My experience with this practice was outstanding. Prior to going to Asheville Oral...I was told that the extraction would be challenging -- that my tooth was infected and cracked. I was ultimately treated by both doctors Mancia and Hussein on different days for different reasons. Not only were the doctors skillful, causing me minimum pain, but they were also caring and compassionate continually asking if I was OK. On the separate occasions when I was treated by each of them the doctors called in the evening to see how I was doing. Incredible concern for the patient. As a bonus, I was taken for my appointments on time.

I was made totally comfortable by everyone, given that I was a little apprehensive about my procedure, and was pleasantly surprised at how personal Dr. Omar was in the follow up call that evening. Day 2, none of the anticipated pain or swelling. Everything is going well.

Well I had a tooth pulled. It was right next to a gold crown. We had a good time. I laughed at him and he laughed at me. Omar did a beautiful job. He was very concerned that I'm not be in pain. He did a good job with that. It's obvious he knew what he was doing and was experienced at it. Oh my crown is in good shape and it was not Knocked loose by the process of removing the tooth next to it. So five stars for a good job well done.

Doctor Mancia and his team are simply the best! My tooth extraction and implant (from beginning to end) procedures were seamless. Dr. Mancia is a very qualified, caring professional who throughly treated my tooth issue explaining the entire procedural plan before taking the necessary steps for my implant. He and his team (especially Sarah....his surgical assistant) made sure I was safe and comfortable during the entire process! I recommend Dr. Mancia and his team to anyone needing oral surgery! Thank you Dr. Mancia and Sarah!

I absolutely can't say enough great stuff about AOMS! Dr. Mancia and the entire staff are so helpful and kind. It was such a great experience to have someone understand my situation and work with me through everything!! My implant and bone graft have been doing awesome and I am very happy with how everything worked out! Will definitely be back!

I had my wisdom tooth removed there by Dr. Jorge Mancia and Sarah. Even though the procedure itself is not pleasant, Sarah made sure that I feel comfortable and that I know exactly what will be done during my visit, she made sure all my questions were answered as well. Her friendly and kind approach made all the difference! I had local anaesthesia and Dr. Jorge Mancia was checking in on me every couple of minutes to make sure I do not feel pain and that I am doing alright. The procedure was quick overall and I am very glad I was referred to them by my dentist. At the end Sarah gave me a goodie bag that made me feel like I was at an event, and also directions for the next couple of weeks. Later in the day Dr. Mancia gave me a call to double check how I was coping after the surgery. I had no complications and feel completely fine now :).

Today March 28, 2022 I got 3 implants by Dr. Mancia and his office manager (Ms. Diane). They did such a fantastic job that I almost fell sleep on the chair. Everyone in Asheville Oral Surgery office were professional. I highly recommend this office.

Watch your wallet! I was made to get a $350 CT scan before seeing the doc, was not given the option to see him without one. Then my treatment plan had what I feel are upcharges of >$300 for some mixture of my blood with the bone graft material, a possible >$500 surgical stent and and additional fee for an interim x-ray. Mancia calls it "best practice" I've had 2 successful implants with none of the above. I asked and presented my case for them just keeping the 50% of what my insurance paid for the CT scan and they'd have none of it. So my $90 consultation was 90 + 175. I guess Dr. Mancia needs more money for his scuba diving.!

Had my wisdom teeth removed here yesterday and could not have asked for a better experience. Dr Manica and his team are extremely patient people. I have really bad anxiety in general and especially with medical procedures but after my first time there if I ever needed to go back I would have absolutely no worries. Also after the surgery I had all I've done is keep ice on my face and rest and taken my pain meds but I have absolutely no pain or discomfort and my face isn't even swollen.

I was referred to this practice by my dentist for treatment of muscle tension in my jaw/TMJ-related pain that was beginning to cause damage to my teeth. My dentist referred me due to knowledge of this practice using botox as a treatment strategy for loosening the muscle. I called and made my appointment based on the referral, providing all relevant information to the administrative assistant, including the reason for the appointment and the treatment being sought. At no point during this process did the practice indicate that they do not treat TMJ, or offer botox as a treatment for TMJ. I indicated understanding that my insurance will likely not cover the treatment, and that was OK with me. About 1.5 weeks later, I received a call from the same administrative person at the practice stating that the practice "does not offer Botox for tension headaches," but only offers it for reducing wrinkles in the forehead. I explained (again) that I was being referred for TMJ, not tension headaches, and clarified if this practice treats TMJ. I received a roundabout answer that they do, but do not treat it frequently and that it is "hard to treat and you have to stay on top of it," and that they refer TMJ cases out to other practices that are as far away as Charlotte. I clarified again that this practice, a maxillofacial specialist, does not treat TMJ--one of the most common disorders people are referred for--but DOES treat wrinkles with Botox? And received a confirmation that this is a correct statement. So, uh, come here if you want to look more youthful after your tooth extraction.
