Dr. Peter Pang has been a practicing General Dentist for more than 30 years. His dental office, located in the Biltmore area of Asheville, provides General Dental Services, Cosmetic Dentistry, Orthodontia, and Periodontal with a holistic approach.
Dr. Peter Pang DDS graduated from the School of Dentistry Loma Linda University in 1987. His passion for learning has never abated. In North Carolina, the requirement to maintain a dental license is only 15 hours. Dr. Pang typically takes 200+ hours per year.
A native of the San Francisco area, Dr. Pang moved to Asheville to participate in the great outdoor activities. His wife, Caroline, is from Ireland and they both enjoy the many similarities between Asheville, San Francisco, and Ireland especially the music.
We are very fortunate to have Graham as part of our team here at Asheville Holistic Dentist. She provides us and our clients with herbal remedies, tinctures, teas, salves, essential oils, recipes, at-home wellness kits and so much more.

I believe in wholistic dentistry (biological dentistry) so tried this dentist. They told me I needed and enormous amount of things that were going to cost me thousands of dollars. Also, they weren't totally respectful. I felt uncomfortable so I looked for someone else. I found Black Bear dental in Hendersonville which was a farther drive, but I was SO GLAD I did it because they let me know I didn't need half of what I was told. They are also biological dentistry and gave me a natural remedy that helped my gums, plus are so friendly and kind and saved me thousands of dollars. Just an FYI.

Dr. Pang is awesome. This gentle-man is a highly skilled technician who is never satisfied with the status quo, both treatment wise and philosophically. He and his staff take the extra time to make certain that details, e.g. colour matching of restorations, are just right and include your final approval. His staff are patient, conscientious and professional. I never felt rushed, unlike other practices, where the philosophy was akin to some sort of dental assembly line for people. Additionally, Dr.Pang will never, ever recommend amalgam fillings. I feel fortunate he's my dentist.

Dr. Pang and his staff are changing my life! I cannot say enough good things about this Dentistry practice. They have helped me overcome a 25-year problem with fear and anxiety related to dental care. They are concerned about their patients' welfare, first and foremost, and are kind, sensitive and caring. Dr. Pang is hands-down the most skilled dentist I've ever encountered --and I have seen quite a few well-respected dentists in several different parts of the country. At age 68, I had never had painless dentistry and actually believed it was a myth. Then I found Dr. Pang! I haven't seen the level of technical skill and diversity of treatment options at other practices that I've seen here, nor the same level of care and attention to detail. In my experience, this one stands out above the rest.

Even the waiting area is peaceful - my cleaning and check up with Taylor is always gentle and thorough. This dental practice is an answer to prayer for me, and I am so grateful for all the creative work Dr. Pang has done to restore my teeth! I can't sing his praises enough!

Dr. Pang is amazing! I've been going to him for about 5 years and I have noticed a huge difference in the oral care I've received, from regular cleanings to fillings and a crown. It seems like I've always had issues with fillings from other dentists but not Dr. Pang. He is truly a skilled dentist. His hygienist Taylor was so calm, thorough and knowledgeable. I love that they provide more suggestions to implement in my daily routine and lifestyle to improve my oral health. I cannot thank them enough!

I have been asked 3 times to do this review. I don't like to give bad reviews but they asked. I don't appreciate being told I am vain because I don't want metal braces. If you had listened to me you would have heard that braces were very painful for me as a child and I don't feel I need them. If I were vain I would get braces. I am not going to pay for your TV Ads. You are the most expensive dentist in town. I also don't want to feel like I am at a used car lot being sold every time I walk in the door. Be careful what you ask for.

I had a great experience at Asheville Holistic Dentist. The technician was very knowledgeable about best at-home dental practices and Dr. Pang was very attentive and made me feel super comfortable - they also have payment plans to help with accessibility and affordability. Overall would recommend!
