I love being a prosthodontistbecause I have experienced how much restoring someones smile can positively impact their life. I worked with many people who were once ashamed of their smile and chose to miss social events or seeing old friends because they were embarrassed about their appearance. The most rewarding part of my work has been helping people rebuild that part of their life.
In addition to re-creating smiles, I enjoy getting to know all of my patients. Relationships are one of the most important aspects of our lives, and developing these connections are just as important to me when I practice dentistry.
I have practiced dentistry for the majority of my life and still love it. The most rewarding part of my career has been getting to know many of our patients over the last 25 years. The foundation of trust I form with my patients is one of the most important aspects of their overall care. I am excited to share this now with my son, who brings a new level of healthcare to our practice with his specialist training and experience.

The entire staff is excellent. Willing to answer all questions and help with the decisions that work best for you. They all care about each patient and strive to make your visit as comfortable as possible. I am so happy to have found them when looking for a new dentist a couple of years ago.

Dr Alec Zurek is an amazing artist and dentist! He is extremely passionate about his job, as well as extremely talented. He has an outstanding bedside manner. You can tell him and his staff do truly care about you and your smile. I worked with Dr Zurek and his staff for a couple months to fix my smile of missing teeth and they helped to make it such a positive experience. They went above and beyond, and exceeded all my expectations. When I had a dental emergency, I was able to come into the office within the hour to have my tooth fixed. I would recommend Ascend Dental to anybody! Thank you guys again!

Ascend Dental is my care provider, and I can whole-heartedly recommend them to others. They are professional and friendly. They clearly explain X-Ray findings, gum loss status and how best to keep my teeth healthy. If you are from the Naperville area and are seeking a dental care provider, you'll be hard pressed to find a better one. They are consistently excellent.

Drs Zurek have been my dentist(s) for many years. Always very careful and truthful with my dental care. Just finished a crown on a second molar, very difficult to work on. Prep was painless, with much effort for perfect results. I appreciate Dr Zurek's concern for my comfort. Thank you!

Feels like you're a part of a family! For real! I've been to a couple of dental clinics and I'm so glad I found this place. From the front desk (who's laugh is so contagious lol), to the techs and of course Dr. Alec Zurek who is so knowledgeable and very dedicated to his craft. He explains everything in simple terms and makes sure you always feel comfortable. I think that is so important especially for some people like me who gets "scared" going to the dentist. Experience the difference!

My husband had very little of his teeth left from a lifetime of biting and clenching them during his sleep- he was told to get a nightguard but did that way too late. His teeth were broken in different shapes and sizes, but all down to the nubs. We were referred to Dr Alec Zurek who did an amazing job using what was left of his teeth and fabricating and putting porcelain crowns around each of them. They were in such bad shape that this was a very difficult process and required Dr Zurek to do a lot of preparation. The preparation paid off- the teeth are great- they all fit perfectly with no gaps and no pain or discomfort. My husband smiles all the time now. Dr. Alec explained everything to my husband and me throughout the whole process. He was generous with his time to explain what and how he was going to fix everything, and it was clear that he loves doing what he does. The timeline was coordinated with our schedule throughout the process. Christy the office manager coordinated everything and Teresa the dental assistant was also professional and kind during the whole experience. Highly recommend.

I have been going to Dr. Zurek for years and have only had fantastic experiences. Both dentists, Dr. John and Dr. Alec, are so attentive, personable, genuine and skilled at what they do. The whole office staff is wonderful as well. I moved to another city and refuse to switch dentists because I love them so much. Highly recommend!

Being a senior citizen, I have had a great deal of dental work done over the years by other dentists. Dr. Alec Zurek is in a league far above all others! The feeling you come away with is that the entire staff is truly invested in your well-being and comfort. I only wish he were around earlier in my life.

Ascend Dental is the best. At the age of 60+ I needed to have my first crown. My dental experiences have been cleanings x-rays and (way back when) braces. Obviously, I was nervous about to me a MAJOR procedure. Dr. Zurek and his staff were wonderful. They made me feel comfortable and relaxed with everything involved. Dr. Zurek was great at communicating what he was doing every step of the way. My crown looks and feels fantastic. It looks and feels like a real tooth and my mouth feels great. Great work Dr. Zurek, Theresa and Christy.

Differentiated dentist. Dr. Zurek demonstrated his ability to repair my two front teeth (thanks to a baseball accident). His meticulous attention to detail and patient acceptance to only craft perfect teeth are evident in my mouth and that of my family. Finally found a dentist and prosthodontist that I feel I can fully trust. The entire stuff does an excellent job, but most importantly, Dr. Zurek's attention to details is just truly exceptional. It feels like this is really more of the passion than business, and it shows in the way Dr. Zurek and his stuff treats their patients, as well as in the quality of work he does.
