Excellent care! Very professional and friendly staff. I couldn't rate them more highly. And since the pandemic began, they have invested in even more equipment to keep patients and staff safe and healthy and to keep their rooms and equipment as sterile and infection-free as possible - air purifiers, UV cleaning equipment - there's a long list of the precautions they have taken. I feel very safe going there.

I have gotten a cleaning and a couple fillings over the past month. I have an aggressive gag reflex, and DREAD going to the dentist for this reason. The dentists and hygienists are always really patient and calm with me, and have lots of tips and tricks to help me get through the procedures. Highly recommend!

Very professional and efficient. For my first appointment and when I needed to move an appointment, I had a long initial wait time due to the flood of appointments after COVID lifted some, but they set me up on text alerts for openings and I got appointments both times for sooner dates I wanted. Staff is very nice both in person and on the phone, even recording my availability and time preferences when I wanted to be alerted for an opening.

I just had my teeth cleaned at Artisan Dental today. Such a lovely office, with excellent staff. Artisan Dental has provided by far the best and most pleasant dental care to all three members of my family. My child had significant dental anxiety after dental work in other dental offices in Madison. After just a few visits to Artisan Dental, this anxiety has greatly reduced.

I visited several weeks ago to get some decalcification spots removed. Everyone was super nice and helpful. My only complaint is that they missed 2 spots right on my front teeth. Overall the results were a significant improvement, but the remaining spots are unfortunately on a very visible part of my teeth. All things considered, it was a pleasant experience and my teeth are certainly better because of them, but I'm slightly disappointing with the remaining spots.

*09.30.21*UPDATE* Could it get better? Yes, but only because I had insurance this time. I'm now driving 2 hrs each way to visit here and have my next appointment set. A. W. E. S. O. M. E. *03.36.21*UPDATE* Gold. Standard. Dentistry. I am now 2 years on their own insurance plan (no employer option) and will be moving 2.5 hrs away and will continue to return here for their services. *UPDATE* This place is wonderful. I've been here twice for different procedures, once with insurance and once without. All costs were spelled out clearly in both contexts. Welcoming and friendly staff. Efficient. Get patients involved by explaining what they are doing, and encourage questions. 8.28.17 updated..super smooth and welcoming visit once more! All smiles :)

If you haven't had cavities since being a kid, take good care of your teeth, and haven't had any issues recently, yet you are told you have several cavities that need fillings, pause for a second and consider getting a second opinion. I just have anecdotal evidence based on my experience and a couple of friends' experiences, but it appears that Artisan Dental may be a bit aggressive in their treatment of cavities. I wish I had read the reviews here prior to my experience, as the one and two star reviews seem to have a theme. Getting cavities filled is not a pleasant experience, costs money, and can create inconveniences after the fact (for example, pain while chewing or floss getting stuck between your molars where a filling was placed). I would much rather know how necessary the fillings are, or how "bad" the cavities are, and then make an informed decision from there on whether I wish to pursue fillings. I know that recommendations by dentists can be subjective, but I think that another dentist would not have advised fillings for me and would have just told me that they would keep an eye on the spot. I took my x-rays to another dentist and based on the x-rays alone, he would not have advised fillings. However, he did have a disclaimer that he would have needed to examine the teeth (prior to the fillings be placed) because sometimes you can catch things in an exam that the x-rays don't pick up on. I have had very good experiences at Artisan Dental with cleanings in the past, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasant. However, I felt it's important to advice others a word of caution after my recent experience with cavities being filled.

Going to the dentist has never been my favorite, but I enjoyed my first visit at Artisan. Their office is spotless and their staff is very friendly. I had a cleaning with Destiny and it was quick and painless. I was in and out of there in less than an hour! Dr. Dayal was nice too. 10/10 would recommend.
