and looked horrible. In a jiffy, they squeezed me in and got me all fixed and sent me on my way. SO VERY GRATEFUL!!

Sorry this is lengthy, but I've recently moved to Atlanta. Being new to the area, I'm in the market for a new dentist. I called Jeff L. Rodgers, DMD to get the approximate cost for a general teeth cleaning as I'm looking for something that is comparable to my dentist back home. I was greeted and then transferred to this nasty, older woman, Lois, who was just...prejudice towards me - plain and simple. Instead of trying to help me, she insisted on asking me "...What prices have other practices given you?" I responded, Um...a range. "What was the range?" Um............anywhere from about $100 to $500. "Ok....well....we're somewhere in that range." This was when I realized she didn't actually care to help me. Would you mind being more specific? This woman literally asked me, nastily "...are you looking to find the cheapest dentist?" I wanted to scream "No! There are several practices in this area, different factors that go into selecting a new dentist (cost being one of them) and I'd like something comparable to my dentist back home, weirdo!" Still trying to be professional, I refrained and simply responded, "No, I am just trying to find the best choice for me." She then asked if I would be "able to provide any of my previous x-rays?" Too hurt to even elaborate, I simply responded "No, I wouldn't." "You would need to have new x-rays done." I responded "Of course." She then went on to basically explain the new patient process in an effort to further discourage me. At this point, I am so taken aback by this conversation that I am just silent. She realizes this too and breaks the silence by asking me what my name was. It wasn't easy for me...but I just hung up on her. I didn't see the point in being respectful anymore when she had been so blatantly condescending towards me. I brushed it off and eventually connected with an amazing practice in the Buckhead area who happily assisted me. By comparison, it was such a refreshing experience. I was worried that I was wrong for having inquiries first and the service from this practice reassured me that I wasn't. But I wanted to leave this review so that other potential patients...like myself...wouldn't waste their time with them or have to deal with passive aggressive people like the self-appointed gate keeper, Lois.
