Dr. Paige Leahy graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1993, with a BS degree in dentistry and again in 1996 with a doctoral degree in dental surgery. After graduation, she completed a one-year internship with the NC Department of Corrections Dental Services. Dr. Leahy continues to take many continuing education courses to advance her skills. Dr. Leahy, as a North Carolina native, loves living in Asheville with her husband, Charles, and daughters, Emily and Meghan.
Dr. James Maddox graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1982 with a BS degree in biology, and again in 1986 with a doctoral degree in dental surgery. Following graduation, he attended a year-long General Practice Residency at the Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Maddox has completed five continuums at the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and four others at the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Education. Dr. Maddox is a lifelong resident of Asheville, where he now lives with his wife, Denise, stepson, Ryan, and son, Cooper.
Digital x-rays are quickly becoming adopted by a large percentage of the dental industry. A digital x-ray allows the dentist to take an image of the tooth or teeth and put it into an imaging program. Within this imaging program, there are a number of tools that will allow the dentist to take a very close look at the teeth and surrounding structures with amazing accuracy. As a benefit to the patient, the digital x-ray also provides nearly 80% less radiation than a standard x-ray. This is due to the fact that the digital version of the x-ray is much more sensitive to this radiation and has been specifically designed with the patient in mind.

If you arent satisfied with your teeth but the thought of wearing braces has stopped you from making a change, Invisalign is perfect for you! Invisalign uses clear, plastic alignment trays to gradually move your teeth into their prescribed position. The trays are practically invisible, comfortable, and removable during meals. You will get a new set of custom-made trays approximately every two weeks during treatment. You will end up with the beautiful smile you desire without the hassle of a mouthful of metal!
Simply put, dental implants are replacements for the root or roots of a tooth. Made from high-grade titanium or stainless steel, dental implants can be used to secure crowns, bridgework, and dentures by various means.
Dental 3-D Cone Beam Computed Tomography is a specialized type of dental radiograph used when standard 2-D x-rays are not sufficient. The CT scanner generates 3-D images of dental structures, soft tissue, nerve paths and jaw bone in a single scan. These high-resolution scans can be used in conjunction with the latest software to reach a level of detailed diagnosis and treatment planning previously unavailable.
The intraoral camera is an amazing diagnostic tool for viewing different angles in the mouth that we would not have been able to just a few years ago. The camera gives us the ability to view the entire mouth on a monitor so that we can get a closer look at any potential issues or problems that may arise. In addition, the patient will have the ability to see for themselves first hand the same images we are seeing. These digital images are also excellent for gaining procedure acceptance from insurance companies.

I had my wisdom teeth removed and Dr. Maddox and wonderful Victoria were terrific at making me feel at home. Victoria made sure I was comfy and that all my questions were answered and even comforted me while Dr. Maddox gave me local anesthesia. The surgery went smooth, and even though I was nervous about doing a surgery awake, Dr. Maddox made it look easy and I start the healing process today. It was definitely a pleasant experience, all things considered.

Wow!!..Do not go anywhere else. This is your new Dentist Office. Went today and I was blown away. The entire staff was nothing short of just Amazing.. Dr. Maddox was great. His bedside was again, amazing. He explains everything and takes time to answer any question you may have. He does not make you feel like you are taking too much of his time, like some do. I am so excited to be a new patient here.

The best EVER!!! I have had a lot of teeth pulled in my lifetime, but never one so quickly and painlessly!!! I am not a regular patient, and yet they made me an appointment!!!! So caring and so professional!!!! I love this place !!!

I've been coming to Dr. Leahy and her staff for 5 years. Even though no one seems to like visiting the dentist, I actually look forward to going there. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, all the hygienists are very skilled and everyone has a smile and is glad to see you. Gail has been my hygienist for 2 years and she is terrific! She is gentle and thorough and a warm person. Dr. Leahy is an excellent dentist and goes the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable with her treatment.

Dr. Maddox explained every step of removing teeth to fitting dentures. His assistant is totally concerned with my husband and I. They are both so very personable and caring people. And the woman who sat with me for more 20 minutes trying to figure out the best way to maximize our insurance and rhe money left on our health savings plan, went above what she had to do. I have never had someone take that time trying to help us with payment. Thank you!

I have been coming to this practice since I was a kid! I really feel like they are family when I come here. Dr Maddox and Dr Leahy are both fabulous I would trust either of them with any treatment. I also have shadowed their office as a dental assistant and it really impresses me all the things they are really just doing right. I have referred 3 friends to here when they were in search of a dentist. They work with lots of different insurance companies, some of which my friends had a hard time finding someone to accept theirs. They all were very happy with their recommendations and help and have since also become regular patients. I will probably come here for the rest of my life! I love all of the assistants and hygienists here they are all so sweet and caring. Very understanding and are great about explaining any questions you may have! Thank you all for all of your care!

Hands down best office around! Lifer here with this crew! Dr. Maddox did an amazing job with my oral surgery and I was a nervous nelly. Teresa calmed my nerves and had me laughing to ease any apprehension I had. My son loves Dr. Leahy and her assistants! He loves going to see them! My hygienist Mandy is always gentle and informative! I couldn't have asked for a better more caring office!

My previous dentist was certainly adequate and experienced but I get a fresh, caring vibe at Asheville Aesthetic Dental Partners. I have been a patient of Dr. Leahy's at Asheville Aesthetic Dental Partners ever since we moved to Asheville 16 years ago. Never even crossed my mind to go anywhere else. Routine visits are always good and the few times I needed immediate care, I got it. Had some cosmetic work done on my front teeth eight years ago. Been smiling ever since and wish i'd Had it done sooner.

My teeth were a bit crooked and I went searching for a dentist who could do what is called the 6 month smile. Doctor Leahy and her team were excellent. I got my braces off in 6 months and it looks amazing. They are really tops at what they do. Personable and they care about your opinions. Jean her assistant is wonderful. I would highly recommend this dental practice to anyone. I know a bit about it because my son is a dentist in Maine and he is excited with the results. The front office is friendly and professional. Now I have a beautiful smile! It was well worth the time and the money. 5 stars!
