My daughter's teeth are doing well with braces BUT THE OFFICE NEVER ANSWERS THE PHONE. Forget getting in for issues, they can't schedule you for anything for about 6 weeks! So it's a regular appt before then! With my next child in braces we are definitely going somewhere else.

I originally brought my oldest daughter here and absolutely loved them. When the time came for my middle daughter to come here it seemed like a no brainer. Now that she is here I'm so unhappy with the way her treatment has went. They have changed orthodontist three times since she has been here. Her back brackets that they put on both came off working two weeks after she told them she was biting them. When calling to get them put back on they couldn't see her for four weeks. It's ridiculous. I love some of the staff that has been here since my older daughter was here but my third child is also gonna need braces. I will not be bringing her here.

If I could do zero stays I would we started with one female orthodontist, who we loved & prepaid for the course of braces with. Unfortunately we received no notice that the first female orthodontist left, so when we came for his appointment and the whole staff and her was gone. When my son seen the new male orthodontist he changed our whole course plan, without me in the office (they was making everyone stay in their cars still) and then not only talked to my 15 year old about the plan but also Financial stuff since we had already prepaid the whole total up front. I asked to speak to the office manager and she was not helpful. She acted as if she didn't care, was to busy doing everything else while talking to her. Then they switch my appointment from the Greenville office to their other office which is a hour from my house without letting me know due to changes in doctors. Showed up to Greenville office and they was closed so I looked at the card and it says Greenville office. So I called and was told I needed to go to the other office and he would be a "worked in"!! Then next time we went to his next appt and surprise there's a another new female ortho when I asked about his course plan, she told me to disregard that plan this was the new plane. Again extending his time in braces! He wasn't happy! I'm not happy! After speaking with the new ortho she went back to her office, out of sight. As if she was hiding because I explained I was not happy. I asked again to speak to the office manager and was told she would call me she was "out"'of the office but could clearly see her in her office. Never received a call. His next appointment would had been the week of August 15 but we was called by the office that appt was cancelled due to lack of staff. No option to reschedule at this time- I was just called to cancel the appt. The girl on the phone was very rude and thought she hung the phone up but didn't and was talking very nasty about all these patients on the phones. When I called back again speak to the manager I was told she would Call me back and never did. Here we are over a month almost two months past his time to be seen and still no appointments available. Since we prepaid for these braces we will end up now paying extra to go somewhere new. We do not recommend this place.

Unsure if it's even still open. Calls aren't ever answered or returned. One day this week I happened to be in the area so stopped by to check on my on the status of my daughter's appointment and the parking lot was empty and the doors locked. This was at 3 p.m. on a Tuesday. So my next question is.... who can I get to remove braces that I've already paid for?

Does this practice EVER actually answer the phone? Also, today is August 4, 2022 and they still have their July 4th voicemail on, so looks like they also don't check voicemail either. When you're paying 5-6 thousand dollars for braces and you can never get anyone on the phone for help, its beyond frustrating! I do NOT recommend this practice!

We really wanted to love this place. Our children go to Ashby Park Dentistry and love it there so we were recommended to Ashby Park Family Orthodontics. We started with one female orthodontist, prepaid for the course of treatment for my 7yr old, and began. Several months into treatment the female orthodontist told us she was moving to another state and introduced another orthodontist, a male. My son saw the male orthodontist once. The next time we went to an appt I asked for new elastics because our previous bag had run out (the cheetah ones), we were given a much larger, thicker elastic than my son had previously been instructed to use (whale ones). We got to the next appt and I told my son to tell the ortho I had a question about the elastics. At the end of the appt I was called back to the chair and a new female ortho asked what was wrong with the whale elastics. I told her nothing was wrong with them but they were quite a bit bigger and thicker than the previous cheetah ones he was given to use and we weren't given an explanation for the change. The new ortho explained the whale was her preference and my son's previous elastic hadn't been written down. I nodded and the ortho retreated to her office, out of sight. I stood there, wondering if I wasn't missing something important. I asked the assistant- who had started to lead us out by this time- if my son was still supposed to be wearing his headgear every other night as he had previously been instructed. The assistant disappeared around the corner and I could hear her ask my question. From the discussion we could hear the ortho was unaware my son was wearing it every other night but if that was what we had been doing to continue. My son is happy and healthy and tolerating all his appliances much better than any (now 8yr old) kid should have to and he has made progress. I was going to bring up my concerns regarding the miscommunication and changes to his previous plan at the next appt which would have been this upcoming week but was just called by the office that appt was cancelled due to lack of staff. No option to reschedule at this time- I was just called to cancel the appt. So we did very much like it here when we started treatment. Now we are wondering if we should cut our losses and seek better care elsewhere.

Was unaware that original orthodontist was no longer there until this week. Interim ortho was great and very knowledgeable but much of the staff we interface with seem new and appointments are taking much longer than they used to. Hoping they find someone great to lead this practice before it goes further downhill.

After my son somehow missed an appointment I was able to reschedule. When arriving at the office the whole staff including the Orthodontist he has been seeing for the past 2 years has changed. We didn't recognize a single person. This isn't the first time Ashby Park has done this. Once you are comfortable with the person treating your children they change the whole office staff. This also isn't the first time but the third time we have had a scheduling issue. I use to love Ashby Park on the family dental and Orthodontics side.

Both of our teen sons (14 and 13 years old) have been coming here regularly. Everybody is super nice, they're well organized and they perform great work. We even witnessed acts of exceptional kindness and compassion. Wonderful place, highly recommend it!!!

While we have been pleased with the treatment for our children, the office management and insurance filings have been nothing short of a disaster. We switched insurance during the treatment and it took months to get the new insurance filed. We were constantly told that it was filed but every time I called the insurance company they had never received anything. Meanwhile every other doctor we saw was able to get things filed with the insurance within days. While we waited for the new insurance to be filed we continued to be charged our monthly payments. By the time everything was finally filed and paid we accumulated a very large overpayment. Knowing there would be additional payment from the insurance I tried for months to have our automatic payments stopped. Each time I called I was told they would be stopped that month and yet our card continued to be charged for probably 3 months for two kids. We have been trying for months to get this refunded and it is nothing short of a runaround at this point. We were told in May we would be refunded that month and it is now November and we still don't have our refund. The blame is put on the outside servicing company and now I don't even get return calls from the office manager. The last time I called and actually got a person to answer they saw my number and immediately started with the excuses. The office manager was supposedly in a meeting. I was told yet again they were waiting on the person at the third party servicing company to respond to them. The latest tactic is to tell me other people have called that day as well about refunds. It certainly wouldn't surprise me if that's the case, but I'm not sure how telling me other people have the same problem is supposed to make me feel better. So while the doctors and assistants have been great to work with the insurance and management are having a very negative impact on your business. I will likely be consulting with an attorney soon or filing a claim in small claims court.
