Walk into our lobby where you will be greeted by our friendly staff. We will provide you with new patient paperwork that includes a health questionnaire, request for your insurance information and contact information. We will also provide you with information to familiarize you with our office and how we handle things like patient privacy.
Your initial dental exam will take around one hour. The expert staff at Ash Dental Corp: A. Sami DDS will ask you questions, get to know your oral hygiene routine, and listen to your health concerns. We believe in educating patients and empowering them to make good choices to improve their oral health. We will demonstrate how to properly care for your teeth and make additional suggestions as needed. Our Dental Hygienist will clean your teeth then Dr. Sami will complete your examination and make recommendations for proposed dental treatments.

Ash Dental offices have the advantage of using modern technology to improve dental care. Dr.Ashraf Sami Abdelmalek earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1979, and completed his Dental License Board Examination atUCLA. Dr. Sami has extensive experience in all aspects of dental care, ranging from restorative to cosmetic dentistry; including porcelain restorations, veneers, zoom whitening, and Invisalign orthodontics- as well as TMJ and migraine-headache-treatments.
Dr. Lakani obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the UCLA school of dentistry with one year advanced training in Implantology. She also has a masters degree in laser dentistry from Germany. She believes that everyone deserves a beautiful smile.
She treats every patient uniquely with a personalized plan of care by bringing a combination of the most up-to-date knowledge, using modern techniques combined with the artistic aspect of dentistry to fit every patients needs.

I've been going to see Dr. Sami at Ash Dental for over 15 years. He and his staff administer great and excellent service. In cases of emergency, they are there for me and even will come in on a weekend to help fix any problem I may have. The staff are very friendly and personable to all. I will never switch to another.

Great dentist! I had so many horrible and painful dental experiences that I avoided any kind of dental work. Finding Dr. Sami changed everything, he is gentle and is able to get me numb before working on my specific tooth. I highly recommend Dr. Sami.

The doctor wanted to replace 7 crowns after my first visit. I told him i wasn't comfortable doing so given i have had bad experiences with the work of dentists in the past, expressing my concerns anxiety openly and politely and asked if he would address one tooth and the route canal that i needed first and then to see how it went. He said ok, referred me to the endodontist but as he was replacing my one crown expressed how it would easier to do all 7 at once. He was busy doing this instead of putting in my tooth correctly leaving me with a tooth which juts out like a chipmunk. Additionally after i went to see my endodontist, i get a letter saying they didn't think i was a good fit for their practice, as i was in the middle of my treatment that would need them to do a follow up crown. That left me scrambling to find another dentist on short notice to pick up in the middle of my treatment. This dentist was obviously just concerned with making money and not my well being or the concerns i validly expressed in a polite way. If he wasn't okay doing it he should have just told me from the beginning so i could find someone else to do it properly instead of dropping me in the middle of a crucial treatment. I don't even understand why they dropped me, because i didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on somebody before knowing how they worked? Worst experience ever.

I gave the doctor a chance and ignored other similar reviews, but the doctor does push for expensive services. He refused to perform a normal cleaning because he recommended a deep cleaning (planing). They claimed insurance would NOT cover the normal cleaning because a deep cleaning was needed. I called the insurance and they said that is not true and am entitled to 2 free standard cleanings a year no matter what. The doctor obviously is not keeping patients' best interests in mind. Regardless if a patient needs more extensive work, you should still provide what you can when you can. Not everyone can afford expensive services right then and there. I guess I will be have my cleaning, and if necessary the deep cleaning, to be performed elsewhere.

A very neat and clean office, extremely helpful staff, and Dr. Sami is honest about the treatment. The treatment plan was detailed and straightforward, moreover, the equipment seemed new and modern. The best thing about the office though, is Tarona. I have yet to meet a dental assistant as kind and helpful as her.
