A 1979 graduate of the Johns Hopkins University and 1983 graduate of the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth UniversitySchool of Dentistry, Ross Heisman has owned and operated the Arundel Dental Group since 1984.He did an additional year of training as ageneral practice resident at Baltimore City Hospital from 1983-1984.Dr. Heisman lives in Annapolis with his wife, Patti.They have two grown children, a son and a daughter.

He is an active member and past president of the Anne Arundel County Dental Society. Dr. Heisman and his assistant volunteer regularly at the Anne Arundel County Dental Outreach Clinic atthe Stanton Center in Annapolis,serving the needs of the county's poor and uninsured population.

In his spare time Dr. Heisman is an avid skier and distance runner, having completed over thirty-five 26.2 milemarathons,two 50 mile ultramarathons and one triathlon.Dr. Heisman is a past president and active member of the Annapolis Striders running club.

Routin cleaning last like 2 mins while other people tell me usually it takes 20 mins. Kind of rude to be honest. This is my first and also my last time at this office

Even though I did not have work done this time , I cannot say enough good things about them. Dr . Heisman is very professional as is his nurse and the check-in ladies . The surgical rooms are very clean and hygiene is a must . If DR. Heisman is unable to fix it he will refer you to a doctor who can .

Up until recently I would have rated this practice a 4 but here are the details of my last experience. It seems as the customer experience portion is no longer in existence. As seen below I have even reached out personally to no response. Very sad.: Dr. Heisman, I have been a patient of yours for 13+ years up until a couple of months ago. I had a routine cleaning appointment that someone from your office called around 2 weeks out to confirm. Since you don't do text reminders I asked to be called closer to the appointment date as this was a little far out and was assured I would be called again. A couple days past the appointment I called to find out that I had missed it and scheduled another one and asked if there was a charge and I explained the call back issue. Person said no charge is there so I made a new appointment. Was called right back by someone else demanding that I pay or no appointment could be made. I again explained the situation but this person did not care. I said that if that was the case I'm never coming back, she said fine no problem. I asked to speak to you as you have told me in the past to speak to you directly for any issues. So I guess that either this message never got to you or maybe you don't care either however if this person has carte blanche to treat YOUR customers this way how may more have you lost and don't know why. I was perfectly fine with not hearing back from you but now I got a bill from you for this 25 dollars that I do not owe as I am no longer a patient. I just can't believe this is the way your practice treats long time patients because I liked it there for a long time and you were willing to lose a good customer over 1 misunderstanding.

Doc Heisman does a great job and his hygienist is very good as well.

Not the nicest people. My father never took me to the dentist growing up and now I have to deal with the consequences as an adult. I chose this dentist and went to my first appointment. They did X-rays and didn't even show them to me. Pushed me out the door when I didn't have the cash for a $300 tooth extraction. They are extremely insensitive and rude. I came back a few months later and got the tooth extracted. I was not numbed properly and felt everything. I had to cry and push his hand away in order for them to numb me some more. I was shaking the entire time. Again, they yanked it out and pushed me straight out the door. No instructions, no explanation.. nothing. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Go elsewhere. Don't give these people any more money. The only reason I'm rating 2 stars is because they did successfully get my tooth out.

My husband and I have been going to Arundel Dental for about 40 years now. My children and their children have come here. Dr. Heisman and his wonderful staff are like family to us. They are caring and honest and treat everyone with respect. You could not find a better dentistry than Arundel Dental. Gratefully, Janice

Very rude and insensitive immediately on the phone. Asked about Saturdays and was told no for new patients. They must not need nor want new patients. I work hard 7 days a week and taking off for appointments is not always easy. I will surely take my humble business elsewhere where staff ate down to earth.

The dentist and hygienist were amazing. Very thorough. The customer service at the front desk is HORRIBLE. I have never had a pleasant experience whenever I have called, and left t wasn't much better in person

Their ability to comfort their patients, and for some, like me who don't like the truth about dental needs, are always up front and honest about what to expect. Their professionalism is outstanding from the comforting style dental service to the receptionist engagement. If my appointment is running late, having to wait bit longer for good thorough service, I do gladly. But with technology i can relay my views and appreciation of Great people.
