SINCE THE AGE OF three and a half, Dr. Kaiyra Salcido knew she wanted to be a dentist. Raised in Silver City, one of Kaiyras earliest memories is meeting her dentist for the first time. I remember thinking, this man is here to help, she says, and ever since, Ive wanted to be a dentist. She realized that dream in 2012, after she graduated from dental school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. She has worked in public health however, Artistic Smiles and Airway Institute are her first independent practices. They specialize in the overall health of the mouth, not just the teeth. In partnership with the Airway Institute and using modern, FDA approved approaches and appliances, Dr. Salcido takes an integrative approach to tackling problems like sleep apnea, difficulty breathing, fatigue, migraines, depression, and more.
Aolani strengthens our team with her vibrant personality and compassionate care. After re-locating from Phoenix, Aolani graduated from Cobre High School and went on to offer her services in the day care for two more years. When she isnt greeting our patients at the front desk or assisting Dr. Salcido in the operatory, she spends much of her free time setting up her new home and hanging out with cherished family. Her hobbies include putting her specialty baking skills to the test and playing with her dogs Bambi & Nova.
Ryan first discovered Grant County as a teen, but it wasnt until twelve years ago that she started calling Silver City home, when she returned to raise her own family. She has since been working in a range of health care fields including pediatrics, hospice, pain management, dental and now airway! Ryan joined the team in the early spring of 2020 and is thrilled to take any opportunity to educate the community about all of the new ways we can help people breathe, sleep and grow. I am so proud to be a part of this dental team, I love giving folks around here more reasons to smile she says. When Ryan isnt involved in airway education or dental assisting she can be found at home enjoying time with her family, playing with her dog Felix, or playing video games with friends.

Dr. Salido and her staff are wonderful. You can tell how much they truly care about their patients. They have the most modern equipment and expertise, which is very much appreciated. But the time that they take to answer your questions, the kindness that is evident in every interaction is truly exceptional. Highly recommend.

By far the best dentist in town. We've tried 3 other places in and out of town for my daughter's dental care and Dr. Salcido and her staff are just amazing!

Absolutely one of the Best dental experiences my wife has ever had (and she's had a lot)! Staff was Awesome, office & exam rooms were spotless yet comfortable. My wife had a dental emergency and was turned away by other dentists in Silver City, Artistic Smiles got her in the next morning. Our family will now be switching over to Artistic Smiles! They also offer more services than other dentists in town too saving us a trip to Las Cruces. We highly recommend this dental office!!

Fantastic! Awesome! Excellent! These are just a few words to describe Dr. Salcido and her staff!! I've had Tons of dental work done over the years and Artistic Smiles is by far the Best dental office I have ever been in! Dr. Salcido and staff are truly caring people! I had a dental emergency and they got me in immediately on 2 different days, even though I was not a former patient. I Highly recommend Artistic Smiles to everyone!! Again, Awesome people work in this dental office and treat you Right!! We are going to see Dr. Salcido for our family's dental care from now on!

Dr. Salcido is absolutely AMAZING! She is so good with my kids and taught us so many things we had no idea about! Her entire staff always has the friendliest smiles and they are all so sweet and knowledgeable! I highly recommend taking your entire family to see them!

Honestly I have always hated going to the dentist, until I saw Dr. Salcido. She makes it seem so easy and completely comfortable! The building is beautiful nice view through the windows while sitting in the dentist's chair! All of the staff are amazing! I have been recommending Artistic Smiles any time someone asks for a dentist!

I don't usually rate my dental visits but I had to rate Dr. Salcido and her staff with the highest rating;, absolutely wonderful caring staff. I felt at ease and comfortable the entire time; her being bilingual is a plus! I would definitely recommend you and your family to schedule with Artistic Smiles, I know I'll be back

Dr. Salcido is very good. No pain and she explains options up front to let the patient decide course of action. The clinic is very nice, tastefully done and staff is professional and courteous. I have recommended Artistic Smiles to many people including friends and family, and will continue to do so. Thanks for the great service.

Dr. Salcido is simply the best dentist I've ever had in 78 years of dental issues. She is extremely caring, always putting the patients' needs first. Her results are extremely artistic. Her approach is state-of-the-art. The staff is friendly and professional. I highly recommend her.
