For me, dentistry is about individual patient wellness. The critical link between dental health and overall systemic health is no longer debated. Oral health is so much more than just a bright smile. I enjoy working one-on-one with patients, assessing their clinical needs and finding solutions that are right for them. Its a good feeling when, together, we get them to a healthier mouth and a happier smile.

I graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Oregon Health Sciences University in 1984 and have been practicing since that time. I had long contemplated working in the medical field and, after taking some classes and speaking with various dentists, I realized this was an excellent fit for my skills and interests.

Its rewarding to care for people of all ages and from different backgrounds. I like finding out about their experiences, learning their stories and doing my part to make their oral health a good part of the equation.

To put it simply, our staff cares. They make the practice. These people are pros and everything they do reflects that. Excellence is their routine. I complete many hours of continuing education every year to stay up to date on rapidly changing dental procedures, technical instrumentation, and medical knowledge. Ongoing education is essential for any medical professional and for a dentist its critical. I take a range of courses each year to learn from leading practitioners and researchers, in order to provide patients with proven, advanced options.

I grew up in the southern part of San Diego County, California. Ive lived in Spokane, full time, since 1997. Prior to that, I moved around a lot as a rescue helicopter pilot with the United States Air Force.

I began practicing dentistry in the United States Air Force following graduation from dental school at the University of Washington in 2000. I grew up here in Spokane and knew from an early age that I wanted to work in the dental field. I appreciate the combination of science and art, and how each patient presents a unique set of challenges that we can work on together, to achieve your dental goals.

I am happy to have a family-friendly practice. Its a good feeling to care for infants through grandparents, and even great-grandparents. I value the trust families place in us and am committed to delivering care that ensures top oral health.

Dentistry, like all areas of healthcare, is constantly changing. Technological advances come to market at a dizzying speed. It is my responsibility to stay current on new options and to evaluate each one carefully, so as to selectonly the best for the practice.

Each year I complete many hours of continuing education: attending meetings, seminars, and lectures, along with being an active member of the Spokane Study Club. Staying up to date on new options means Im able to serve my patients better, and provide a treatment experience and results that have them smiling!

Except for the years in school in Seattle, Ive lived my whole life in Spokane. My wife, Christine, and I have two awesome kids. I also look forward to spending time with family and friends and participating in numerous hometown activities (Bloomsday, Hoopfest, museums, plays, etc.).

Hi, and welcome to Ash and Rowan Family Dentistry! Youll meet and see me throughout the office, as I wear a lot of hats, all to make sure that your visit with us is a positive one. I am the front office coordinator and a certified dental assistant. I started my oral health career in 1990 and joined Ash and Rowan Family Dentistry in 2007.

I handle scheduling, review treatment plans and options, set up financial arrangements, and coordinate with specialists. In addition, Im the office tech support when one of the computers doesnt want to behave and when needed, I assist the doctors and hygienists and help with sterilization.

I grew up north of Spokane and have lived in the area all my life. When we are not busy watching our favorite players, (our children), we enjoy Chiefs Hockey and Indians baseball games. Family camping and fishing round out our summer adventures.

In 2009, I completed an expanded functions dental assisting program and am now licensed to place fillings when needed. We have a terrific team, filled with kind, talented people who really care about our patients

I work in the clinic, seating patients, preparing them to see the doctor and explaining what we will be doing. Sitting chairside, I assist the doctor with the procedures while supporting our patients and when were done, I offer homecare instructions. Tracking inventory and ordering supplies round out my day.

Ive worked in the field since 2004 when I completed my Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene at EWU. I joined Ash & Rowan Family Dentistry the following year and love working with these talented people who are committed to doing what is best for our patients. The atmosphere here is relaxing and fun. Patients who initially come in feeling fearful and stressed return for recall with confidence.

I work closely with patients to assess their oral health and provide a range of preventative maintenance care, as well as treat periodontal, (gum), disease. Another important part of my job is educating patients about the critical connection between dental care and overall health, offering practical advice that helps them make positive changes in their homecare.

I married my high school sweetheart over 35 years ago. As a military family, we traveled a lot and decided to make Spokane our home when my husband retired. We have 3 grown children and four grandchildren. I love to read, quilt and knit.

I started working in the dental field in 1968, completed a one year dental program in San Francisco and worked in Oral Surgery for 30 years. In 2003 I joined the Ash and Rowan team and love that I work with colleagues who have become friends. This is a fun office for patients and staff.

You will meet me in the clinic and operatories. I sterilize all of our instruments, sanitize the operatories between every patient and set up the individual stations so they are ready for your procedure.

Outside of work, my favorite hobbies include gardening, antiquing, and spending time with my family. My husband and I have been married more than 40 years. We have a son, two grandchildren and, since I am a cat person, we also have two cats. We own a family cabin at a local lake where we have enjoyed many years of boating.

Welcome to Ash and Rowan Family Dentistry! I graduated from EWUs Dental Hygiene program in 2017, earning my Bachelor of Science Degree. My goals are to provide dental hygiene therapy, educate patients about oral health and emphasize the importance of home care and the oral-systemic health link.

The best part of working here is that I get to have fun with my team and patients every day. A little laughter goes a long way in relieving any stress patients may have about their visit. My team and I work together to support each other and our patients in order to provide the best possible care.

I was born and lived in Vietnam for 17 years before I moved to America with my parents in 2008. I am curious about what the world looks like, so I love traveling to explore the beauty of nature and experience different cultures, languages and all the great foods!

The one-on-one interactions I have with our patients is my favorite part of the job. I enjoy getting to know each of them on a personal level and helping to make their dental experience relaxing and fun.

My husband and I have two dogs, Trax and Trustee, and a Tuxedo cat named Bruce Wayne. I like coloring, reading and shooting pool; my husband and I are even in a Billiard league. We love taking the hounds for walks and spending time outdoors.

As a new addition to the Ash & Rowan team, I spend my days assisting the doctors to make sure that our patients get quality care when they come in for treatment. I also work with team members to ensure that the day runs smoothly and everyday tasks are completed as needed.

I feel so fortunate to be an important part of this hard working group. This is the fourth office I have been with since graduating from SCC as a Dental Assistant in 2011 and I have never had so much fun. I literally go home at the end of the day with my cheeks hurting because we laugh and smile with patients and each other throughout the day. Everyone here has been so kind and welcoming that it feels like I have been working here for years.
