Dr. Jeff Sletto joined the officein January, 2019 when he purchased the practice from Dr. McQueary. He was born in Kansas, but spent the majority of his younger years growing up in the small town of Plattsburg, Missouri. He moved to Springfield to attendMissouri State University, and he received his bachelors degree in biology. He then attended the University of Missouri Kansas City'sSchool of Dentistry and graduated in 2017. He and his wife Lonna,had their first child in 2017 and decided to move closer to family, who all live in the Springfield area. Dr. Slettofirst worked for a dental officein Nixa, Missouribefore he purchased this practice. I love working with patients and giving them a beautiful result. I also enjoy the mix of science and artistry that dentistry brings in order to help patients feel better and be more confident about their smiles. I have really enjoyed getting to know the patients that Dr. McQueary has treated over the years. They are wonderful patients and I feel fortunate to have found such a good group of people.Dr. Sletto currently lives in Rogersville, MO with his wife, Lonna, and their son Maddax. They enjoy camping and riding the trails in their off-road vehicles, and spending quality time withfamily.
Dr Betsy McQueary started practicing Dentistry in 1986 in Springfield Missouri. Dr. Betsy grew up in Columbia Missouri and receivedher undergraduate degree from Southwest Missouri State University now MSU and earned her doctor of dental surgery degree from Universityof Iowa in 1985. Shestarted in a dental practice in Wellesley, Massachusetts beforemovingback to Springfield. Continuing education has always been important to Dr McQueary.She has attended national programs at the Pankey Institute and the Continuum in Cosmetic Dentistry at the University of the Pacificwith nationally recognizedCosmetic Dentist. She is also one of a few dentists in southwest Missouri whopracticeslaser dentistry.'I have loved practicing dentistry the last 33 years and look forwardto staying in the profession, but just shortening my working time. I feel very fortunateto be able to turn the practice ownership over to Dr. Sletto and yet still be a part of the practice. The best feature of being a dentist has been the long lasting relationships I 've built with our patients. It has been incredibly rewarding to have the privilegeof taking care of my patients, the chance to now take care of multiple generations in a family. Professionally challenging and rewarding is the opportunityto createbeautiful smile makeovers which is still my passion combiningexcellent dentistrywithaesthetics.Dr. McQueary has threegrown children, and she is extremely proud of them. She lives on her horse farm in Rogersville and raises Thoroughbred horses, which she enters intoraces and works with after their racing days are over. She still enjoys riding.
Lola grew up in Lebanon Missouri. After graduation, she movedto Oklahoma City and lived there until 1999. She then moved back here and now resides in Elkland Missouri. While in Oklahoma, sheattended Platt College in Oklahoma City receivingher Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Certification. After moving toMissouri, she receivedMissouri Expanded Functions certifications forRestorative I & II, Removable Prosthodontics andEmergency Palliative Care. She attendedmany different meetings & Continuumin cosmetic dentistry at the University of the Pacific withnationally recognized cosmetic dentists along with Dr. Betsy McQueary. She is married,has two grown children, and lovesriding her horses and spending time out doors with family and friends. She had a great timeworking with patients and seeing the joy of building beautiful smiles while she workedas a dental assistant. As of February 2018, she has been atthe front desk, where she greets the patients and is able to visit with them and make sure they are using their insurance benefits to the maximum.
Kristin grew up in Kirkwood, Missouri and came to Springfield to attend college and she still lives in town. She attended Southwest Missouri State University, now MSU, where she earned her bachelor's of science in sociology with a social work minor in 1997. Kristin started working the front desk in 2014. Now she is our insurance coordinator; she helps our patients find out what benefits they have and answers insurance related questions.
When she's not at work, she revels in spending time with her husband, two bonus sons, and two daughters. She is active in leading her daughters' Girl Scout troop, crafting and crocheting, and she's the one who makes our lip balm everyone loves.
Shanna has been with the practice since 2016. She grew up in Greenfield, Missouri and now resides in Marshfield. She received her education at Ozark Technical CommunityCollege in 2014 and went on to attain her bachelor's degree from Missouri State Universityin health services.She enjoys showing and trail riding her two Fox Trotter horses. She also delights in campingwith her family, her friends and her two dogs, Rocco and Bindi.One of her favorite things about being a dental hygienist isgetting to meet and interact withsuch a diverse group of people on a daily basis.
Lemmie is from Springfield and joined our practice in 2019 after working with Dr. Sletto at anoffice in Nixa, MO. She received her Expanded Functions Certifications for Restorative I, Nitrous, and Fixed and Removable Prostheticsfrom OTCin 2004. However, shehas been in the dental field since 2000, workingin many different areas within the dental office, including Front Desk, Assisting, Account Manager and Lab Technician.Lemmie is aproud mom of two grown daughters and loves her new role as a 'Mimi' to two grandkids. She loves relaxing at home with her husband and bulldog, Bella, crafting on her Cricut machine and canoeing and camping.
Cassy is from Riverside, California and now resides in Springfield. She enjoys house plants and trying to keep them alive. She also likes to spend time with her family. When she is not outside with her dog, Lady, she is relaxing inside watching movies or reading.
