Dr. Artime is a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and a 1988 graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine at Alton, Illinois. He is a member of the Xi Psi Phi Dental Fraternity and received the Excellence in Occlusion Award upon graduation.
He is a member of the Decatur District Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, and American Dental Association. Dr. Artime has served multiple offices and as president in the Decatur Dental Society. He has also served on many committees and as a delegate to the Illinois State Dental Society.
Kevin and his wife, Ginger, have six grown children and many grandchildren. They are active members of First Christian Church in Decatur, Illinois. He enjoys family time, exercise of many forms, reading, and travel.
Dr. Eric Wherley is a graduate of The University of Illinois at Springfield, Illinois State University and Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. He graduated as a member of the Xi Psi Phi International Dental Fraternity and received the Practice Management Award for Excellence.
Dr. Wherley is a native of Decatur, IL. He established his dental practice upon returning to Decatur when he purchased a long-established dental practice in 2010. He then merged with Dr. Artime in 2011 to form Artime and Wherley Family Dentistry.
Dr. Wherley and his wife, Elizabeth have been blessed with six children and are active members of Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church. He enjoys volunteering at church and hiking, bicycling, hunting, and home improvement projects.
Teresa has been a part of the office team of Artime and Wherley Family Dentistry since 2004. She has extensive experience dealing with insurance claims and monthly statements. Teresa enjoys flower and vegetable gardening.
Patty has worked as a receptionist in the dental field since 1986. She enjoys greeting patients and helping them with their scheduling and insurance needs. When shes not working, Patty enjoys family time with her husband, two daughters and granddaughter. Patty also loves decorating for the holidays, including the office!
Brenda has been assisting since 1986. She began her career as a dental assistant with Dr. Davey. Her commitment to her patients continued after Dr. Daveys retirement and continues to enjoy working with patients of all ages. Brenda enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and two grandchildren.
Diane has been a part of the front office team of Artime & Wherley Family Dentistry since 2005. She enjoys working with patients and making them feel welcome when they come to the dental office. Decatur has always been her home. Dianes heart belongs to a husband, two sons and two daughters-in-law. Her favorite moments are those spent with family & friends, her flower garden and cheering on the Illini & St. Louis Cardinals.
Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband Mike and is a mother of four children; Jackson, Samuel, Morgan, Tiffany and son-in-law Ryan. She also enjoys time spent with her grandchild, Finley. Michelle has been a dental assistant since 2002 and is excited to be part of the team at Artime & Wherley Family Dentistry. She loves to paint and decorate for herself and others. Michelle is an active member of Life Foursquare Church.
Sasha graduated from Parkland College in 2011. She currently lives just outside of Decatur in the country with her husband Rollin and two children. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family on their farm where they grow corn and soybeans as well as raise beef cattle.
Angie graduated from Lakeland College in Mattoon, IL, as a Dental Assistant in 1984. Her education was informational; however, working with patients hands on is the most educational. She enjoys learning something new every day. Angie enjoys the variety of care and treatment she provides to each individual. Angie loves being able to restore someones smile and at the same time, their sense of self confidence. A smile is worth a thousand words.
Jeana graduated from Southern Illinois University with an AAS in Dental Hygiene and a BS in Health Care Management. She has worked both as a Registered Dental Hygienist and a dental educator in a public health setting. Jeana is married and has a grown daughter and son. She enjoys traveling and spending time with family.
Marsha received an AAS in Dental Hygiene from Lake Land College in 2008. She enjoys spending her time with her husband and two daughters. Marsha loves travel and is a member of Destiny Fellowship in Moweaqua, IL.
Deja has been a dental hygienist since 1993 and loves getting to know her patients along with educating them about their oral health. She is married to Doug and they have two adult sons. She likes to cheer on the Cardinals, Fighting Illini and Cowboys. Deja also enjoys scrapbooking and doing all kinds of home improvement projects.
Pennie graduated from Parkland College in 2010. Pennie began her dental career as a dental assistant in 1999. She currently lives in Long Creek with her husband Jeff and daughter Rylie. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends and family.

I do not like going to the dentist, as most do not. I really loved this place! I had Gina, who was wonderful! She was very patient with me as I have not been to a dentist for a few years, which is on me. Gina was very professional and very calming to me. She explained everything she was going to do before she did it. When she was done with me, Dr. Artime saw me. He was wonderful, as well. I highly recommend this office. The office girls are wonderful too!

This is hands down the best dentist office I have ever been to. Everyone is incredibly friendly. Each member of the staff, from the front desk, the dental hygienists, to Dr. Artime & Dr. Wherley are wonderfully professional. I have had several bigger procedures there (at least to me they are, I'm not a Dr lol) and literally every member of the staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. It is a delight being able to have dental work done here. My teeth have never looked better because of them! As far as the office goes, it is very clean and bright. It has a very modern warm ambiance to it. They have some of the most up to date tech in there too like this teeth scanner machine that I have no idea what it's called but it's really cool and made a great model for my teeth for the crowns I had done. I 10/10 recommend going here and checking them out. You can't beat it.

Dr. Wherley & staff are so kind! My husband is not a fan of the dentist, but Dr. Wherley made him feel calm and comfortable. He also has the best interest of the patient in mind and isn't just trying to take your money and run. You can tell the whole staff love what they do and work great as a team! The place is so clean and modern. They even provide drinks in the lobby. Definitely one of the best dentist offices I've ever been to, and by far the BEST dentist I've met in Macon County. I look forward to bringing the rest of the family in from now on. I HIGHLY recommend everyone to do the same.

I have never liked going to the dentist but I love going here. Dr. Wherley and Dr. Artime are a wonderful dentist they are so caring and gentle and funny. But Dr. Wherley is just wonderful he is super nice and gentle and he makes me happy to go to the dentist not scared . They are a great team.

Came here for the 1st time a few weeks ago & had the best experience I have had at a dentist office! From the hygienist herself who did an amazing job, to the dentist himself!!! who was also amazing!!! Will be switching my whole family to here!!!
